Hotel San Michele is a MUST stay while in Cortona! It is a beautiful, upscale, clean, and professional business in the heart of Tuscany's most charming city. The staff were all extremely nice and helpful, providing tips and recommendations for restaurants and things to do throughout our stay. Gabriel and Manuel were both fantastic. The rooms/bathrooms were spacious, clean, and very cozy! My husband and I will definitely stay here again, and will recommend to anyone visiting Cortona. Wish we didn't have to leave!

The San Luca is obviously a popular hotel in Cortona and for a reason. Built into the hillside, it is right at the start of the town’s main walking street and basically all its rooms offer amazing views, including the lower situated rooms. The rooms are simple but elegant and the bed sheets are really great quality. The breakfast room also has great views as well as a good variety, including many savoury items. The only area where the place could improve is the reception where especially the younger staff lacks some hospitality skills. They should definitely explain the unusual set up of the hotel as the reception is the first level and the one below is the second, then the third. Given that this is Tuscany, the San Luca is not a cheap hotel but for a gym with a view, it might very well be worth the splash.

Absolutely beautiful and romantic and everything we could had hoped for. In nature and surrounded by the beauty of Tuscany. An awesome pool and swim area. Stunning surroundings, comfy rooms, lovely breakfast. Shuttle into Cortona regularly or as you request it. Just lovely! What I imagine was an authentic Italian experience. Really wish we had more time here. Please make more options for vegan guests, but I must say the soy mylk cappuccino was absolutely delicious

I would love to stay here again! The setting was absolutely beautiful and I took lovely morning strolls. The staff was so gracious and helpful in every way. This is the third time to visit this charming hotel. The staff have changed since last time, with Giacomo, Ariauma, Patrizia and Savta manning reception.. The friendly , extremely helpful Simone at breakfast (and for dinner on the terrace) Plus Francesco managing dinner on the upper terrace. Great friendly people, our De Luxe room was extremely comfortable with a private terrace on the ground floor. Breakfast was really pleasant, with mixed meats/cheeses and so many cakes plus scrambled eggs if needed. Dinner was also a very nice experience, outside with number of choices, always helped by Simone on the translation.. A lovely central location which is more fun with a car which we rented from Panichi Auto ( a couple of hundred yards away).. Didn't have the opportunity to use the lovely pool as it opened midway through our time and we toured around. A really enjoyable 7 nights, looking forward to next year.. Thanks everyone..

Just a perfect visit! We arrived in the afternoon after driving from FCO. Word of warning, if driving, directions are sketchy. Better off taking the train and having the resort arrange a taxi (as our smarter new-found friends did). From the first people we meet - Ms. Sarah, Ms. Jessica, Ms. Santa, and Ms. Anna Maria - there nothing but kindness and honest hospitality. We were shown the layout, kitchen on on end and rooms and restaurant at the other. Cooking classes started at 10:00, ended around 14:00. So, where to start. The buildings, rooms, dining area, grounds, all beautiful. The pool was immaculate, and perfect for the hot afternoons. The spa was marvelous, ladies were so good, and the couples wine bath was something to experience. The room was very large, separate sitting room, large bathroom with shower. But, its all about the food. The classes were awesome. Hands on, everyone prepares their own portion, and there's so much leftover! Ingredients, recipes, techniques, tools, whatever you want to know, and unbelievable food too. Pici pasta, beef with a black olive crust, ragu, risotto, panna cotta. Too much info to remember, too much food to eat, but just a perfect experience. And the dinners at the restaurant, fantastic. We never left the resort, never had a need to. Thanks to all the amazing staff at Il Falconiere. Signoras Sarah, Jessica, and Santa. Signores Giani, Nicolo and Paolo. And to Anna Maria, Fabrazio, and Chef Silvia, thank you for all the personal care and love you put into everything at Il Falconiere, you feel it, and it is so very welcoming. We are already planning our return!
