There is no tourist attraction around, you have to go to Quebec City for that (a 30 minute drive), but if you like a quiet place in nature, it is a perfect place. There is a mountain outdoor centre (Empire 47) right on the other side of the road of the hotel and there is Stoneham ski mountain nearby. The hotel has heated warm indoor and outdoor pools and spas, and an activity center on the premise with mini-golf, tennis, canoes, etc. There is only one restaurant around, the one in the hotel ( a fine restaurant), otherwise you have to go to Stoneham, and you are better to reserve your table (because when we went, it was full).

We were looking forward to our stay at Glass Hotel for a long time and been saving money for it. Our suite had a fire place that they say it does not provide any heat, but it did and it made stay more comfortable. Sleeping bags were warm enough for a nice night of sleep, HOWEVER anytime we fell asleep there was a loud door banging. Our suite, Suite 2 had a connecting room and the door in between the two that kept on waking us up all night long by banging. The staff should have thought about how to prevent this disturbance during windy days. I am very protective of my sleep and thus was very upset not being able to get my rest. The morning after staying at the Glass Hotel we heard that blizzard is coming in and we asked if we could stay at the hotel another night. The manager was helping the girl at the front desk and we been told that we can stay another night if we pay triple the advertised price ($318). In addition we were also told that they are completely booked and that is the ONLY room that was available. We looked on the internet and found out that cost for the same kind of our present accommodation was bit over $100. DISAPPOINTING!!!!!

View of the golf course is pleasant. Parking is ample and free. One con is that must have a car to move. Location is peaceful and property stands alone.$200 per room deposit is way too high. Stayed for a night as a quick getaway from the kids. The hotel site is easy to reach from downtown Quebec with and surrounded by nature and the old Wendake village. The rooms are well-appointed and several touches from the Huron-Wendat people are spread around the hotel and the rooms. The fireplace in the lobby gives off a warm vibe to the arrival. Overall all the staff was very friendly and the room (119) was very spacious, clean and quiet. We also had dinner at La Traite were we tried several local dishes with the Bison smoked steak being the highlight of the evening, along with several cocktails with a indigenous twist. We took advantage of the private tour of the museum and were amazed by the guide's knowledge and enthusiasm. We got to know so many things that aren't taught in history classes and also enjoyed the interactive canoe building exhibit. Highly recommended to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city, but mostly to surround yourself with the indigenous history.

The hotel is good, because it is a business trip, so I chose it near the place of business trip. It is said that it was built only in the summer of 19, and there is still a bit of smell inside. The one room with a king-size bed was ordered, about 1400/night including tax, which is too expensive. But the room is really big and comfortable. It is not easy to take a taxi nearby, suitable for car rental
