|1.71km from city center(+) Hotel Al Larin is a very good option to stay for a few nights in Cortina d'Ampezzo. It is not located in the city center, which might be a plus for some people and a minus for others. For us it was a plus, because we came to Veneto region to see the mountains and not for shopping. The hotel has a private parking, so it won't be an issue, if you come by car. Keep in mind that the check in time is between 2 and 8 p.m. It is better to come before 8 p.m., because there is no one at the reception after that till morning. Breakfast is very good. The hotel offers omelette, bacon, mini-sausages, ham, cheese, toasts, croissants with jam or chocolate, different cake every day, joghurt with muesli or corn flakes, fruits, buns, various jams, tea, coffee, juices. Our room 12 was on the second floor, very well equipped. An excellent restaurant El Zoco is just 300 meters away. If you like pizza, you can get 10% discount for Il Ponte pizzeria (try quattro formaggi!). Very nice and helpful personnel at the reception. (-) If you have disabilities, bear in mind that the hotel does not have a lift.

|0.57km from city centerI chose the hotel based ok it’s location to town and ski facilities since skiing was the reason I came to Cortina. It was PERFECT! Very welcoming every-time I returned back to the hotel. The breakfast had a broad selection of pastries including warm croissants, made to order scrambled eggs, plus typical other aspects of continental breakfasts and good cappuccinos, served 730-930. Rooms are all well Maintained, cleaned daily and in good condition. Yup pThe ski buses (to Tofana/socrates/Faloria) is literally at the end of the driveway and they have a ski room in the garage. If you bring a padlock, you can lock them but it seems pretty secure. Faloria ski resort is a quick walk by road or around up and over the pedestrian bridge. The bus station is also very close as I took the Cortina Express to/from VCE. They were super flexible with a late checkout since I had planned to ski and had a evening bus. So thrilled that I switched from Rosapetra to here for both the ease of the stay and value.

|0.49km from city center- [ ] A “vintage” hotel that made me make a beautiful duck in the past. All very comfortable and comfortable, not modern but practical and the service very nice and available. Unlike the many cold and impersonal anonymous hotels, this has remained true to itself, with good taste and harmonious: what is so rare in these times! Today, hotels are very high and very expensive or the average level is full of unscrupulous, anonymous and low-quality modernity.

|0.24km from city centerIt was our first time in Cortina to ski with friends and we chose this hotel based on location, price and other trip advisor recommendations. We weren’t disappointed - Comfortable rooms, Close to pedestrian zone, Close (50m) to ski bus pickup, Close to great restaurants, Friendly staff, Good breakfast. About all you want, need, and can expect from a smaller European hotel. Would definitely choose again if/when we return to Cortina. Only heads up would be the loud bar across the street if you like to sleep with the window open and you are on that side of the hotel. Minor observation in an otherwise great stay.

|0.7km from city centerEvery time I come here I notice something special, along with the other aspects of this hotel that I love. It might be that the hotel is now making some delicious bread, or that one of the guys at the Bar makes a gin and tonic to die for, or that the cable-car to Faloria is within easy walking distance and that there is probably a major world sports event taking place on our doorstep. Be it the World Skiing Championships in Winter or in Summer, the Ultra-Trail all night running race starting at 23.00. I am sure Grand Hotel Savoia is the best place to stay and soak up all that Cortina d'Ampezzo has to offer especially the excellent customer service and outstanding personnel.

|1.9km from city centerWe loved our stay at this oasis after a week hiking the Dolomites and staying in rifugios. It was the perfect place to relax and feel luxurious in this very well appointed hotel with a lovely spa, spa services and pool. Augusto was so helpful and friendly as were all of the staff. It’s a short walk to heart of the town but taxis were easy to get as well. And look at these tomatoes! I mean- really, only in Italy! Grazie Mille for a great stay.

|0.24km from city centerOld hotel, needs urgent reforms, the balcony of our room was full of mopho and infiltration (we didn't open the doors because it was disappointing), we traveled 12 days across northern Italy and this was the worst hotel we hosted (fortunately it was only one night), the location is good, this is a few meters from the main street but the structure and breakfast coffee left much to desire, mainly because this was the most expensive hotel of our trip (more than double the other hotels) Then they were still in the absurd way of levying 40,00 euros for the car, and in all other hotels we paid up to 10,00 euros and some were not levying.

|0.21km from city centerWe LOVED Hotel de Len! Chic decor (a mix of Scandinavian/Italian with local touches - impressive mix of colors and textures, magazine-worthy). Super-comfy beds and pillows. Well-equipped minimalist bathrooms, with soaking tub and separate shower, heated floors. The food was amazing - over-the-top delicious (and included) breakfasts and lovely snacks at cocktail hour. The concierge service was so helpful, especially when we had a reservation mix up with Pia Tofana who wanted to charge us $300 for cancelling within 72 hours! The hotel helped explain the mix-up and negotiate on our behalf. The spa was incredible - we didn't book a service, my husband and I just used the hot tub and sauna, but it was lovely and immaculate and again really great design. The service was top-notch, warm, quick, and friendly. For instance, I came down on our 3rd day and the waitress brought me my coffee order, just how I liked it, without being prompted, because she remembered from the past day. Amazing. The service felt personal and intimate, which is so hard to find in big hotel chains. Our breakfast waitress waived good-bye to us from the restaurant window when she spotted our car pulling away! Just wonderfully nice people running a very upscale, design-focused hotel. We hope to be back!

Cortina d'Ampezzo
|0.32km from city centerWe were a group of nine who just returned from a week of skiing in Cortina d'Ampezzo. We stayed in the Hotel Montana and it was terrific. It's a very well-run family hotel - very clean and comfortable, and the breakfasts were excellent. The location is fantastic - it's right next to the main church in the centre of Cortina. There was a balcony on each of our rooms and we could look out upon the beautiful church/bell tower with the mountains behind. We used the ski bus to get to and from the slopes - the bus stop was 50m from the hotel in the Piazza Roma (and it was the first bus stop for our route). The bus station was also within 200m - we had private transfers but you could easily use the Cortina Express/ATVO/Flixbus services from Venice/Marco Polo as the hotel is so close to the station. The Ski Pass office and our ski rental shop (Boarderline) were also next to the Bus Station. There were many reasonable restaurants in the centre of Cortina and there was a supermarket by the Olympic viaduct/bridge (about 5-10min walk). The value of the accommodation was terrific - it's a little oasis of good value amongst the decadence of Cortina. Within 100m radius of the hotel there are many high-end shops like Louis Vuitton, Prada, Dior, YSL, North Face, etc, etc. Adriano and family were very friendly and helpful. For example, one of the receptionists photocopied the ski bus timetable for me - a small gesture but very helpful. We were leaving early on our last day and they kindly opened the breakfast buffet early for our party (breakfast normally runs 7-9.30) - another lovely gesture. The rooms were quite basic but very comfortable - they were warm and hot water seemed plentiful. There was also a boot room in the ground floor for our ski boots, etc. Overall, we were very impressed by Hotel Montana Cortina and would happily book again! We couldn't have wanted for more in Cortina.

Cortina d'Ampezzo
|0.25km from city centerWe stayed here for four nights at the start of February. The hotel occupies the best position in Cortina - in the central square with the ski bus right outside (although the Faloria cable car is easily walkable). The hotel is hugely characterful, and the bar is obviously a very popular meeting place for residents and non-residents alike. Our superior room was very spacious , with a balcony and views onto the Main Street. Wide choice of food at breakfast. The concierge, Lorenzo, ably support by Jamie, was incredibly helpful throughout, whether picking up our lift passes, booking taxis or advising on best routes to the slopes. But there are some drawbacks: WiFi in rooms very patchy and needs improvement. Rooms are a bit dated, although to be fair this matches the overall feel of the hotel - but really need to have proper shower units (although bath “mixer” shower was surprisingly powerful). Actually being offered coffee at breakfast rather than having to chase down the waiting staff each morning would also have been good. So overall, really liked the hotel and would stay again, but felt that these fixes would make a big difference.

|0.71km from city centerWe stayed in the Radisson Residences apartments with a balcony view of Tofane. The 1 bedroom apartment had all facilities we required with minimal but adequate kitchenette. Excellent location just down from the main piazza which meant it was quieter. Only issue was that there is no air conditioning and the Tofane apartments face west so get all the summer sun making the apartment incredibly hot and airless. The duvets are too hot and I requested lightweight cotton blankets that the reception said they could not provide. Other than this, we had a very enjoyable stay and the staff were always courteous.

Cortina d'Ampezzo
|1.66km from city centerCortina is sort of the heart of the Dolomites (site of the '56 winter Olympics and the upcoming 2026 winter olympics) thus Hotel des Alpes is a beautiful little town and ideal location for exploring these breathtaking mountains and lakes. It is located on the main road north of the town with parking on one side and the hotel on the other. The staff was helpful with finalizing plans for where to visit nearby with realistic with the time available. There is a nice sitting area just off the lobby with bar service, a pleasant dining area that is used for dinner and breakfast bar, and beautiful views from the room and restaurant. Would definitely return if we get the chance to spend more time in the Dolomites.

Cortina d'Ampezzo
|0.22km from city centerVery good location and decent breakfast… BUT bedroom was: 1. Facing the front of the hotel and there is a loud bar underneath with music and literally loads of people directly outside the bedrooms drinking and socialising and often drunk and shouting in the street until 2.30pm making sleep before that impossible. 2 . Dirty - with previous guest’s underwear and clothes found under our our bed and mould around the bath. 3 . When we arrived there was a broken wall hairdryer on the floor of the bathroom not working . The manager stuck a new one on the wall which fell off at 4.00 am in the morning waking us up - we had just fallen asleep after the noise from the bar below had finally stopped. 4. Bedroom blinds were broken - manager said the previous guests had not complained and he could not do anything until the following day. 5. On two consecutive evenings there was no hot water. 6. The toilet did not flush properly. There is no proper lounge area and the hotel is really very run down and certainly front facing rooms should be avoided unless you are willing to sleep with earplugs.
