Songkhla
|1km from Samila Beach
I spent one night here as part of my 2022 north-south road trip. At a walk in rate of 750 THB it is pretty average as budget hotels go. The negative reviews here are pretty accurate: the rooms are well-worn, dated and require maintenance and a thorough cleaning. On a positive note: the hot water, air-conditioning, refrigerator worked fine and there were some English Language channels on the television. The room had a water boiler so that was a plus. There is ample parking for those who self-drive. Good enough for a one night stay.

I stayed here as I had work in the area and I thought it was a great little hotel. Perfect location for me for work being close to the docks and Harbour and also close to plenty of little restaurants and bars so you don’t have to venture to far for anything you need. It is quite a new hotel so everything is nice and new and clean, the rooms are very spacious and comfortable and the bathroom/ toilet is a nice size with the option of a rain shower or bath which is nice after a days work. You also have the added bonus of Netflix in your room as well. The staff were really friendly and helpful and always greeted you with a big smile and hello when coming or going. As I was working early I didn’t get chance to try their breakfast but they made me a take away fried rice to take to work at silly o’clock in the morning which was really good of them and very nice too. Thanks for a lovely stay and I will definitely be back.

This hotel is new, and has clean facilities, but, as per other reviewers, the management and reception (particularly for non-thais) is horrific. I had the same problem as others when I asked for a second keycard. They refused unless I paid an exorbitant fee, in addition to the massive damage deposit they require, and the additional first keycard deposit they require. The staff stopped assisting me several times to assist thai guests, making every interaction 4 to 5 times longer than necessary. This felt discriminatory and rude. When I asked to speak with management about several issues, I was told they were either not there or that they were not available--staff refused to call them on the phone ir give me a phone number to call. I gave my mobile number and was never called. I was scheduled to stay for 10 nights, but left after one. This place sucks and there are better options around the corner. My advice, stay away! Additionally--room beds are rock hard, water in showers is not hot, and the glasses in the room are literally the size of a double shot glass. Ridiculous.

I have been to Songkhla many times. But still haven't had the opportunity to stay in the old town This time, let's lightly sleep in the old town. Choose to choose to find a place to sleep for a long time, meet The Roo Classic Homestay as a accommodation in the old house. The location is pretty good and very comfortable. 1 I saw from the picture when looking for accommodation on the internet that it was hit Go see the real thing The more pleasing than .. That is, if you are a person who likes antiques, eats bitter things, watch the girl tell her about, recommend staying at Theรู You will not be disappointed. Is that it is an old house at the entrance like a hole as the name of the hole On one side is the name of a coffee shop called Cafe de Roo. Cafe de Roo is that walking through the door, you will see a small garden. Decorated with old bikes Vintage shop sign There is a cool corner for taking pictures and sipping coffee, which is open from noon until 7pm. But if another entrance there will be a sign says The Roo Classic Hometel, that is the entrance to the accommodation, which is really. Can enter both ways Only when the cafe is closed Guests have to walk in and out on the other way. The Roo Classic Hometel has 6 rooms in total, divided into 4 en-suite bathrooms and 2 shared bathrooms on the ground floor, 2 upstairs, 3 rooms and 1 attic room which the attic and Triple rooms require a shared bathroom. Which is separated into 2 shower rooms and 2 toilets. The room we stayed in was called Mikapitk is a room for three people. There is a double bed and one single bed. Spacious room with a living set to watch TV. There is a wardrobe with a ceiling fan on the second floor. Of the front of the house Inquiring from Khun Oh One of the owners of The hole To the history of the house Along with the old that comes to decorate the accommodation Which Khun Oh told me that the real owner of the house is aunt And allow Khun Oh and his friends to come to use the house as a place to stay by asking for various old things Of the house to be exhibited and decorated for guests to see And want the house to live again I don't want to leave it closed By doing accommodation first As for the coffee shop, it is brought as an extra later, next to it, there is a traditional recipe called Go Hom Khao Pork Dang Restaurant Which is the same owner Is a friend team Who together made the hole Then open the restaurant with ancient recipe rice pork red as well until it is popular to be another delicious menu in Songkhla .. The Roo Classic Homestay has received excellent rating from one of the OTAs in a row since 2018.

My gentle longings for love, life and adventure were rekindled in this magical place. It is a place for soul searching and self re-discovery. The owner is full of humility and grace. I stayed at their most basic Standard Single and it was still a pretty nice room with a comfortable queen size bed in a nice contemporary design room. The hotel is clean and the staff is friendly although the outside of the hotel does look slightly dated. The location is good for Songkhla - probably a 5 minute drive from all the main attractions - Samila Beach, Tangkuan Hill or Old Town Songkhla. Breakfast is ok - not too many choices but does have good mix of Asian and Western Items. Food is tasty and after breakfast, the restaurant becomes an ala-carte outlet. Food is ok but slightly pricier than outside but you pay for convenience. Parking is at the back of the hotel and is secured so dont have to worry about curb side parking.

Big bed and big room at a reasonable rate with American breakfast for 2. Location is at a quiet and romantic island in the lake, Koh Yo. Scenery is beautiful at the boat restaurant. Watch the evening sunset and early morning sunrise. The only setback is the small water shower installed in every room. Overall is value for money.
