Hotel is relative clean. Stayed in a single room with a semi double bed. Size is decent but didn’t realised it was behind the lifts, could hear the lift moving through out the day. The shower head position is pretty bad. It’s not on an angle it’s pretty much like spraying directly into your body. It would be great if they could address this. It’s 15 mins walk from the metro station so not closed. Also there was a cockroach in the bathroom. Crawled out of the drain

I was very satisfied with this hotel. Its location near Kaohsiung's bustling Formosa Boulevard MRT station is excellent, with plenty of shops and businesses nearby, plus a large grocery store just across the street. The hotel's service truly felt five-star. While there isn't a grand lobby, the practical amenities, like the outdoor swimming pool, were fantastic. The breakfast was also great, and they even had ice cream!

Great location, able to take MRT (redline) directly from Kaohsiung airport to Kaohsiung Main Station , then just walk across the street, hotel is right there. Hotel room is reasonable size, nicely setup. Since it's close to MRT station, you can get to anywhere easily. Great food choices including street food is just within walking distance. We left Kaohsiung to Taipei by high speed train, it's also very easy to get to Zuo-ying Station from hotel. Just take TRA local train (station is same as the MRT station) to New Zuo-Ying Station and transfer to the high speed train. It was a bit confusing in the beginning but if you ask anyone at the station, they are always happy to answer you. People are extremely friendly

The location is simply excellent. It is super close to the Pier-2 Art Center, so you can just walk out and immediately start taking nice photos and enjoying the sea breeze. Getting around is also a breeze with the nearby public transport. The room condition was great—very clean, cozy, and provided a really good night's sleep. Honestly, we were very satisfied with everything here. Super highly recommended for tourists!

The room isn't big but it's very clean, and it's quiet despite being close to the night market. Transportation is convenient, only a 3-minute walk to the MRT station. The area around the hotel is lively at night with plenty of places to eat, and you'll see a lot of Western travelers. It's not far to the pier to catch a boat to Cijin, or to walk to Sizihwan, but it was just too hot!

We enjoyed our stay and were honoured to be invited by the hotel to celebrate the New Year Eve Party with a complimentary dinner at the Wok Restaurant on Level 2 and a count down and welcome 2026 party with free flow drinks at the Rooftop Bar. We watched the fireworks at the stroke of midnight from the Bar with great music, beautiful view and lovely guests! It was a fantastic end to 2025 and the memories will stay in us forever! Thank you Hotel Indigo Kaoshiung for the wonderful and memorable stay. Everything from the hotel staff to the room amenities were top notch! We will certainly recommend your hotel and will definitely stay here when we visit Kaoshiung again.

Room was very clean although you can tell it is an old establishment. The room is clean and the furniture is maintained at optimal conditions! At first our room smelled bad, but with a diffuser and dehumidifier, it improved over the next few days. My friend and I would prefer if the pillows were firmer, we requested for additional pillows which the hotel gladly acceded throughout our stay. The breakfast selection was impressive with a wide variety of selection! The subway station is about 7 min walk away. Surrounding areas offer a great variety of food day and night. Convenient stores such as 711 and family Mart are within 1-2 min walk away.

It’s a four star hotel that feels like some five star hotels do. It’s a bit pricey but what your get in return is excellent service (valets opening doors for you, everyone saying hello and asking if you need anything), cosy rooms (ours had a bathtub and Japanese toilet), free snacks, coffee and beer at the lounge, alright cleanliness (mostly fine but we found unwanted items of unknown origin and purpose in the room) and even free self-service laundry.

The spacious and clean room lived up to the photos, the bed was comfortable and the location is good. A hanger for the large towels would be handy. The only improvement needed is the pin on the map. Google Maps is incorrect; use the map from Trip.com. The reception is on a higher level so the photos don’t help much. You’ll need to find the building first. I suggest informing your guests about the location and sharing instructions. We searched for the reception photos at street level but they weren’t there, of course :) Overall, I highly recommend this place!

We got a connecting room that catered to our needs. The hotel is in a strategic location and is near an MRT station. The downside of this hotel is that the air-conditioning temperature is preset and cannot be adjusted. We asked the receptionist to lower it, but the issue was not resolved in one of the rooms and it still felt warm. We went back to the receptionist the next day to request another adjustment. They informed us that the controller was faulty and provided us with a fan instead. At least they made an effort to help. Despite this hiccup, we would still recommend this hotel.

The location is great, right in front of the main Kaohsiung Station. The staff are very friendly and hospitable. Also there's a Ubike parking right next. The room is spacious. That's the upsides. The downsides are many and mostly have to go with the hotel age and the state of repair. It seems the management has given up, or is trying to squeeze the living life out of the place. The interior is decrepit, worn, moldy in places, and hasn't been properly renovated in years. Many things are broken or do not work properly. The beds are very hard. The window noise insulation no longer works properly, there's lots of traffic noise, despite the double glazing. The appliances are very old. I paid about 1500 per night. It's a bit much for such a place.

The combined toilet and shower was a bit inconvenient, but for this area, I think it's a reasonably priced place to stay. It was relatively clean, but the changing room for the public bath had quite a bit of hair accumulated. Compared to Japanese bath facilities, it might feel a bit lacking (no mirrors, no conditioner, high step to enter the bath), but I was grateful to have a public bath. Since there were no mirrors, I tried to look at my reflection in a magic mirror and almost tripped over a step. There are steps in odd places, and the bath entrance is also high; if you trip and hit it, it would hurt. You need to change into slippers when you exit the elevator. The stairs seem to be for staff only. It might be better not to put things on the stairs. Isn't that regulated by fire safety laws?

1. The hotel boasts an excellent location, just a 5-minute walk from Kaohsiung Main Station. It's also a 5-minute walk to Exit 10 of Formosa Boulevard Station, though this exit doesn't have an elevator, so it's not recommended if you have large luggage. 2. The hotel provides a variety of snacks and drinks, all available for free. 3. I originally booked a queen room, but the hotel upgraded me to a room with two queen beds free of charge, which I appreciate. 4. The self-service laundry room is on the 3rd floor and requires a 10 NTD coin. 5. I arrived at the hotel at 1 PM on a rainy afternoon and was informed that check-in was at 3 PM. Oh well, I left my luggage and headed out with an umbrella to find something to eat. 6. The bathroom's wet and dry separation design is excellent. However, the shower door isn't sealed, so water tends to leak out.

Never been to this area. Went only for the E-da theme park, which was honestly speaking quite small. Not spectacular. 1. Ordered hotel ahead. So, didn’t have the chance to check out the environment. After arriving, we found out that the Royal E-da hotel had a lot more amenities, I.e. pool, jacuzzi, arcade room etc. Back to this skylark hotel. 1. Room was alright, staff were very helpful, was upgraded to the three bed instead of the 2 bed. 2. Cleanliness was alright, didn’t like the 3in1 coffee though. 3. Gym was really big with very limited equipment, or broken equipment which opens at 8am, which wasn’t pleasing for those who have a long day ahead and exercise in the early hours. 4. Breakfast area was really big, vast food selection, but the food was a bit substandard. 5. Went during ***** new year, so there was a lion dance, which was alright. Don’t really plan on coming back to this area, but would definitely recommend the royal e-da, though the rate is 20% more

The room was clean and tidy, and the hotel is very close to Cianjin Metro Station, not far from Liuhe Tourist Night Market either. The staff were polite, but they lacked empathy towards guests, which is a shame as it really takes away from the warm hospitality Southern Taiwan is known for. A special thanks to the gentleman with glasses who helped us switch to a king-sized bed – he's the only one truly deserving of praise! 👍 Both the washing machine and dryer are coin-operated; you can get tokens at the front desk, where they also sell laundry powder. It's best to bring your own travel-sized detergent and toiletries as drinking water isn't provided. There were quite a few tour groups, mostly from Europe and America.

I asked about a late checkout, and they told me I’d have to pay MORE than my original room rate just to stay 4 hrs longer… like what?? 😅 My flight was in the evening, so I only asked until 1 PM and was totally willing to pay a reasonable extra fee. But the price they quoted was way too wild, so I just said nvm. Not sure if it’s bc I’m a foreigner or just their hotel policy, but FYI for anyone planning to stay here. Basic amenities like a toothbrush and toothpaste weren’t provided unless you asked, which was kinda a hassle tbh. Taxis are pretty easy to get, but the hotel is a bit far from the main areas, so transportation isn’t super convenient and costs can add up. Most of the staff don’t really speak English, so you’ll prob need a translator app. As for friendliness… hmm idk lol. It’s also not very easy to get to a nearby convenience store. Price-wise it’s ok for what it is, but I’d have to think twice about staying here again.

This was my third stay at this hotel since its grand opening. I visit Kaohsiung about every six months, and overall the experience has been consistently pleasant. The facilities are well designed and maintained , and the staff are friendly and professional . There was one issue during this stay—the shower drainage was clogged, so I had to use the bathtub instead. This is something that ideally shouldn’t happen at all, but the hotel’s response was okay. They came to fix it next morning as it was late. The soundproofing and AC are excellent. I especially enjoyed the hot spring and the gym, both of which are well equipped and relaxing. I didn’t include the buffet breakfast this time, as I preferred grabbing local drinks, buns, and snacks from the 7‑Eleven or FamilyMart just across the street as well as leaving room for lunch later. The desserts at the lobby café were delightful, and the Japanese restaurant was absolutely divine. It’s just a pity that I didn’t know the omakase needs to be pre-booked. The restaurant doesn’t reserve seats for hotel guests or ask about this in advance, which was a bit disappointing. The set menu was very nice. Overall, it’s still a hotel I enjoy staying.

I enjoy the hotel overall, however there is an odd smell when I stepped right into the lobby and the smell remained constantly during my entire stay. Luckily the room smells fresh. I like the hotel and highly recommend to others and will come back if I visit KH again.

Stayed at Z Zhongshan Kaohsiung recently and had a very good experience overall. The hotel location is very convenient, just a short walking distance to the train station and easy to travel around Kaohsiung. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. I especially liked the bathroom design with separate dry and wet areas. The bathtub was very clean as well, which made it nice for a relaxing soak after a long day outside. The shower gel and shampoo provided were good quality and comfortable to use. The bed was soft and comfortable, allowing for a good rest during the stay. One of the highlights was definitely the breakfast buffet. There was a wide variety of selections available, and the menu changed every day, so it did not feel repetitive even after staying for a few days. Had a great stay at this hotel! The hotel was clean, staff were very friendly and accommodating, and the location was excellent — near the MRT station and the famous Liuhe Night Market. It’s also close to places like the Love River and Pier-2, and just one station away from Formosa Boulevard. The room was spacious, and the free coffee and snacks during the day were a nice bonus. Would definitely recommend this hotel for couples, families, or anyone exploring Kaohsiung.

It’s also close to places like the Love River and Pier-2, and just one station away from Formosa Boulevard. The room was spacious, and the free coffee and snacks during the day were a nice bonus. Would definitely recommend this hotel for couples, families, or anyone exploring Kaohsiung.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The check-in process was very fast and efficient, and the front desk staff were friendly and helpful. I originally booked a double room, but to my surprise, I was given a complimentary upgrade to a quadruple room. The room was extremely spacious, clean, and well-maintained. It even had two TVs, which was a nice bonus. The restroom was also large and featured a bathtub, making the stay even more comfortable. Whenever I encountered any issues, the hotel staff responded promptly and resolved them efficiently. The location is excellent—only about a 5-minute walk from Kaohsiung Main Station. There are plenty of convenient dining and shopping options nearby, including McDonald’s, Burger King, KFC, and 7-Eleven. The breakfast was another highlight of the stay, offering a wide variety of choices to suit different tastes. Overall, I had a great experience and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Kaohsiung.

Great location, able to take MRT (redline) directly from Kaohsiung airport to Kaohsiung Main Station , then just walk across the street, hotel is right there. Hotel room is reasonable size, nicely setup. Since it's close to MRT station, you can get to anywhere easily. Great food choices including street food is just within walking distance. We left Kaohsiung to Taipei by high speed train, it's also very easy to get to Zuo-ying Station from hotel. Just take TRA local train (station is same as the MRT station) to New Zuo-Ying Station and transfer to the high speed train. It was a bit confusing in the beginning but if you ask anyone at the station, they are always happy to answer you. People are extremely friendly

It's also a 5-minute walk to Exit 10 of Formosa Boulevard Station, though this exit doesn't have an elevator, so it's not recommended if you have large luggage. 2. The hotel provides a variety of snacks and drinks, all available for free. 3. I originally booked a queen room, but the hotel upgraded me to a room with two queen beds free of charge, which I appreciate. 4. The self-service laundry room is on the 3rd floor and requires a 10 NTD coin. 5. I arrived at the hotel at 1 PM on a rainy afternoon and was informed that check-in was at 3 PM. Oh well, I left my luggage and headed out with an umbrella to find something to eat. 6. The bathroom's wet and dry separation design is excellent. However, the shower door isn't sealed, so water tends to leak out.

The hotel location is unbeatable - it is located right beside the Love River with beautiful and relax view. There is a 7-11 is right next to the hotel which makes my stay easier. I enjoy the hotel overall, however there is an odd smell when I stepped right into the lobby and the smell remained constantly during my entire stay. Luckily the room smells fresh. I like the hotel and highly recommend to others and will come back if I visit KH again.

The stay was wonderful! It was my first time travelling solo, and I booked a single room. I was pleasantly surprised by how spacious it was. There was plenty of room to move around comfortably, and the bathroom was also very large. One thing to note is that the air conditioning turns on automatically when you’re in the room and cannot be switched off manually. Also, be careful when entering the bathroom, as the floor is slightly elevated compared to the main room, which can be easy to miss at first. (the bathroom floor and room floor is not the same height). Another thing to keep in mind is that the hotel reception is located on the 5th floor. Upon arrival, you need to take a short flight of stairs to reach the area where the elevator is located before taking the lift up to reception. This may be less convenient for elderly guests or those with mobility issues, especially if they are travelling with heavy luggage. Overall, I had a very comfortable stay and would happily recommend this hotel to solo traveller and couple/friends travellers😍👍

The room was smaller than expected, amenities was also fewer than expected. However the location was good, bus stop was just infront of the hotel and train station was a few minutes away only. Service was also great but its sad that we have to pay for extra hotel card. Overall hotel was good, just hope they improve the amenities considering the hotel wasnt cheap.

The room was clean and tidy, and the hotel is very close to Cianjin Metro Station, not far from Liuhe Tourist Night Market either. The staff were polite, but they lacked empathy towards guests, which is a shame as it really takes away from the warm hospitality Southern Taiwan is known for. A special thanks to the gentleman with glasses who helped us switch to a king-sized bed – he's the only one truly deserving of praise! 👍 Both the washing machine and dryer are coin-operated; you can get tokens at the front desk, where they also sell laundry powder. It's best to bring your own travel-sized detergent and toiletries as drinking water isn't provided. There were quite a few tour groups, mostly from Europe and America.

The room environment and facilities were pretty standard, but the air conditioning couldn't be adjusted. At night, the room temperature dropped to 18 degrees Celsius, so I had to wear a down jacket to sleep. Plus, it made an annoying noise. Another frustrating thing was that I had to let the water run for a while to get hot water in the bathroom, and the exhaust fan also made a loud noise, which really affected my sleep at night. I hope the hotel manager seriously checks the hotel's air conditioning system and the bathroom's exhaust system.
