We had high expectations for this stay. The rooms are really the best thing about the hotel. Although the place is really nice and perfectly located, it was quite evident that this was low-season as there was fewer staff, some technical difficulties in the room with the tv and coffee machine, so compared to other nice places, it felt like there is a need for a facility update soon.

The resort has just re-branded. They are developing and improving their resorts , facilities, services. There is high speed internet all area and strength signals. The most strength mobile service signals is AIS but they just equipped more for True/DTAC. The room is clean and comfortable bed. I recommend you bring your soap, shampoo … (Hotel provided but not good enough for me). There is personal beach in the front of resort. It really nice but many big stones. If you would like to swim in the sea, I suggest you swim far from the beach area.

We visit Koh Kood every year. As a family of three, we drive from Bangkok, park at the paid Ana Lay private parking lot, and then take a shuttle bus to catch either a speedboat or a ferry. Our usual pattern on Koh Kood is spending the whole day at the beach — playing in the sand, snorkeling, and taking some photos. Ana Lay Resort is located slightly on a hillside. As you walk down, you’ll find it surrounded by large rocks, and the property is arranged in a terraced style with a wide variety of room types. They also seem to be continuously adding new rooms closer to the beach. One of the highlights is the wooden walkway built among the large rocks — it blends beautifully with nature without damaging the environment, making it perfect for photos or a relaxing stroll. If you follow the path, you’ll reach the beach. The sandy beach is much larger than it looks in photos. At first, we were worried there might not be much sand, but we were pleasantly surprised by the size. There is also a spot where freshwater meets the sea, which is one of our favorite places. You can clearly see the changing scenery between high tide and low tide at this point. From the pier where the resort’s speedboats dock, you can enjoy diving and snorkeling. On the beach, you can easily spend the entire day playing in the sand. Breakfast isn’t extremely varied, but they offer freshly made noodle soup, bacon, and egg dishes, which we enjoyed. In the evening, the sunset view is stunning. The resort clearly recognizes this and has built the restaurant in a perfect location, making it easy to focus more on the scenery than the meal. I’m not sure if it’s every day, but the staff at Ana Lay also prepare a fire show. The quality was higher than expected, and we were very satisfied. This trip made it easy to understand why this place is popular among Thai travelers. We stayed for four days, and the staff were very friendly throughout our stay. Sometimes we rented a motorbike to go for lunch, dinner, or visit other beaches. A standard motorbike costs 300 baht per day, and a newer one costs 350 baht.

The environment is truly beautiful. Our room had a sea view, and there's a wooden boardwalk and a beach. The hostess is very gentle and thoughtful. It's about a 30-minute drive from the pier, with restaurants nearby, and a 15-minute walk to Ao Prao Beach. However, the hotel's downside is the significant amount of trash on the beach to the right of the wooden boardwalk. It's not visible from afar, but up close, it's quite off-putting. It's sad to see such a beautiful environment with such a neglected area. Additionally, the breakfast quality is not high, and the variety is limited. The seafood porridge mentioned in other reviews was also gone. We stayed for two nights, and on the second day, we ordered fried eggs, but they hadn't arrived even after we finished everything else. When the server cleared our table and asked if we needed anything else, we reminded them about the fried eggs. It took a long time for them to be served, despite there being only a few guests at the time. Overall, there's a lot of room for improvement with breakfast. Finally, I want to thank the owner. Our pick-up car was late, and our phone card couldn't make calls, so we asked the hostess to contact them. Later, the host also helped us, even waiting with us. The car was 23 minutes late, and I was anxious, worried about missing the boat back to Koh Chang. With the host's help and company, I was finally able to patiently wait for the car to arrive.

Best beach so far , no pool but understandable that the beach is perfect.  No welcome drink or impression over first time arriving ,not staff itself , I meant the view the office the entrance not attractive at all.  Breakfast was cold but nice Thai style. Many tourists , loads of Mosquitoes  , in my room can fits up to 3 people, funny that I can’t fall asleep because the air con made the weird noise all night until I switch off, I don’t like their hospitality but love the beach.

Excellent hotel. We've stayed here twice already and have booked it again for November. The beach is small but sufficient. The pool is fantastic. The bungalows are comfortable. The grounds are incredibly beautiful, and the sunsets are out of this world! The restaurant serves delicious food. The breakfast selection isn't huge, but everything is very tasty. There are 2-3 hot dishes and 2-3 side dishes, along with vegetables, fruits, and eggs prepared in any style, including omelets with various fillings. They offer cheese (4 types of excellent cheese) and ham. There's a variety of pastries (croissants, biscuits, waffles, pancakes) with jams, condensed milk, and chocolate. The coffee is decent. The staff is very attentive. On the beach, there are kayaks and paddleboards available. The low tides aren't a big deal. There are hardly any restaurants in the vicinity, just one in the neighboring hotel. You can rent scooters right at the hotel. I recommend it!

This hotel is fantastic! This was our third time staying at Shanta, and we returned after a long six-year break. The hotel has gotten even better since then. It's quiet and peaceful, and the staff are incredibly efficient and discreet. We honestly haven't tasted better food anywhere else in Thailand. Beach towels are readily available, as is bottled water. There are always sun loungers free, even when the hotel is fully booked – you hardly see anyone, it's truly a place for relaxation. The bedding and towels are excellent quality. They've also started providing daily snacks like cookies and nuts (in addition to coffee, tea, and hot chocolate), plus sweet sodas. We will definitely be back to our beloved Shanta!

We stay here for the 2nd time. It is convenient that there is a straight pier and a boat comes from Ko Chang or Ko Mac (as this time straight to the hotel practically). Nearby is a quiet private beach. A quiet hotel, a hospitality girl, has arranged tickets for us to return to the mainland. There is a kitchen (steamed nagets even once), you can cut fruits like a boiler with water, coffee, dishes, toaster and bread even. This time often forgot to split water into a boiler. The room is small but clean enough. There is a rental of bikes, but very tired, the whip on the kittens knocked constantly.

Our family of three lived in this new year for three days, and there was still some reluctance to go. The hotel has a beach, the most beautiful at 7 or 8 in the morning, there are very few people, the sand is not bad, and there are free kayaks for guests to play. Easy to get to from the port. Upon arrival nice greeting and drink- the kids liked it. Room allocated quickly and the person who met us was great. Beach is excellent- sunset is beautiful. Pier great to jump from. Swimming pool warm with seats to relax in. Room was good, air conditioning worked. Ignoring broken toilet seat and broken soap dispenser- the room was fine and close to the beach, restaurant and shop. The room has WiFi and the tv has Netflix access if you have an account and YouTube. Motorbike hire is easy- check for bold tyres. We had a puncture almost immediately. My fault for not checking carefully enough . Service in the restaurant was disappointing- I had to ask each day for coffee. The staff pulled faces when asked as if it was too much trouble. It was awkward asking 2 days in a row. Both staff were equally difficult. I understand it is low season - not so many customers but they need to pay more attention to diners, play some music and have a simple welcoming look. Breakfast was not so good. If you want eggs or omelettes cooked- good luck! Everything seemed too much trouble. We had dinner there on the first night. The service was terrible but the food was nice and well presented. Booking trips or boats out was easy and well organised. It was strange that this was so good when the service in the restaurant in the same place was so poor. I personally would not stay here again, there are nicer hotels along the coast that have better service and facilities around the same price point, I didn’t take many photos here, it felt soulless. I was happy to leave. The island is excellent. I’m glad we explored it but I would never stay at Sea Far again.

Из плюсов: территория ухоженная, вечером слабо, но освещается, в бунгало чисто, посторонних запахов нет, насекомых нет, кондиционер работает тихо, так же есть вентилятор, холодильник и чайник, бройлер тоже работает, напор воды средний. Есть аренда байков. Каждый день приносят только воду. Из минусов:внутри темно и мало места. В этом отеле в принципе нет домиков с видом на океан. Либо с видом на территорию(по их это сад), либо с видом в стенку впереди стоящего домика. В бунгало нет вайфая, только в кафе при отеле. При этом вайфай там слабый. В кафе еда и напитки дорогие. Персонал вообще практически не понимает никакой язык. Рядом с этим отелем есть классная кафешка в самом конце, я питалась там все время-еда отличная и очень дешёвая. Также рядом с этим отелем есть два других отеля, где домики действительно с видом на океан. Так что посмотрите по карте. Рядом нет никакой инфраструктуры, до всего нужно ехать только на байке. Если бы не чистые номера, я бы поставила оценку ниже. В этот отель больше не вернусь.

Stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. We chose this hotel because we liked its location - close to Bang Bao Beach, but at an affordable price. For ease of movement around the island, the hotel staff offered us a good motorbike without any deposit. The owner of the hotel, Jay, is generally a very attentive and welcoming host, ready to help with any issue. He told us about interesting places on the island that are worth visiting, where to eat, and even where is the best place on the island to watch the sunset. At our request, Jay arranged our return transfer to Bangkok via speedboat and private comfortable car. The room we lived in was large, very bright and stylishly decorated. The bed is large, with a comfortable mattress, plenty of pillows and snow-white bed linen. The air conditioner is modern, not noisy, and quickly cooled a fairly large room. From the room there is access to a small terrace with a tea table and a view of the garden, there is a clothes dryer. The room has a modern TV with smart TV function and Internet access. The bathroom is spacious, the instantaneous water heater worked well, and there are personal hygiene items. Beach towels and a mat are provided for guests to relax on the beach. Upon check-in, guests will receive a compliment from the hotel. We had a great time at the hotel and would love to come back again, Thanks Jay 🙏

I was lucky to have great weather on the island with bright sunshine, so the photos turned out really beautiful. However, it felt more like a trendy B&B than a hotel. The breakfast was delicious, but dinner was just so-so (there's no 7-Eleven on the island, and it's inconvenient to go out, so if you don't want to eat at the hotel, you might want to bring some instant noodles; there are snacks in the room but they're all quite sweet). I wish the room was a bit bigger, and surprisingly, there were no complimentary toothbrushes. Even though I got a bargain price during the off-season, I'd feel it wasn't worth it if the price were any higher. I'd recommend the Mint Lotus hotel next door instead. 😂😂😂

The hotel is beautiful and atmospheric. The grounds are well-maintained. We really enjoyed it. A small drawback for those on a bike is the roughly 1-kilometer road from the hotel, which is not very steep (sand at first, then gravel), but that didn't upset us. The hotel is located on a river, with lots of fish swimming there, including crabs and sea urchins. The sea is very clean, with rocks to the left and crabs constantly hanging out on them. You can admire the colorful fish while snorkeling. The staff is helpful and they resolved all our issues. Bikes are available for rent. The hotel also provides kayaks and snorkeling masks free of charge.

Overall, it's a great spot, but only for a couple of nights: the beach and sea are stunning, the tents are stylish and interesting, and the breakfasts are decent. We had lunch and dinner there too, but it was pretty mediocre, both the Thai food and the pizza. By the third day, it loses its charm, and you get tired of the shared toilets and showers. We were happy to move to a more standard accommodation for our remaining two nights (which we had planned in advance).

Although the hotel isn't huge, the grounds are well-maintained. The rooms are small (like most on the island, to be fair), but the bathrooms are massive, and both have been recently renovated. There are no TVs. Breakfasts are decent, almost homemade. The hotel offers scooter rentals and various beach essentials like inflatable mats and balls. There's a restaurant right next door and a roadside cafe not far away, and the prices were a pleasant surprise (not expensive for the island). S Beach is a short walk from the hotel, and the water there is incredibly clear. There's a massage service on the beach (prices are standard for the island, not cheap if you compare to Pattaya, Koh Chang, or Bangkok). The location is great because it's a short scooter ride to any of the beaches, waterfalls, etc. Highly recommend!

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel! We stayed in a deluxe villa, second row from the sea. The sea was magnificent, especially before 3 PM, after which the tide started to go out. The breakfasts were average, but always fresh, and there was always plenty of everything. For dinner, we ate at the à la carte restaurant, and everything was delicious (we had read some negative reviews about the food)! Especially the grilled scallops, and the large mixed grilled seafood platter, which included fish baked in salt. The staff were a bit slow, but always tried their best to please you. As for the downsides, the WiFi simply didn't work, and there wasn't a single fruit shop within walking distance.

The front desk staff are generally friendly, and scooters are available for rent at 250 Baht per day.

На ночном рынке коктейли намного вкуснее и дешевле) Ну а так, идеальный отдых за свои деньги.

I was lucky to have great weather on the island with bright sunshine, so the photos turned out really beautiful. However, it felt more like a trendy B&B than a hotel. The breakfast was delicious, but dinner was just so-so (there's no 7-Eleven on the island, and it's inconvenient to go out, so if you don't want to eat at the hotel, you might want to bring some instant noodles; there are snacks in the room but they're all quite sweet). I wish the room was a bit bigger, and surprisingly, there were no complimentary toothbrushes. Even though I got a bargain price during the off-season, I'd feel it wasn't worth it if the price were any higher. I'd recommend the Mint Lotus hotel next door instead. 😂😂😂

Great place, we had a two-story house for 4 people. Everything is clean, beautiful, the staff is very friendly and polite. Breakfast is mediocre, but we did not go for food :) without breakfast it will be sad, because there are only cafes nearby (shops, of course, nicht), there are not many of them. This is a beautiful, paradise island, just right for privacy with nature. I did not like the price for the hotel per day)

Best beach so far , no pool but understandable that the beach is perfect.  No welcome drink or impression over first time arriving ,not staff itself , I meant the view the office the entrance not attractive at all.  Breakfast was cold but nice Thai style. Many tourists , loads of Mosquitoes  , in my room can fits up to 3 people, funny that I can’t fall asleep because the air con made the weird noise all night until I switch off, I don’t like their hospitality but love the beach.

Overall, it's a great spot, but only for a couple of nights: the beach and sea are stunning, the tents are stylish and interesting, and the breakfasts are decent. We had lunch and dinner there too, but it was pretty mediocre, both the Thai food and the pizza. By the third day, it loses its charm, and you get tired of the shared toilets and showers. We were happy to move to a more standard accommodation for our remaining two nights (which we had planned in advance).

A pleasant hotel. We stayed in the very last row of bungalows, which are practically brand new. The bungalow itself has everything you need: a refrigerator, a safe, and hot water. The beds are comfortable. Two minor drawbacks: the air conditioning is very noisy and powerful for such a small house, and the breakfast is very poor. The grounds are well-maintained. The beach and sea are magnificent.

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel! We stayed in a deluxe villa, second row from the sea. The sea was magnificent, especially before 3 PM, after which the tide started to go out. The breakfasts were average, but always fresh, and there was always plenty of everything. For dinner, we ate at the à la carte restaurant, and everything was delicious (we had read some negative reviews about the food)! Especially the grilled scallops, and the large mixed grilled seafood platter, which included fish baked in salt. The staff were a bit slow, but always tried their best to please you. As for the downsides, the WiFi simply didn't work, and there wasn't a single fruit shop within walking distance.

Although the hotel isn't huge, the grounds are well-maintained. The rooms are small (like most on the island, to be fair), but the bathrooms are massive, and both have been recently renovated. There are no TVs. Breakfasts are decent, almost homemade. The hotel offers scooter rentals and various beach essentials like inflatable mats and balls. There's a restaurant right next door and a roadside cafe not far away, and the prices were a pleasant surprise (not expensive for the island). S Beach is a short walk from the hotel, and the water there is incredibly clear. There's a massage service on the beach (prices are standard for the island, not cheap if you compare to Pattaya, Koh Chang, or Bangkok). The location is great because it's a short scooter ride to any of the beaches, waterfalls, etc. Highly recommend!

Our family of three lived in this new year for three days, and there was still some reluctance to go. The hotel has a beach, the most beautiful at 7 or 8 in the morning, there are very few people, the sand is not bad, and there are free kayaks for guests to play. The hotel is a small villa, very new and very clean, mini bar snacks can be eaten free of charge, building materials are mostly taken from natural materials, very environmentally friendly. The most praiseworthy is the hotel's restaurant, which is superb. I thought that the materials on the bone island would not be fresh, but in fact, the hotel restaurant can kill a large number of high-end restaurants in Bangkok, regardless of the ingredients or taste, and the price is very good. Kindly, we have spent two or three hundred yuan on a dinner meal with a full range of seafood and meat. There is also a happy hour every afternoon, and the cost is also very good. The fly in the ointment is that the hotel is rather ridiculous, travel can only rent a small motorcycle, the hotel rent a motorcycle to 400 pigs a day, slightly expensive.
