The hotel is located four kilometers south of Tagaytay City, and the scenery is very good. However, the Filipino’s diet is very different from the Chinese. If you want to eat better, you can take a jeepney across the road to the center of the tower. The hotel restaurant window can overlook the entire volcano landscape.

We stayed here on Feb. 16 to 17 (Chinese New Year) and Mar. 29 to 31 (Holy Week). We were assigned in rooms no. 4 (Chinese New Year) and no.7 (Holy Week). Pros: 1) Location is just a short walk to the transport terminal located inside Tagaytay Market (jeepneys bound to Peole's Park, Picnic Grove, Olivarez, and Balibago). 2) Free Filipino set breakfast. They also serve unlimited the best kapeng barako for free. 3) Big rooms. 4) AC unit, cable tv, water heater, and water pressure work well. 5) Thumbs up to the hospitality and warmness of the owner and staff. 6) Affordable rate if you get lucky to grab Agoda promotions. Cons: 1) Door knob in rooms no.4 & 7 was hard to lock and unlock. 2) Sink is outside the bathroom. 3) No bidet. 4) There was a problem with the circuit breaker in room no.4 resulting to frequent power interruption in our room. We took shower in the dark with water heater not functioning. We checked out the inn with our phones uncharged. 5) The bed sheet, pillow cases, and blanket in room no.7 seemed washed but smells bad. Maybe the room we were asssigned to was not occupied for a long period of time. 6) No telephone. 7) Nobody was present at the reception area most of the time particularly in the morning so some issues were not attended to.

This hotel embodies the Eco Hotel principles of reuse, reduce and recycle and renew as it repurpose the sturdy and mighty steel shipping containers. These containers are stable even when stacked together but are quite an eye sore if left by its original state. Good thing that the owners thought of eye-catching murals and relaxing interiors and artworks that when looked upon closely, are junks that have been reborn unto their next lives. The design and interiors of the rooms are cutely themed after the room’s name. For example, the room’s name is beehive or pukyutan, you will see beehives and bees in the murals and some beehive shaped mirror above your bed’s headboard. The hotel also boasts of a unique rooftop amenity: a grilling and camping sanctuary. You may enjoy their cocktails while munching on their unlimited BBQ and beermatches or their yummy entrees like the hot and delicious bulalo, which is a Batangas specialty. Have your glamping goals achieved in here with their tents and sleep or dine under the stars. They also have a playground and a set of swings for the kids and the kids-at-heart.

We stayed at the Estancia Resort Hotel for two nights after having moved out of another well-below-standard pseudo-hotel in the area. The room we were given had a great view of the Taal Lake and we were able to catch a bit of the sunrise too. The room and bathroom were clean, aircon was cool enough. There were enough sockets for multiple charging needs. Water from the shower was hot. Staff were prompt, polite, helpful and welcoming. A few things that need looking into are: - the absence of wifi in the rooms (wifi is only available in the lobby) - the bad smell coming from the bathroom drains - renewing the electric water kettle (it worked but did not turn off automatically and the cover kept popping open) - the fridge had no glass shelf - the cabinet doors are misaligned - the screen door can’t be locked - some areas lack accessibility for the disabled (more ramps for wheelchair users needed since the property spans multiple levels; getting the lift working would help) Our suggestions: A microwave in the room would be a welcome bonus for guests who may need to reheat some leftovers. Replacing the bulbs with LED bulbs would brighten the room and save energy as well.

We stayed in Room 4 Standard Room. The first convenience was the parking, our car is literally in front of our room. It is near major tourist spots in the city. Walking distance to Tierra Maria, Picnic Grove etc. The rates are extremely affordable! The rooms, however, needs improvement but no need to be picky since we got what we paid for and its all worth it. Airconditioning is cold, however, noisy. Staff are accommodating. Will definitely come back to this hotel again.

Crew were very friendly and accomodating. Some opportunities with the room we had. Hot water pressure not strong enough to allow shower nozzle to work. Only one chair in the room made it difficult to eat together. Could have more cable channels available. Aa for food, Siglo never failed us in any of our visits. Same with this one, food and service are excellent.

I am a recent guest and we had an incident. It was handled poorly by the "room attendants" who were there. (Who are mostly sketchy-looking dudes, i might add) So what happened was I noticed that I was missing money from the drawer of our room. I noticed it when we were about to check out. So we immediately went to the front desk to report what happened. This guy, acting like he is in charge, immediately went defensive. He talked to me like what I was saying isn't true. We asked to review the CCTV's and they said that they don't have access to it. I told them that they have to do something about the incident and they looked like they didn't want to. Here are some sketchy stuff. The "guy" insisted that we only check the CCTV for specific timelines and not the whole duration of our stay. He initially said that no one could've possibly entered the room other than us since we have the keys and then later mentioned that a room attendant checked our room and that they have a spare key(as they should). They needed to check our room because they were trying to knock and contact us through the intercom but we weren't answering so they thought we had left. But we were just out eating. When I asked to contact the manager they said that they won't be able to because it's already 2am. I contacted my cousin and asked for help and it must've looked like I was talking to my lawyer while I was explaining what happened because while I was doing that, the "guy" was quick to offer to replace the lost money so we can go. We did not take the money and asked for the manager's name and contact number instead. I asked for his name and gave a nickname instead of his real name. He suddenly became calm and lost that angst that he was having initially. To cut this short, I was able to talk to the manager the next day when we got back to Manila. He actually handled it very well and we had come to an arrangement. He replaced the lost cash and the "room attendant" was reprimanded and proper actions were taken. This was my second stay here. I really found the place to be very cozy and clean. But the personel are not well trained to handle sensitive situations. And also, I found out that the room that we were in was almost a blind spot for the CCTV. I think it's safe to say that we won't be going back here.

We arrive a bit earlier from the check-in time which is 2pm but the receptionist accommodate us immediately. We just wait for 10mins for them to check the room. The hotel was located near Rotonda and near the new mall Fora. Our room is located below and at the back of all the rooms. Was nice because it was quiet and the room is in front of a mini pool but the pool or pond was very dirty. Though we did not mind because the weather that time was rainy and windy. They also spray a fabric conditioner if I'm not mistaken to freshen up the room, that I don;t like because I was allergic to fabric conditioner. The room that we booked was a bit small. The TV set was old, a box type I guess. They also provide 2 bottled water. The room does not have any hanger for your clothes to hang or any rack for the clothes. The sheets are ok but there are stains inside the duvet. They also provide towels but the other towel is a bit thin and not as white as the other towel. There's no Wifi in the room, just at the lobby if you want to use their internet and ask the receptionist for the password, At the bathroom, it was small. The water goes out of the shower area to the toilet floor, so the lavatory area and toilet area are always wet. Also, there is a bad smell from the sink or in the toilet. The water from the sink also has a bad smell and the lavatory as a crack tiles. For breakfast, it was an ala cart, and the only available that time was a sweet sausage or longganisa. They will serve you 3 slices of the sausage with rice, the egg is not yet included, so you have to order it if you want. It also comes with fruit salad but does not takes good. They provide coffee only, no other choices. They also have cereals on the side if you want to. The breakfast area is just beside the reception. Good thing, they provide sleepers for the cold floor. The whole place is nice and homey but a bit musty. Just right for a short stay.

This place is far from the mainstream Tagaytay, it is close to Picnic Grove, People's Park, and the entrance for Tagaytay Highlands. Therefore, a car is a must. To get to Tagaytay proper is 30 minutes upwards. This place has 7 rooms, of which we got 3 rooms for our group of 9. We got a room for 4, for 3, and for 2. Their front parking can accomodate 3 cars only, with additional cars either parking at the basement (hard access), or along the main road. Its really a house, turned into a airbnb. I used the living room to watch the NBA every monring, then go back to the main dining table for breakfast. We brought some fruits and used the kitchen with the help of their staff either to add on for breakfast, or for an after dinner snacks. They even switched on the split type airconditioning for us during that evening. The rooms are mostly on the 2nd floor (4 rooms -we oocupied 3 of the 4), and the rooms on the attic 3rd floor. There is another room at the basement. If the people staying at the attic rooms are noisy, you can hear their steps because of all the wood flooring. Bed frames are very high, higher than a typical bed. Super thick mattresses, but comfortable. Very good airconditioning. Flying and crawling insects were present in the room, which is possible given that the toilet window is open and can allow insects to go in. The problem I have is cleanliness. The staff is not thorough. The upper shelves in the room cabinets were very dusty. Certain sections of the toilets were not clean. The game room at the basement 2 was dusty. Even the refrigerator in the kitchen was dirty. This is really a pity because the service was really great, the staff went out of their way for the demanding senior citizen in our group. People took turns using the main dining room. But some of those occupying the other rooms either preferred to have their breakfast at the al fresco area or they had to go there if the main dining table was occupied. Service by the staff deserves a 5. The place itself deserves a 4. But the cleanliness issues is a 3 at best. Price is unbeatable, though.

儘管如此,還是感謝Jayson(服務員)和Lorraine(前台官員)對我們這樣不滿意的客人的禮貌和耐心。

The Lodge is located in an area where in it is quiet far from the busy side of tagaytay, the lodge has this homey feel to it specially their restaurant Tavern by the Lake, very instagramable if you may, the room that we were given was the Family Room (Room A) it is very spacious inside, you can even host a small get together with your friends inside the room, the room can fit maybe 15-20 persons inside, the hotel has a view deck where you can partially see the taal lake, it’s nice to stay there in the morning when the sun is rising up with a hot tea listening to your favorite music enjoying the great scenery, it is few meters away from Sky Ranch if that’s your thing, it is also near some shops, there is a nearby McDonalds, Grocery, Starbucks, Bag of Beans, Restaurants etc., the lodge also has an ideal area for events like outdoor wedding, birthday party, small company function etc., however contrary to what their site is saying that “All rooms is treated to a spectacular view of taal lake”, the lodge it self is facing the mountainous side, the lake is on it’s far left side so unless you are at the view deck you can not see the lake at all, although SOME of the rooms they offer can partially see the lake from their view so if you are looking for a view of the taal lake better ask the receptionist to put you in that room, I think the Attic room is the best room you can book if you want to stay in this place. Some of the rooms they offer is located below their restaurant the second floor is made of wooden flooring, so if the restaurant is busy and you want to sleep in your room peacefully you cannot do that because you can hear the foot steps on the restaurant specially if kids are running up stairs, you can also hear their chatting, mumbling, singing of Happy Birthday etc. it is annoying really, although not all rooms is like this they have rooms that is far from the noise of the restaurant like the deluxe room I think and the attic room, although the restaurant is not that busy for the most part, but if you come here on a weekend and the restaurant is busy and you want to rest you cannot do that, also the room that we were given is like not been used for the longest time, that the ceiling has a spider web on it the room has a somewhat funky smell to it, the bed runner has a water like stain to it that you know that they did not wash it before they let other clients inside the room, the restaurant is really nice to stay at it has a very homey feel to it the food is good, but it’s on the pricey side, the restaurant is good for hanging out, over all ummm... its meh for me.. the staff tho are really nice, thats what one thing i like.

My husband and I found the perfect opportunity for a getaway during the quarantine period. We both availed of the 'hilot' massage and it was amazing. The 'hilot' - the Palawan rain stone therapy started my journey to relaxation, then the hot but soothing banana leaves on the back was mesmerizing. Even though new normal dictates no massage on head, arms and front of the body, I did not feel shortchanged at all. And my husband who requested for the strong and deep massage was fully-satisfied and is still sore after a day :D. As for dinner, he had turmeric chicken and I the Asian veggie curry which was so fresh. We also had the 'kakaibang' lumpia of mackerel. Everything had fresh herbs! I know that some people who are used to common tourist food will not enjoy Nurture's fare. But we did because it perfectly matched the place - a garden and a sanctuary providing wellness and good health, our main objective for coming over. By the way, do not forget the Basil Ginger tea-the best nerve soothing concoction after the massage and the dinner. We wanted to book for an overnight stay with the spa package but the dates of our travel were full online so I had to book the hotel somewhere else. Apparently, there were internet technicalities and Nurture was not fully-booked then :,( Nevertheless, I still tried my best to find their contact no. so I was able to book for a spa and dinner at late notice. If you are looking for a romantic and unforgettable, serene and healthy getaway, head over to Nurture. We're sure to come back for the full overnight package next time.

We booked Tagaytay Wingate just a week ago before our scheduled post valentine getaway and at first we really don't expect xanything from it. Location - its a little bit far from the other establishment and we were just lucky we have our own car but the road going to and from some were underconstruction. Place - the place is decent enough it is just a 2 story building but it has other rooms near the swimming pool and I guessed some in the underground. The parking space is well managed but their security guard and the security is very well implemented by asking your name upon entrance to ensure you have booked them. Amenities - It has a swimming pool that we haven't utilizes because it was not heated and at that time it is not that clean. I love the complimentary massage in their massage room for me and my husband. That is the highlight of our stay. Room - our room is the deluxe type room with its own restroom,tv, ref, electric heater and aircon for the water. I love the cleaniliness of the restroom and the bed is so nice. We just we noticed there's some dust in the room and that I started to sneeze and eventually I got a flu and my husband got a colds. The receptionist is so kind enough to give me some paracetamol when I asked for it in the evening. Overall we had a good sleep in the room. Food - The food is great. We had this comparison with the breakfast buffet we had with this known restaurant in tagaytay wherein we ate breakfast prior checking in versus the breakfast served in the hotel, and we can say that the taste of food was way more delicious. As I can remember we had a buffet breakfast in their cafeteria and there are 6 to 7 viands to choose from plus rice, soap, coffee, bread, juice, fruits, simple vegetable salad. We really enjoyed the food most especially the famous brewed coffee. I will definitely recommend the hotel for those who wants to have a relaxing stay away from the city. We will definitely go back :)

La Bella is in a great location - there are lots of greenery around the place, and thankfully not much else to obstruct your view. Getting to La Bella for the first time can be a bit of a challenge, especially if you are using local transport. The easiest way is to get a tricycle from the main road unless of course, you are getting a taxi to the place. You can walk to the main road, and should - you get to see a lot more this way. There are a few routes (I found 3), exploring which can be fun. You can drink the water from the tap (thank to Tagaytay being connected to a deep well), and there are no mosquitos (2 of my absolute favorite things about the place). The swimming pool is not heated by the way, which can be an issue (especially during the non-summer months), as the water gets pretty cold. But all in all, it's a nice place. Great location.

We stayed at Pura Vida for one night to celebrate my husband’s birthday. When I called the resort the receptionist said that only one room is available and all other rooms are occupied. She is very consistent that when we arrived at the place I asked for the room with bath tub but she said it’s no longer available and that they are fully booked. We don’t see any other guests when we checked in, all the rooms are open and saw no one else staying at the resort. When she left, one of the guys mentioned that if we want to drink outside beside the pool we can stay at one of the rooms that has a veranda since its raining, anyway we are the only guest at the resort. If Im rating the resort I would rate it as negative 1 because of the lady at the reception since she’s representing the whole place, but it would be unfair to all of the staff at the resort who are nice and accommodating. Anyway we rented the place for 2500 we stayed at Altea room. The room is cozy and the bed is ok. It has a veranda pool view. The restroom has a funny smell, and it’s hard mixing the hot and cold temp of the water when taking shower. Either it’s really hot or really cold. The place is ok though it would be better if the swimming pool is heated but it’s nice and clean. They offer early check in and the check out time is 12pm the next day. They serve free breakfast, you can choose from tapsilog, tocilog, longsilog and bangsilog with kapeng barako. There’s shampoo and soap, towel inside the room. You can always request for a hot water at the reception and they will give you a thermos. They don’t offer free coffee so you have to buy your own. You won’t starve though they don’t have a resto in the resort but there are restaurants beside it. They have a parking space good for three vehicles.

We booked thru online app and stayed last December. The first room assigned to us had a defective toilet flush and television. Good thing, the management upgraded our room for free. We stayed in the older building of the hotel but I think the Annex have better rooms. The room in 3rd floor where we stayed is big and has balcony, which is a good tambayan if you want to feel the Tagaytay weather. But it is loud at the back due to karaoke and drinking session of the nearby residents. The facilities would attend to your basic needs, but I had trouble bathing as the supply kept on turning the water to faucet instead of shower. The bed had stains too, not smelly, but looks unclean. The rooms looked like it was unused for such a long time, and the hotel management didn't seem to bother to check if the room was ready. The gardens and pool are well-maintained, but the gym lacks equipment. The cafe where they serve breakfast has a nice cozy feel, but the breakfast menu is limited. They have enough parking space and guard to secure the hotel anytime. They have 24-hour receptionist if you want to check-in late. The pool was soooo cold for Tagaytay weather. Kids, even adult, won't even enjoy swimming, so we skipped it. Location is good for commuter guests like us. Accessible to the town proper via jeep, bus or tricycle. Near mall, church, hospital, restaurants.
