Great location, right beside the lake.
We weren’t aware that toilet, shower and kitchen is all shared. Cabin is super tiny that is hard to do anything else inside. We didn’t sleep that well and it was not convenient that you have to go outside for toilets in the middle of night.

You can park right in front of your room, and after checking in, you can drive directly to your room door. It's a two-story layout, with the bedroom and bathroom downstairs, and the kitchen, living room, and balcony upstairs. It's very spacious with nice views. There's a 4 Square supermarket nearby where you can buy groceries to cook your own steak. Restaurants in Lake Tekapo town close very early, and there's not much shopping to do. We stayed here purely because we booked a stargazing tour for the evening, but it rained, so we couldn't see anything. Honestly, if you're not stargazing, you could just explore the town briefly and then head to your next destination. The hotel was alright, and the price of over 2000 per night probably matched our initial excitement of being on vacation.SOLD OUT

This hostel is damn good! The location is perfect, with a stunning view of the mountains and the river. And it's incredibly clean. I booked a 4-bed female-only room, and it was super comfortable.
They are constantly cleaning, so the place is spotless everywhere, all the time. Highly recommend it, you won't regret it!

If you want to feel the private garage and small villa, then come to this one. It's really a completely different experience, it's the feeling of renting a house.
We arrived late because of the closure of Highway 8 and responded immediately after ringing the bell.
This one has a bathtub and can take a bath. There is also an electronic fireplace. The style is in place. There is even a rice cooker 🥰 to completely solve the Chinese stomach.
The starry sky is so beautiful! Looking up is the starry sky. The sun is spilled on the bedside in the morning. The door is Tekapo. Recommend to stay a few more days.

It was my first time staying in a homestay apartment. It was very clean overall. We arrived late and the old landlord kept waiting. It was very hard for the old man to sleep so late. I am very grateful to him. The two rooms are very homely and warm. There are air conditioners and fireplaces, which are very comfortable in winter. I have two children who are 4 and a half years old and they were charged extra... This was unexpected. Generally, it is OK for children of this age not to occupy beds, but it was too late and the whole family was very tired, so we didn't care. It is more important to communicate with the landlord in advance. I don't know why there is a charge. We didn't have breakfast either, which needs to be ordered in advance. The house is located by the lake, five minutes away from the Church.
Johnathan gave us a big help for our dinner in the house.You can easily cook in the kitchen.
You can see the Milky Way in the yard, and it is very convenient to watch the stars at night in the house garden.

It had a kitchen and dining facilities, and although we didn't cook, it was fully equipped for anyone who wanted to. We checked in around 5 PM, and the owner was there to assist, even giving us a bottle of milk. Later arrivals check in independently, as there's no one at the front desk then. If you reach late at night, it’s better to contact hotel in advance and ask for map and photos of your room location before. I arrived very late at night from Christchurch (changed transit flight from Auckland). It took me awhile to understand the map, room location and where to park. It was just 1 day after new moon. Found this place at the very last minute, and it exceeded our expectations! My family and I loved this place - good location (walking distance to Lake Tekapo etc.), super friendly staff, sparkly clean units (we stayed at both Unit 4 & 5 - 4 nights stay in total!) and all stated amenities were provided as well! The only thing to be improved was probably the wifi connection at Unit 5 (slightly weak as compared to Unit 4) and the master room door at unit 5 had loud squeaking sounds when you open/close the door. Other than that, it was such a lovely stay at Skyblue Tekapo! I would definitely come back here to stay if I ever go to Lake Tekapo again. Thank you for having us Wince! And the bathroom sink and kitchen drain don't drain well.
When I brush my teeth or wash my face, the water doesn't drain well and gets stuck.

The hotel is actually a villa, far from the town, it takes 18 minutes to drive from the town's big supermarket, and it is five kilometers away, near Lake Tekapo. There is no light pollution, it is a great place to watch the Galaxy at night. Five rooms, with ten beds in size, suitable for small teams, no single rental. The facilities are the same as ten years ago, and they are very old. You can chop firewood fireplace, cook well-equipped, away from the town, you must communicate at a service point in the town to understand the specific location and route of the hotel, and you must buy enough food in the town supermarket. We had a great one night stay at the apartment and wish that we could stayed longer. The place is full of amenities needed for living all spotless clean. The hotel does not have a front desk, and the keys are taken from the key box at the door with a password. If you have any questions, you can call the hotel customer service. They provide Chinese service and are very enthusiastic and patient. The hotel rooms are spacious and well-equipped, making them very suitable for family travel.SOLD OUT

We stayed at this Tekapo home and really enjoyed how spacious it is, especially with two separate living rooms — plenty of room for everyone to relax. The house comes with all the necessary amenities, which made the stay convenient and comfortable.
However, a few cleanliness details could be improved. The dishwasher wasn’t clean and didn’t wash dishes properly, and the detergent compartment couldn’t close fully. We also noticed some areas, like the restroom ventilator, had layers of dust and hadn’t been cleaned well.
Overall, the space and setup are great, but a bit more attention to cleaning and maintaining would make the experience much better.SOLD OUT

The stay was good, quite a new apartment for a family of 3, I think it can stay up to 4. Just that, quite a distance from Lake Tekapo, which we need to walk 10 -15 minutes to reach the Lake to view Milky way. There are some minor defers that was there before my stay, hope they could fix for the next stay. Overall, I love the view and hope to stay there again.FromVND 11,007,696

|0.37km from city centerYou can park right in front of your room, and after checking in, you can drive directly to your room door. It's a two-story layout, with the bedroom and bathroom downstairs, and the kitchen, living room, and balcony upstairs. It's very spacious with nice views. There's a 4 Square supermarket nearby where you can buy groceries to cook your own steak. Restaurants in Lake Tekapo town close very early, and there's not much shopping to do. We stayed here purely because we booked a stargazing tour for the evening, but it rained, so we couldn't see anything. Honestly, if you're not stargazing, you could just explore the town briefly and then head to your next destination. The hotel was alright, and the price of over 2000 per night probably matched our initial excitement of being on vacation.

We weren’t aware that toilet, shower and kitchen is all shared. Cabin is super tiny that is hard to do anything else inside. We didn’t sleep that well and it was not convenient that you have to go outside for toilets in the middle of night.
The campsite is nice, but with the amount of people and campvan, the utilities seem to be overloaded.
