After our car broke down, the insurance managed our accommodation, and thus we ended up here in this hotel. rooms were totally clean, and the toilet, and shower were also clean. room had enough towels and everything we need. tv had normal tv channels. I think it wasn't connected to the internet, so, no youtube or any other internet based entertainment. some restaurants were very close to the place , but the main tourist attractions were too far to go on foot. You need a car/taxi/uber. Very close to the airport though.

I didn't hold out much hope for a hotel off the highway, in an industrial sector, across the street from the Avion Mall and Ikea, but I was pleasantly surprised. The service was great, the rooms were clean, large and comfortable, with all the amenities. The wifi was excellent. The breakfast was better than expected. And all for less than 70 Euros! And there is an adequate bar and restaurant on site. The hotel even produces its own honey on the roof, which can be purchased at the reception desk! The only negative was the television, which took maintenance to turn on, and which ultimately only had 1 English channel (BBC news).

Fantastic, clean hotel for any stay in Bratislava. Rooms come equipped with high-speed internet and the WiFi is fantastic. TVs in the rooms have Netflix etc built in which was a great alternative to the local stations and the limited number of English channels. The rooms were cleaned spotlessly each day. The hotel is a short, 20 minute walk, to/from the Old Town/Eurovea shopping centre down a relatively straight road past the on-going modern high-rise developments. The hotel is also only a 5 minute walk from the main bus station for Bratislava. If walking isn't an option, the Number 50 bus stops outside the hotel which goes into the town and seemed to be relatively frequent, however we never used this whilst we were here. It also goes across the Danube to the Aupark shopping mall which is also worth a visit. The only issue we had was that we couldn't seem to work the air-conditioning as the room was roasting with the sun shining through the windows - no matter what we done, it never seemed to go to a cooler temperature. Also, the shower screens in the bathroom would swing meaning water would go all over the bathroom, we used the shower-caps provided and wedged them between the bath and the glass screen to solve this. The free bottle of water provided in the room daily was also sparkling which was a shame. Would not hesitate to stay here again if in Bratislava and would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the city.

We arrived at Doubletree by Hilton Hotel Bratislava via Austria. We unloaded our bags and wheeled them into the lobby. Check-in was quick and efficient. The front office staff were friendly. They also gave us each a paper bag with a large cookie; great to satiate our hungry tummies after our long journey. We managed to get into our rooms immediately; rather than wait till 3pm which is the normal check in time. After carding our way up in the lifts to our floor, we were finally in our room. We were in Bratislava for a fencing competition, and only the large rooms were available at the last minute. Our room was large and would have fit a family comfortably. There were two single beds, sharing a common side table. Individual reading lights were provided. There are plug points for both beds. The beds were comfortable. In front of the bed is the stand-alone table with a Flat screen TV. There aren't many English TV stations, but the few provided enough entertainment while in the room. We could also keep up with the news on cable TV stations. WiFi is quite fast and no problem receiving it in our room. We had a large couch which can convert into a sofa bed. Other rooms of similar size also had a single-seater easy chair, but ours did not. There is a study table on the far wall. Around this area against the opposite wall to the sofa, is a long cupboard where the fridge is housed and tea/coffee facility is placed. Behind the wall, and near the door to the room is a wardrobe with plenty of hangers, a digital safe and bedroom slippers. Our luggage fit onto the luggage rack beside the room door. The toilet has two sinks, shower, bathtub and a open-door toilet. There are limited amenities available, and these include shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, moisturizer. The shower was pretty hot and provided a nice shower a long journey. Breakfast was included in our room, or can be paid if consumed daily. There's a hot eggs station, plus plenty of other breakfast items in food warmers. Fruits, cold cuts and cheeses, bread, smoked salmon and sardines are also available. Please be careful of your belongings when patronizing the restaurants. While there, a thief walked into the breakfast area and walked out with a backpack with the owner's wallet, computer and passports. There is another restaurant on premises and this was opened in the afternoon to the evening. Beers, and drinks and snack is served and in the evening, dinner. Food here is pretty good and we enjoyed a pretty decent meal here. The gym is open 24 hours. It's pretty well outfitted. The pool has limited opening hours. The hotel is about a 10-15min cab ride to city center. There is a large shopping mall nearby with supermarket and food court. A good stay here and we were super close to the fencing competition venue. If we do come back to Bratislava for another comp at the same venue, this would be our hotel of choice.

I chose Hotel SET from AGODA because it offered promotion rate on the day I booked and location was also "excellent" or something but I didn't enjoy the location.  It is not located in city center. You have to take bus #39 to get to old town from hotel. Frequency is every 20 minutes and probably 5 (or so) bus stops ride.  The location of hotel is behind hockely studium. Also near Double Tree by Hilton hotel. If you take taxi, you can mention that to driver. My priority to choose hotel is location, so I should have checked the location more carefully.   When you look at building of hotel set, you might be a bit upset because it looks a bit old but inside of the hotel is maintained very well. ( Espcially room & dining area) I stayed in single room, which is spacey enough and very clean. I enjoyed it pretty much.  Breakfast is not included, which was the plan I chose. If you want to have breakfast at hotel, it is available for 10 euro. The buffet looks really nice. I think it is worth it. I visited Brastilava around new year and hocky studium was closed. There are some bar&cafes in the studium but all closed. Other than that,  there is nothing nearby. You might want to book the room with breakfast. There is a big super market if you walk 7-10 minutes, though. It is good to have nearby.    You can expect in the room - safe, stable wifi, patio, iron board, hair dryer.TV, towel, linen, AC. However, there is no electric kettle, hence you can't have coffee/tea even if you bring it with you.

But 3-star, yes. The hotel is new, set in an unatractive immediate surroundings. Very unimpressive and concealed entrance from a courtyard. Approaching on foot, one has to go all the way round to find drive in to the courtyard and parking lot from where there is entrance to the hotel. Spacious lobby looking more like a reception for congress centre with main purpose of office meeting rooms. Definitely lacking a touch of interior architect / designer. Room amenities, design definitely 3-star. Uninspiring design with furniture more like office with lot of dark faux wood panelling. Quirky aircondition controls, probably working satisfactory if you figure how to work it. Luckily I could open the window and get fresh air from there. I expect a coffee / tea and kettle in 4-star hotel. Instead I see a sign that this cost extra 5 EUR. I am missing a clock or anything that indicates the time. It is usually a small display on the TV set so that one knows the time in the night too. The room lacks a picture or colour design/decoration on the white walls. Two lamps, one on the table and one on the night stand have hidden switch on the back. Was looking for a wall switch since they are part of main lightning. Bathroom provides minimum of toiletries, not comparable to 4-star hotel. 2 towels per person, the larger one maybe 80x50 cm. The whole establishment lacks ambience touch of personal design. Located centrally in the busy town it is still exceptionally quiet in the night. Windows facing unpaved and unkept parking lot and looking over to the National Bank of Slovakia. Hotel seems spotless clean, good bedding, good night rest - but really has a feel of more of a Congress centre with accommodation on the floors above. Location of the hotel is perfect right in the centre of Bratislava. One advantage might be if you have a car. It says complimentary, which in other surrounding hotels would mean additional 15 - 30 EUR a day. And I would consider the parking safe.

We stayed here three nights in September 2019. The hotel is very good, it deserves all the 5 stars it has. The location is also very good, very near to the center (easy walk) and near the river. The room was nicely decorated. We expected something bigger for a hotel of this level, but for two it was manageable. We did not try the restaurant but it looked nice. Breakfast was good but, somehow, we expected more for a 5-star hotel. It was nice to have the minibar replenished every day. The hotel has a spa but you have to reserve it and pay for it. A useful thing was that they have umbrellas for you to use. The only wrinkle was that, according to Booking.com, the hotel had an airport shuttle, but they don't. What they do is just call a taxi for you and you pay 22 € for the ride.

Pension Bastion Apartments is located in a quiet street on the very periphery of the old town district of Bratislava. However, it is quite distant from the old town itself. Fortunately, there are tram and bus stops nearby on the square Račianske mýto. If coming by car, do not rely on Google maps to find final hundred meters of the route, traffic regulations do not allow left turn on Šancová street to Karpatská. It is possible to find parking place near the pension; we were able to park right opposite under the coverage of surveillance camera. The parking is free of charge. It is little confusing to enter the pension through restaurant door, because there is no separate reception area. The way to rooms on the first floor leads from the restaurant through the narrow corridor to rather steep external staircase. Not good for obese or people with disability. The past obstacle was unexpected step just inside, behind the door of the apartment. The apartment itself was tiny but cozy: lower floor contains wardrobe, coffee table and two chairs opposite a flat TV screen. There was strong box in the wardrobe and fridge with minibar. The bathroom with shower corner is adjacent. The shower lacked door or curtain so that the water had tendency to spill during showering. Soap, shampoo and abundant towels were provided. The sleeping area is upstairs in a garret and it is reachable by another, even steeper and narrower, staircase. There is a roof window in the room, not properly screened from early morning light. Except large comfortable double bed, the area contained a table and chair with tea and coffee making facility. Wi-fi signal was strong and reliable, free of charge. The breakfast was served in the restaurant table d'hôte, it was possible to choose from five different menus accompanied by a dessert of the day. Unlimited cold and hot drinks were available. The staff was pleasant, helpful and spoke good English.

We have stayed with my husband in the hotel for 3 nights. We were looking forward to these days because it was supposed to be our first holiday together after the wedding. Our experience with the reception at the front desk was very kindly, because we came earlier then the checkin time, but it was no problem for the staff there to give us a room. We have choose this hotel because we wanted to be near the city center, and we were really not disappointed. Everything was very near, so we see all the historical buildings and streets of the old town. Breakfast which is the hotel serving are very various, so I suppose there can't be problem for anybody to choose the right thing for him. The small issue we have with parking, since we have bigger car and therefore we can not park in the hotel garage because it is smaller, so lady at the reception sent us to the parking house which is located about one minute by walk from the hotel. Even you need to pay for it separately, they gave us during the checkout 50% discount on the price of the parking. All together I can say, that we have really enjoy the whole stay also because any kind of request over the phone was solved in a while.

This was a very nice room, right off the main drag, close to the old town section of Bratislava. It was a little disconcerting driving our car down the tram tracks to get to the gate that leads to the off-street courtyard but the digs were worth it. We had a sizable, 2-room, suite on the ground floor. A big bedroom, living room, small kitchen, and a fairly big bathroom. The bedroom had A/C, a welcome luxury in Slovakia. The living room had a small TV and a couch and desk. The price aid for what you got was impressive. The courtyard has a small cafe where you can have a late coffee or beer (don’t expect anything early in the morning). Breakfast will require a short walk to the nearby bakery (yum). There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance and a main tram stop is right across the street. We were able to leave the car in the courtyard during our morning of sightseeing and then retrieve if for our drive back to the Vienna airport. Definitely the nicest room during our trip. Recommended.

A renewed modern hotel with all conveniences, but this is not why I would choose this hotel. I do have a special place in my heart for Old Grand Dame hotels. But, I did have fantastic night sleeps, and I guess that is the most important, even facing the Danube and the window open (that says a lot). My smallest complaint has to do with the lack of a place to work in the room. The shelf under the TV is way to small, and there is no chair, so I sat on the provided table. The internet was spot on without any break in service. Shower was fine, but as in other places, water does get on the floor. The breakfast was outstanding with lots and lots of choices. I was especially fond of Lucy (gosh I hope I got it right), she was just so friendly and even remembered what I liked on my omlete on the second morning, impressive. Also, we had lots of papers to sign, and we were sitting at the high wood tables and the young lady was so nice and brought us water with lime....just a good gesture.

Stayed for 3 nights bed & breakfast with spouse. After emailing them as it was an anniversary, we got to the hotel and they upgraded us for free to a privilege room, on the 5th floor, with use of the privilege lounge. It was a lovely gesture and surprised us with a bottle of fizz & chocs. Couldn't have asked for more! All the staff were friendly and helpful too. Room was cleaned daily and complimentary toiletries, tea/coffee supplies replaced. The breakfast was superb with a great choice of cold meats, cereals, cooked breakfast choices. One little gripe was the hot food was not very hot. I am not sure why hotels cannot seem to get this quite right, although the hotel was having some work done to the kitchen I think. Providing a microwave may have been helpful. Location was 10-15 min walk to the Old Town or you could get the No 1 tram outside the hotel. It was also a few minutes walk to the train station. I would definitely stay here again as the customer service was amazing and it was a super location. Thank you Mercure team!

Just stayed here for 2 nights with a friend. The hotel is about 2 miles out from the centre of Bratislava. It’s a 5 euro taxi into the centre or there is a bus stop nearby. The staff at the reception were very friendly and helpful. Check in was easy and no hassle. We had room 202 on the top floor. The twin room was clean and modern. Everything you could need for a nice stay was there. Great shower facilities. Comfortable beds and plenty of towels. The room has a flat screen tv. The hotel provides breakfast for 8 euros if you want it. The hotel location is very quiet but close enough to the city centre. Great stay in Bratislava.

Stayed here for 7 nights. Hotel was really nice and the staff were pleasant. Parking outside and a 10 minute walk to the centre. Our room was a great size with separate toilet and a bathroom with a shower in the bath, separate bedroom, kitchen with fridge/freezer and lots of utensils, cooker, microwave, table & chairs and a living room area. Had a view of the centre. Breakfast was included not a very good selection but ok. On the morning of my husbands birthday the staff sang to him & he got a bottle of wine. Would stay here again as very central for all attractions. No restaurant or bar in hotel.
