The Intercity is situated close to the main station and football museum in Dortmund. There are lots of bars and restaurants in close proximity. My room was fairly basic with bathroom with shower but no tub. The bed was comfortable and there was enough space for hanging and storing clothing. No tea & coffee making facilities were provided but there was a safe, a fridge and complimentary bottle of sparkling water. I did not have the breakfast on offer at €17.50 but did use the bar where the drinks were reasonably priced. I paid around £140 for two nights via hotels,com although that did include a discounted night.

Very central to everything we needed. We took the breakfast option - variety of bread, hams. cheese and sausage. Scrambled and boiled eggs, fresh fruit, jams, yoghurt and cereals, juices and excellent coffee and other hot drinks. Glad we chose this option as there did not seem too many cafes offering breakfast nearby - only chains. The ladies who dealt with breakfast were lovely, really helpful and friendly. The only reason I've not given a 5 rating is that (for us) the bed was a little firm and the pillows were far too soft and on our last night (Saturday) the hotel must be near a nightclub as all we could hear was thumping music into the early hours (2am!) of the morning. Would just advise getting a room on the opposite side of the hotel.

I came here alone for business trips. The location is superb. It is opposite to the German Football Museum Dortmund and the Central Railway Station in Dortmund. It is very convenient for shopping and eating. The front desk is very good, the room facilities are also good, breakfast needs to pay more than ten euros, but it is worth it, relying on a good breakfast every day. Recommended.

I arrived a week before my reservation and asked for a change in reception. But on the booking website they indicated that in the hotel they could, If HAVE WANT, make a refund to me. I commented on it with the hotel being at the same reception, I cancelled and booked a new room, but they did not make any refund or discount, the young woman who attended me lacked empathy and sympathy. I paid what it was booking directly at reception, more expensive than on the web, and I will not return to this hotel nor recommend it to my friends and colleagues. The room was very comfortable and was very comfortable.

This was a great little hotel in the centre of Dortmund. Convenient, clean, quiet, and most importantly, with a great cafe. The cafe opened early (6:30 Monday - Saturday, I think 8 on Sundays), which was very convenient for that first tea/coffee of the day. They did a good range of drinks, cakes, sandwiches as well as a full continental for €10. I can highly recommend their muesli, which I believe is made in house. The staff were all very accommodating and spoke good English.

Wir hatten das prizeotel in Dortmund zum CL Viertelfinale zwischen dem BVB und Atlético Madrid gebucht. Zum Glück noch rechtzeitig, bevor die Preise bei allen Dortmunder Hotels in astronomische Höhen schossen. Das prizeotel Niveau ”gut und günstig” kannten wir schon aus anderen Städten. Die Zimmer sind schlicht aber völlig ausreichend eingerichtet. Es gibt eine Roof Top Bar, in der wir uns auf das Spiel eingestimmt haben. Am Morgen danach gab es dort auch ein akzeptables Frühstück.

The hotel is just across the road from the pedestrianised town centre so really well located. Parking was free if you parked in the surface car park. The reception lobby was very ornate and hotel room was large. Only issue was a lack of aircon. As it was so hot the reception staff were happy to give large electric fans to anyone who asked for one to plug in their bedrooms.

Hello! There are a night here and have booked 2 double rooms. The location is quite quiet and about 10min. away with the car of StarlightExpress. To the rooms ...ie are well equipped and there is a coffee machine. The rooms are clean and partly renovated. But three stars are too much ....I think. The bathrooms are “Oldcool” and the amatöörs of quite awful waste. Very difficult. Also, from the quoted paytv wasn't really what to see. A chaos of television programs. The reception was very friendly and helpful. The bar is mega and offers everything you need to drink! 😁 Summary: for one two nights in order but under 3 stars I understand something else. Nevertheless, it is not bad but it is expandable!

I was a guest at the German Comic Con Limited Edition event at Westfallenhalle. The hotel is perfectly placed for the Centre as it is just a short walk away. I stayed in room 411 for two nights The room overlooks a busy road so you get the noise of traffic only when you open the window. The room was super clean and comfortable The air conditioning which was much needed during the heatwave was very effective - I had to turn it off! The bathroom is well lit with a walk in shower. We had recently booked a room at the Hotel Dortmund; the location is perfect for a visit (also walking) to the Dortmunder Stadium or the city centre. The hotel is located in the very quiet area of the technology center and far from noisy transit routes. The nights were very pleasant and relaxing. Because we are in the zoliakie area, our choice fell on this hotel – because we had a very nice e-mail traffic with competent contacts who knew well about this topic and the possibility of a gluten-free stay promised. This was then allowed us at our visit without problems. Breakfast buffet is generally gluten-free except for a few exceptions and the breads/breads are backed separately. The hotel is a very good location for the hotel.

Good front desk service, poor breakfast service! I have been to Germany on business several times, and I have never seen such a waiter. I would video with my family in the morning. I used headphones and talked for a while. A male waiter nodded my arm and called me quiet! Because I am alone and abroad, I don't want to have any security risks. I endured it and hung up the video. By the way, the restaurant is not very big. The top few foreigners diagonally across from me are also talking, and I can hear them. Two people at the table next to me are also talking. My voice is about the same height as theirs. I am a Chinese, so call me quiet? Really the first time I met! Stayed for two nights, I didn't eat breakfast here the next day, really a very poor waiter. Of course most of the foreigners I met are still very friendly!

Nice hotel in a nice location on the outskirts of Schwerte. The reception is well laid out, staff are attentive and rooms are clean and functional. My only grip is that, there is no blinds in the bathroom so when the sun comes up, it wakes you up irrespective of whether the curtains are closed or not. There is a great pub a hundred metre down the road, and has some fantastic meals available.

Overall the hotel was very bad. On booking it said parking available, when the receptionist asked if they had a parking space, we got the answer - yes, with 8 € more per day -. So we left the car in a parking garage in the immediate vicinity for €14 a day. The room had no air conditioning and was therefore very hot, we had to sleep with the windows open. Next to the hotel was a bar where a lot of people spoke and celebrated very loudly. Luckily we only stayed one night and were very tired from the trip and were able to fall asleep pretty quickly. The only plus was that this hotel was a few steps from the center. The day after we wanted to go for breakfast (since it was included in the price), this was on the 2nd floor where we went in and wanted to be served but nobody came, so we left this breakfast room again and thus the hotel.

Eine kleines Hotel mit besonderen Charme. Die Zimmer sind teils neu renoviert. Das Personal und die Besitzerin sind sehr charmant und zuvorkommend. The hotel is very good, the first time I booked the suite is good, the second time because I did not book a business room, I found that the business room orientation is the front of the hotel, the standard room orientation is close to the high speed on the back of the hotel, but the sound insulation is not too noisy, hotel parking If the indoors are 20 euros, the open-air gate is 10 euros, and there is a parking lot next to the hotel's open-air parking lot. It is 7 euros, but this parking seems to be unattended. The first afternoon to go there, I did not see the management staff. A cabin was closed. After checking out the next morning, I saw that someone was waiting to collect the money. It felt like it was cheap but not safe.

Very narrow entrance to the parking lot. Door to sliding and quiet. Despite all understanding for Corona, it is a bad service that you must take the breakfast down yourself as guest and then still quite unfriendly instructed to bring the used box down again. You can also save your breakfast order ticket, as it makes the impression that it is arbitrarily set together. The disadvantage is also that you cannot open a window and the balcony door to the persistent balcony cannot be placed on kipp. In general, the rooms also appear much older than on the photos, the bed covers were plenty. This hotel has certainly not earned 3 stars for us.

Booked this place as it was cheap and handy for the autobahns, not expecting very much in terms of luxury given the price. And we weren't disappointed, the room really could do with a refurb, nothing dirty or uncomfortable, but everything in it looking very tired. That said, the old style bathroom was better in design than a lot of new ones, and it isn't of the plastic one piece you sometimes find in Ibis. However, we loved it here. All the staff were great, nothing was a hassle either with the stay or finding the place, and there is a cool backdrop of BVB's stadium you can get a pic of. Would definitely return, the place is tired, but it's not expensive, it's easy to get to and the staff are great

This hotel charged me 600 euro a night. There must have been something on in Dortmund for anyone to pay this as it’s more like a backpackers than a hotel. I arrived at 11pm. My stay was prepaid in full by my corporate travel agent. They said they had no rooms and that I would have to wait and they would take me to another property somewhere in the city. I was very upset and refused to move and finally they “found” a room. At this point it was almost midnight. I asked could I order a beer to take to my room. The answer was no but I could go to another hotel nearby where there was a bar. 600 euros a night. I then got to my room which was fine and clean if basic. There were only European sockets. I have sleep apnea and need a cpap device and an adapter for a Uk plug. Every Marriot I have ever been to has the universal plugs (at least one or two in each room). This place has none. Just basic German sockets. I called down and said do you have an adapter I will even buy one of you sell them. I will even pay for someone to go and get one. I was told, no we don’t and we don’t have a conceirge or anyone like that and we won’t help. Even if it means you die. True Marriot hospitality. So I guess anyone without their own adapter is out of luck at this “hotel”. I then tried the internet. Out of luck there too, internet shows up but doesn’t connect or work. I called the front desk. It just rings out. Over and over. No one answers or bothers. This is the single worst experience I have ever had at a hotel at the price point or at any Marriot worldwide, and I have stayed in many of them over many years. This place should lose its accreditation and the management ought to be replaced. Do not stay here unless you get a room for 50 euro a night, maybe 75, which is all it’s worth it’s basically a nice backpackers just off a freeway. If Marriot sees this can someone please contact me as this hotel caused me health issues and was a disgrace to your brand.

We chose this hotel as a low budget hotel close to the center. We were not disappointed. Small hotel, small but clean rooms. The reception, apart from the only man, speaks Polish, so you will get along even without the language. Small car park for approx. 10 cars, but if there are no spaces opposite, huge multi-storey car park for EUR 12 per day. Close to the center. Breakfast very modest without hot dishes, but you can eat. Recommend for people for a 1-2 day trip to explore Dortmund or for people coming to matches. Attention. In every hotel in Germany you will need to have the vaccination QR code or PCR test result to check in.

It’s really a shame… this hotel is mostly totally fine, and I love that it was so convenient to the train station. But the beds are AWFUL. I mean *bad*. It’s like sleeping on top of a table… so hard, I’d wake up with numb fingers, hands, and feet. The pillows filled with crumbly material deflate immediately as well, making it just impossible to get a good night of sleep. It’s a shame, really!
