Hotel is located in the middle of everything. Bern Train Station is a 10 - 15 minutes walk or take the street car, 2 stops. Cab ride is actually longer, because they have to circle the area to get to the hotel. The staff is awesome, friendly and more than willing to provide great advice for the area. Also they give us a transportation pass that allows us to take all the transportation in the area (bus, street cars, tram, train, etc). Real nice. Clock tower is five minutes away, shopping area is all over the place, including several supermarkets. However, do your shopping early, they all closed by 6:30 except on Thursdays by 9:00. All the street cars seems to run around the area, traveling to site seeing locations is a breeze. Restaurants are all over, but they all closed by 10:00 pm, eat early. Rooms are small but comfortable. There is NO air conditioner in the room. I would advise not to stay here when it is hot. If you open the window, you can hear all the conversation from the street, and it is crowded till late at night. A set of ear plugs are provided for you on your pillow. Also a problem is the construction, they started around 6:30 am. And I’m talking about major construction noise. The breakfast is small but nice. Good coffee and friendly staff. Hotel has its problem with noise and no AC, but a nice place. Probably will come back in the future.

High quality hotel with nice breakfast and a beautiful scenery/view of the river Aare and the city, which can also be seen from the rooms of the hotel (have to ask hotel for rooms with a view just to be safe). Overall, the hotel is of high quality, both in terms of its rooms and views.

Walking distance from the train station, dragging a large suitcase is no problem, it is flat, not stone brick. The hotel was renovated, a bit messy, but the interior of the room was fine. The shower head is very good, the only problem is that my Soap doesn't work. The breakfast at the Swiss restaurant is always reliable, the same restaurant is good at night, and there is a live band in the evening. The hotel is in the middle of the old town, one minute is the clock tower, two minutes to the Einstein house, three minutes to the cathedral, surrounded by shopping corridors.

It's actually a hostel suitable for children 【surroundings】 I was deceived by the propaganda picture, thinking that there was a large French window facing the lake, in fact, as shown in the picture...It is estimated that only the corner room is like that. The interior decoration is very minimalist and industrial style. I stayed in November, the temperature is relatively comfortable, and the room is quite warm at night. Divided into two buildings, the independent white building is full of double rooms, facing the river; the front desk of the main building is all multi-person rooms, which is quite lively. It is close to the river and the environment is good. Go straight to the west for two minutes to reach the cable car station. You must take this when you come down from the railway station. It is convenient to drag your luggage. The hostel will give you a full-day public transportation ticket, you can take the cable car, if you have a swiss travel pass, you can take it anywhere. One minute up by the cable car is the Federal Palace Parliament Building, which has a very good view; a few steps ahead is the coop supermarket, which is very convenient. [Suitable for bringing a baby] There is a large open space at the door for the children to run happily, as well as a large chess and table tennis table. A family of five or six has been playing here with a baby. There are baby dining chairs in the restaurant, and there are two types, baby type and kid type. There is also a lounge area on the second floor with some Lego toys and drawing boards. 【food】 Lunch and dinner are a set menu of 16.9 Swiss francs, and the amount does not seem to be much. Breakfast is a common continental breakfast: bread, milk, cheese, sausage, vegetables only cucumbers and tomatoes, and hot milk to drink. This is the only one that has no eggs during the journey these days.

Good location in the centre of the city close to bus/tram stops. Would be close to the railway station but we didn't find the right exit so had a walk of several hundred metres. Going back is ~200m from the underground shopping centre linked to the station, so much easier. Good room with good lighting, but bathroom had a non-functioning basin plug. There was only one usable power point in the room (the shaver socket in the bathroom) all others would not take our international 2-pin adapters as they had a unique Swiss hexagonal surround to the socket. Free tea and coffee in reception was appreciated and the breakfast was quite good. We got a free city travel pass which was very useful.

Hotel location is very good, the train station walked for four or five minutes, temporary main street, it is very convenient to go to the church to go to the old street. The hotel facilities are very new and the rooms are equipped with capsule coffee and a variety of teas. The family room has three beds and a lot of space. There is a coop next to it, and it is convenient to buy things. There is a balcony to go out and watch the scenery.

The hotel is opposite at the train station. The left turn is the main commercial street. In fact, Bern's attractions, like the clock tower, the cathedral, and the bear park, are almost in the vicinity of the main street. It takes an hour to walk from start to finish. You can also take the bus with the bus card sent by the hotel. The entrance to the hotel, the lobby and the room were cramped, but after all, the five-star facilities were great, especially the service. At the time of check-in, the front desk lady took the map and explained to us how to play, very loving. There are many supermarkets and deli shops on the commercial street, you can buy some room to go back to dinner.

Advantages: very close to the train station, you can see the hotel out of the train station door, there is a kettle, there is a wireless network, you can borrow a conversion plug, but you can only transfer to the German standard, other equipment and facilities are average, the overall clean European hotels do not have toothpaste and toothbrushes, so bring your own.

I am a fan of the Moxy concept, especially for short stays during a business trip. This hotel is very easy to reach by train, bus, and streetcar. The train station is literally within walking distance. So with one stop, you are at the central station from where you are directly in the center. Upon arrival, an enthusiastic lady with Dutch roots kindly received me and told me everything I needed to know for my stay. My room was neat, with a spotless bathroom, a good shower, and a very comfortable bed. Breakfast in the morning is not very extensive but well taken care of with fresh products. I only missed a hard-boiled egg but no hard feelings. Everything you need to start the day is there. So if you are looking for a good place to stay, I can recommend this Moxy.

Taking the hotel at face value and considering the price we paid (I think quite a good deal from hotels.com) we were really pleased with our stay. La Pergola isn’t in the middle of the city centre, but it’s quite close and well connected by public transport (which they give you a free pass for)! We parked our car there and got around on busses. The man at reception kindly didn’t charge us for parking as there was almost no demand for it that night. The service staff in general were really nice. The hallways and common spaces are a bit bleak, but functional - it’s clear they’ve saved money here. The sound isolation isn’t the best either. But the room itself is actually great! Big enough for suitcases and stuff to be strewn around because of a clever use fo space. Proper outdoor blinds for a good night’s sleep on the comfy king size bed. Body wash available, nothing fancy but does the job. Honestly, for what we expected, it surpassed, so we were happy with our stay. Is it the best hotel in the world, no. Do you get what you pay for in expensive but beautiful Bern, yes. Good for those on budget!

Stunning innovative hotel concept. I’m simply blown away, never seen something like this! Everything is done through your phone and it works amazing. (Booking, checkin, reception services, music etc. Interior design with much love and cool details, we could even play Mario Cart on NES in the backyard. Studio is as well amazing flexible, main block is moveable so you have either enough space for you bed or minimize it to use kitchen etc. Host Macha and Thalia are locals and know their stuff. Outstanding experience. Visit rooftop terrace for stunning views over the skyline of Bern. And if it’s rainy you can play around with the complimentary crossbow in your room. Another cute detail (you find lots of them) will come again.

Take the tram for ten minutes to the city, it is a fast hotel like home. However, it is OK to go out at the tram stop. The bath room and the toilet are separate. There is no place to put clothes in the bath, so you have to take off your clothes to get in. Value for money ok.

The parking is free. You can directly go to the hotel lobby by elevator. The room is super clean. It is easy to find the bathroom light switch. It turned out to be under the washstand. The room is relatively spacious in Switzerland, but the entrance is a bit tight. Breakfast is particularly good, there are international and Japanese styles to choose from. Prices are not too high in Switzerland. More cost-effective.

I had a very pleasent stay at Hotel Marthahaus. The (rather small) room was lovely, spotlessly clean, had a clean and fresh look but still felt cosy. The mattress was excellent and there was ample space in the wardrobe. My room had a nice little balcony towards a nice green courtyard (which apart from the hotel is surrounded by residential bulidings). The hotel is also very conveniently located in a nice quiet neighbourhood a mere two busstops (or a ten to fifteen-minute walk) to/from the train station and city centre and old town. The only thing that wasn't ideal is that the otherwise strong wifi cut out every now and then (apparently it depends on which room you have), but it usually came back on after a few seconds.

An amazing hotel just next to the main highway. Anyone who wants to explore Switzerland by road then this the place to be. All the major tourist attraction are within 1-1.5 hr drive. We explored major tourist attraction by having our base in this hotel. This hotel is on the outskirts of the Bern City center. Next to the hotel is the Westside mall which has lot of options for food and shopping. But the biggest point for this hotel is the free entry to the huge water park. Its a very big water-park with slides, sauna, steam bath, heated pools, kids pool. It has more than 4 pools for swimming. One can easily spend close to 3 hours there. Beside the hotel is the tram station from where anyone can take the tram to bern city center. It takes roughly around 25mins to reach the Bern city center The hotel also have its own bar and restaurant with some good food options. The staff was very helpful in guiding and helping us in planning our road trips.

Switzerland is a country with high prices and high consumption. Generally speaking, the price is OK. The western breakfast is simple and easy to match. The old-fashioned hotel with good rules and regulations, the front desk service is warm and thoughtful, and the bus card is sent. The level of hotel facilities in Switzerland can also reflect the living standards of the people in the whole country. Europe is also the country with the highest standard of living. Even for the Youth Hostel, the facilities are unambiguous.
