Campistan We reached the property with friends around noon. It was raining, and it wasn't very difficult to find the place. It is on the bank of a water body creates by bhivale dam. We had booked a nice A shaped cottage. It is like a duplex, despite the monsoon, in the day it gets little hot inside. The construction is not very well ventilated and we were forced to use the ac intermittently. The meals are average and very palatable. The ***ager Neel, is very accommodative and takes care of almost everything. There is a pool in the property, we didn't use as there is a water body next to the cottage. It was very peaceful despite the proximity of other cottages. Kayaking is the only activity which is being done in the premises. There are also tents and various other types of accomodation which can be booked. The A type cottage can accommodate 4 personnel comfortably. You are permitted to enter the water with a life jacket. There are enough waterfalls and treks in the proximity of the campsite. If required Neel, could help arranging it. The day was well spent reading a book and just enjoying the view. It was very peaceful. The evening was worth spending as the site had live singing, who was again arranged by the ***ager. The site is very close to the road and the signs are not ***y, so be careful or else you will miss the site. The menu may not be very Elaborate but it is very well made. In short, worth a visit and very comfortable.

We had a lovely stay at Radisson Blu Karjat. Its a beautiful property close to nature. We came for my wife’s birthday and the team at Radisson made sure to make our stay comfortable and special. They decorated our room and gave us a complimentary cake. They are very helpful and kind. The staff at Palms restaurant, specially Mahima assisted us really well. It is my pleasure to visit Horseland every year since 2006. Never ever once did I ever think that I would be going to any other resort in Matheran. This place has such a wonderful staff that it astonishes me. The activities they have for the weekdays and weekends are wonderful. As far as the food is concerned, it is delicious. There is a lot of effort put into ensuring that all the traditions are observed. Beautiful environment just feels like a perfect family place. I am eagerly waiting to visit again. Lovely DJ with housie and lots of games for Children and Adult. I love Matheran because of Horseland Resort. My special thanks to Praveen, Mahesh, Omkar and all the staff of Horseland.

A very nice ambiance. Quiet and peaceful place. Lush green surrounding. The staff was very cordial. The food was very delicious. Pohe and mug dal bhaji at break fast was very delicious. Swimming pool was very clean and well maintained. There is a dedicated water purification system with RO installed. In all our experience was very pleasant at the property. It's quiet, peaceful yet safe.

This is a beautiful resort 2-minute walk from the beach. They have two variations, cottages with a small sit-out and one with a small garden. We stayed in the one with the sit-outs and loved those. Due to the proximity to the sea, we could hear the tides in the cottage and at night it was an amazing experience. They offer complimentary breakfast which has a good spread of pohe, sabudana khichadi, upma, sheera, idli, wada, seasonal fruit and juice ***** with live omelette and paratha counter. The entire breakfast menu for the day was not displayed, so on our first day, we did not know paratha was being served. Always ask what is available live in the kitchen. This is coupled with standard toast butter and tea/coffee. A live music perfor***ce (a good one) added another dimension to the experience. The rest of the day they offer a-la-carte lunch and dinner options and we liked the taste in general. Mostly we wanted to explore other restaurants in the town, so did not end up having food apart from the day when we arrived. The rooms are not very big, but ***ageable. They do have an electric kettle and a kit of tea/coffee sachets ***** with 2 mineral water bottles. A hot water geyser is installed per cottage and is not centralised. This place is virtually in a jungle so crawling insects could be seen around the room now and then and while I understand it may not be possible to eliminate that, a bit more hygiene would have been great. Car parking is available next to every cottage. The staff was courteous and helpful but apart from the senior staff members ***y did not have even working knowledge of Marathi and that felt odd. They have a relaxing hammock near the reception common area and also a net for badminton. They have carrom and table tennis as well. They do not have a swimming pool, but you know what, there is a beach nearby. :P Overall, we had a great time and enjoyed our stay very much. Definitely recommended.

Decent hotel for the price. Good organised rooms and food can be ordered straight to the room. Although services can be improved. There was no hot water at the given time and the bedsheet has a long hair stuck to it which makes me think bedsheets were not changed. We had to use or own sheets we carried *****. Intercom didn't work either
