Very well restored old monastery. Exceptional building. Lots of space inside. Very useful little kitchenette. Private outdoor space appreciated. We really enjoyed the swimming pool, especially after a long day of walking exploring the most beautiful village: Cortona.

The apartment exceeded what I was expecting, for the price this is a wonderful spot!, Valeria was super helpful through the whole stay. Apartment was huge and well equipped, the pool was very clean and a lovely spot to relax, 100% recommend.

Monastero San Silvestro is een prachtige locatie om te verblijven. Landelijk gelegen, bij voorbaat rustig dus, maar toch vlakbij Cortona. Ons appartement was zeer mooi ingericht en de service was optimaal. Het team stond de hele week klaar om ons te helpen om er een mooi verblijf van te maken. Met zwembad en BBQ-accomodatie. Ideaal voor ons familieverblijf.

Amata is the manager. She speaks very good English. She is professional, yet very welcoming and friendly. Amata made sure we were comfortable and had everything to make our stay perfect.
My husband and I spent two weeks in one of the lovely apartments. He came for work and I came to keep him company. The apartment, a 2 bedroom 1 bath, was roomy and comfortable. The AC and the heat both worked well.
All of the apartments have their own outdoor area for alfresco dining. The grounds are grassy and inviting with bbqs, and the pool area is gated with our own designated loungers.
The location was perfect for us! My husband had a car for his work nearby. There is ample onsite parking. A grocery store is less than a mile away. It’s a short drive into Cortona. We drove to Cortona most evenings to walk around, shop, etc.
We loved Cortona, and our stay at Monestero San Silvestro. We would definitely stay again! We even made some new friends!!

Stayed here with my son and girlfriend for 11 nights. Amazing place, beautiful, authentic, super friendly staff and a great relaxed atmosphere. Located in the countryside, but close to the supermarket and of course Cortona (only a 5 minute ride uphill). Also a good spot to visited the Lago Trasimeno, Val d'Orcia, Arezzo and so on. Highly recommended!!
