|10.21km from city centerTo be honest, I am delighted with this hotel not because it is close to the sea. And not because they give water every day, clean well and give beach towels. And because of the level of service. He is great! Everything you need will help you get. If you sit downstairs near the reception in the evening, they will bring you a mosquito coil, and you don’t need to ask for it. Rent a small car -80 ringgit per day. I wanted to go on an excursion - a tour of the islands on a jet ski. They couldn't buy it in the first place. But the girl from the reception agreed with someone and for 500 ringgit I got a tour for 4 hours, not 3, as they usually sell. We were leaving for 4 days on a kolipe. So the girl from the reception allowed to leave some things. In general, any request was always fulfilled. True, there was only one person who refused everything. Also a receptionist. When we stayed at the hotel, he worked at night. He is about 40 years old. Here it is better not to contact him - a harmful type. It is better to wait for the girls to work at the reception. I can't say anything bad about the rooms. If there were any bugs, they were quickly corrected. It is better to take rooms with a balcony overlooking the courtyard and on the second floor. Although I lived with a balcony on the road and did not hear any noise from the road. There is no safe in the room. I kept valuables in a suitcase under lock and key. Wifi catches well in the rooms, which are located near the reception.

|10.3km from city centerWe stayed here for 3 nights in April'2019. It's very near to Chenang beach, you can just walk. The rooms here are very basic and small with the bed taking the entire space. But if you are looking for something at a low price and want to be outside through out the day at the beach and just come back to sleep at night, you can go for it. The bike/scooter rental which is in-house will give you a cheaper deal than the ones in the main street.

|10.66km from city centerIt is like a gated & guarded community with 12 beautifully decorated villa and a swimming pool. The compound is well maintained and clean. The hotelier, Peter (& wife, Sue) with his more than 30 years in the hospitality industry is very hands on and goes out of his usual way to please the guests. When we had problem with the Astro reception, not only he replaced the decoder box and a new TV set (of 42”!), he even opened the villa next door as our “TV Room” which we can even sleep there so that we can catch our midnight movie. The meals/b’fast was generous and served twice, one in the evening with mini cereal/muesli boxes, fruit basket, yogurt, box drink & bread slices. In the morning another round of nasi lemak and 4 bottles of mineral water (not RO!) every day. Sue even presented us with her hand made cookies by the time we checked out after our 2 days stay. We had 1 of the best experience staying in such a nice place and would highly recommend to others.

|10.61km from city centerThe hotel is located at the end of Cenang Beach. Although it is not on the main road, it only takes 5 minutes to walk to the beach. It is very quiet. Most of the people staying in are foreigners. The hotels are townhouses with small tables and chairs outside. The hotel’s own swimming pool is very clean and suitable for children to play. Wake up in the morning, the child accidentally discovered the little squirrel on the coconut tree. He was very excited. The only drawback is that the hotel does not provide breakfast, and there is no shop nearby for breakfast. The hotel is within a 5-minute walk of the famous Zhuofeng Seafood, Zhonghua Tower, and Zhenlang Ice Cream. There is a big life supermarket next to the Zhonghua Tower, where you can buy bread and instant noodles. In short, we highly recommend this hotel, it is quiet and private, and there are few people in Cenang Beach at this end, the sunset is so beautiful!

|10.38km from city centerWhite Lodge Chalet is an underrrated gem smack in the middle of the popular beach area. We got a really good rate on an OTA, and were pleasantly surprised when we arrived of the great deal it turned out to be. Our room was fairly spacious and there is an inviting pool in the middle of the lovely compound. There is a hot and cold drinking water dispenser, and our room had a fridge, kettle, tv and coffee/tea. The location is another big draw. It’s in the middle of the key beach stretch, smacked between Cenang and Tenang beaches so both are within easy stroll. Within 5min stroll you are at the Aquarium and behind that, the start of Cenang beach, and we never found a need to drive. Plenty of good eateries and supermarkets are nearby as well that operate late into the night. There is a good roti canai store for breakfast a mere 2min’s walk away, and McDonald’s less than 5min away. The folk running the motel are also friendly and helpful. When we asked to add a bed, the attention was immediate and the staff even refused a tip! We also booked our island hopping tour through them and the prices were reasonable. They also service the room daily although they did not replenish our coffee/tea and water. There are a couple of things we found lacking however. One is that the wifi is pretty unreliable. Sometimes it cannot access certain websites, other times it’s disconnected to internet altogether. A tourist SIM card is really cheap in Malaysia however. Another is that the doors were not well aligned, so opening and closing takes some brute force and creates a fair bit of noise at night. We read some complain about the shower being above the toilet, which isn’t really the case (though they are near). The shower position never bothered us. The new hotel extension is already completed (so no more issues with construction noise and dust) although it’s not yet open. Overall there is really little reason not to like this place. We got a good bang for the buck, and everyone including the kids enjoyed the 3-day stay. Highly recommended for those who don’t want to burn a hole in their wallet.

The staff at the reception were excellent.I have been travelling a lot and I have been using Mercure often but I have never met such an amazing and professional customer service.The check in time was at 15:00 and the asked to wait in the lobby, they offered us a coffee and they managed to check us in at 11:00! Always with a great smile in their face.Ziela and Djarhul (apologies if I do not pronounce it correctly) and also the gentleman at the reception who brought our luggage in the room were so nice.Congatulations to Accor hotels (Mercure) for their excellent staff. The above employees made us feel very special and I would like to thank them For their support and help.Really 5 stars customer service

The front desk is very warm. There is no problem with Chinese communication throughout the whole process. It is a little farther from the pier in Gua Town (but this taxi is very convenient)
I like Ann, I can sleep beautifully at night.
The hotel also has a squirrel, several cats, all very close relatives.

|10.37km from city centerStayed here for one night for transit. When the taxi dropped us off, we weren't sure this is the building because it looked so old and seems to be under construction. The lobby was dark and musky, as were the corridors. From outside, it looks like an abandoned building. I didn't feel very safe in the building. The room was old and dated. The furnishing seems to be from the 90s. While the room was big and spacious, the aircon only cooled down half the room and the other half was felt warm and stuff. The bedsheet was stained and spotted and we found some hair as well. For some weird reason, the windows are tinted so even though we had a good view of the street below, it was still very dark in the room. There are definitely other better and newer hotels / rooms on Cenang beach.

There are many cats around the room. Be careful when you open the door and rush into the room. There is also an outdoor swimming pool to relax and play. It is not far from Cenang Beach. The TV in the room has no channels to watch, but it will help to put breakfast In the refrigerator, there are juice, bread, yogurt, milk and fruits, which are pretty good. Only 13 RM tax per night will be charged at the scene, which is unexpected!

|10.93km from city centerIn November 2022 my husband and I found this peaceful oasis while walking along the beach from Cenang. We're not usually resort people, but we loved the feel of this place. Our deluxe room near the saltwater pool had a beautiful view, was very comfortable and clean, and everything worked well. The grounds and pool were impeccably kept. Learned about their sustainable practices - from organic gardens and composing, to rainwater capture and water conservation. The restaurant offers good selection, and you are walking distance to all the restaurants in Cenang.
Equally impressive was the staff. So welcoming and friendly! Under careful supervision, a group of intern college students preparing to work in the hospitality sector provided excellent service - an important post-Covid epidemic training experience. When we had issues with our airline tickets, Caroline (a supervisor) came to our rescue by patiently helping with our communication needs. Thank you Caroline!! We'd definitely recommend this resort to any of our friends.

Since we are visiting many other places in Langkawi, so the price quite affordable for my family. Breakfast served basic food. Im Okay with it. We had our dinner at Beach Cove Cafe. The food are tasty and worthy. At night, they have fire show near the beachside. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Its just this hotel have no parking space provided. You have to find a parking that slightly far from the hotel.

Our five-point flight to Langkawi Airport, driving out after Zhenzhen Looking for an hour in South Beach, I didn't find it. I finally asked a lot of local Chinese. I called and checked the map. I finally found the hotel at nine o'clock in the evening. General environment, breakfast in general, come to Langkawi holiday travel, or forget it! Location is strategic, there is a mini mart nearby. 6 minutes to jetty point by car, it takes around 20 minutes if you walk to jetty point. Room is not too small, it is clean. You can hear some noise from outside but it doesn't disturb us. Two towels were provided. No hair dryer is provided. The only cons is the lamp is not bright although we switch on all lights. Other than this, overall is suitable if you are looking for a budget hotel. Bear in mind, Geopark Inn is in the Kuah, there is another Geopark hotel located in Oriental Village.

|9.98km from city centerLocation - You have to stop by about 600 meters from the main street to the dark road. It's a little more than 1 km to Chenan Beach.No supermarkets, restaurants around. Facilities - barefoot. It's stiff to use barefoot to the wet toilet. The shower feels like doing in the yard and sometimes frogs run around. The towels are stated as free and the amount is 5RM. The bed puts a mattress on the tree on the freight stand. The outlet does not enter 1 220 volts and the staff should touch it. Ambient - It seems to be pursuing a service and system similar to a European hostel, but the facilities are too outdated and messy.The location is not good.The staff should be educated more. Breakfast is self toast and jam. There was a program that seemed to be a music performance by the staff and several people in the public space in the evening, but it was a level of drinking and crowding. The singing, the staff and some people kept drinking. I put a beer in a plastic bag in a shared refrigerator, and I was drinking, and in a while someone took it out and ate half of it. When I told the drinkers, the drunk staff said they would buy it tomorrow. If they don't, one of them says they give it for money. And they bought beer because they didn't. No one knows, no mistakes, no one says sorry. It's like a place where people without manners stay. The price is cheap for one person, but if you are looking for a hostel alone or shining.There are enough good places at similar prices to the beach

I walked there twice in about 15- 20 minutes; it would cost about 10 RM by Grab taxi. Some rooms have a good view of the Maha tower and the bay --the tower lights up at night and is really beautiful. The bed is quite comfortable and the WIFI is very strong . The shower and hot water runs alright . The staff, Dan, was very helpful and helped me to complete my itinerary . I was travelling alone, but there were families there as well . It is budget friendly but the amenties exceeded my expectations. Of course it is not luxurious, but the rooms are clean. I enjoyed my stay.

- the new dinner buffet was a great new addition with the live BBQ station even though the protein selection was limited
- Countess suite was amazing with the jacuzzi bathroom and the viceroy seaview room was amazing also

- slightly inconsistent with the housekeeping, sometimes they would forget to vacuum
- slight mishap with the room service waiter entering when we requested a female attendent. They claimed the protocol was to enter and serve the food after 3 knocks but since we requested female that should not be the case
Beyond that the service and polish in food and rooms is what brings us back. Highly highly recommended.
