I had a very pleasant stay at Resort World Langkawi. The location is slightly away from the main tourist attractions, which makes it perfect for travellers who prefer a quieter and more relaxing environment. The receptionists and housekeeping staff were very friendly and helpful, and they were always willing to answer any questions I had during my stay. Their hospitality made the experience even more enjoyable. The hotel also provides free parking, which was very convenient since I had rented a car to explore the island. In terms of accessibility, the hotel is about 20 minutes from Langkawi International Airport and roughly a 10-minute drive to Pantai Cenang, making it easy to reach popular spots while still enjoying a peaceful stay. One thing to note is that there is only a single mini mart within the hotel and the prices are a bit on the higher side. On my first morning, I ordered breakfast through Grab instead, which was still convenient since delivery services can reach the hotel easily. The room floor had some visible stubborn stains and the hotel does not provide room slippers, so you may want to consider bringing your own if you prefer not to walk barefoot in the room. Overall, it’s still a good option for travellers looking for a quiet and relaxing stay in Langkawi, especially if you plan to drive around the island.

This resort-style hotel truly embodies a Southeast Asian vibe, boasting beautiful pools and a garden with stunning scenery, where squirrels 🐿️ and birds leisurely forage on the lawn. Although the room facilities are a bit dated, they are still clean and tidy. On our first day, we noticed the bathroom sink wasn't draining properly, and after reporting it to the front desk, someone was sent to fix it immediately. Watching the sunset from a lounge chair on the hotel's beach in the evening was the most enjoyable part of the day. There are quite a few restaurants around the hotel, and while it's not as bustling as Cenang Beach, it's perfect for travelers seeking peace and quiet. (Even if you want to go to Cenang Beach, it's very close – about a 20-minute walk or a 5-minute taxi ride). Highly, highly recommended for those on a budget who want to experience authentic Southeast Asian charm! 👍🏖️🌴🌴

Hotel is 15 floors. Check in to room with sea view on 11th floor - big, clean carpeted, separate shower and tub. Lobby pretty big with restaurant, meeting room, tour guide and a bistro. Welcome drink is a choice of fruit juice or beer at bistro. Also included is a high tea voucher for following day. Took a short walk and found a variety of different food places around - malay, Indian, Korean, Japanese and a tze char joint as well. A lot of different varieties of shops and duty free shops as Langkawi is a duty-free island where alcohol is cheaper than soft drinks. Many seafood joints around within 0.6 to 14 km radius.

This family-friendly hotel is absolutely fantastic! Paired with the beautiful Langkawi weather, it made for the best part of our trip. We stayed for two nights during the Chinese New Year holiday with my whole family, including seniors and kids, in a family suite which was a standalone wooden chalet. The hotel environment is excellent, nestled between mountains and water, and it's also right next to the SkyCab, so you could easily spend two days just exploring the area. We also booked an island hopping tour through the hotel, which was convenient, good value, and a great experience. We'll definitely come back next time we have a chance. A special mention to Sofie at the front desk – she was incredibly nice and gentle, providing an excellent check-in and check-out experience for guests. The hotel's Thai restaurant is great, followed by the Malaysian restaurant. We didn't go to the Chinese restaurant; I just glanced at the menu and decided against it. It felt like over 80% of the guests here were Caucasians, and the overall atmosphere, including at check-in and on the beach, was very peaceful.

Nice hotel with real potential, but it feels neglected and needs maintenance. The rooftop pool is pleasant with great views, though the big umbrella is very rusted and it closes at 7 pm, a bit too early. The room was excellent: large, spacious and really beautiful. Breakfast is a highlight, very good selection and the pancakes were outstanding. Staff is hit or miss: some are friendly and helpful, others seem bored and uninterested. The rooftop restaurant idea is nice, but service was poor. We waited a full hour for dinner while later arrivals got served first, very frustrating. Overall: good bones, great room and breakfast, but inconsistent service and visible wear and tear hold it back. Could be excellent with some care.

The hotel facilities were newer and better than I expected. The staff were very polite and attentive, patiently answering all our questions, making us feel right at home. The scenery is also beautiful, perfect for relaxing and unwinding at the hotel – exactly the kind of vibe we love. The only downside was that our room was close to the lobby, and the singing at night went on until 11:30 PM, which was too loud.

Kuah Town Langkawi|4.81km from city center
This hotel was just a place to crash; we were out all day anyway, so we didn't expect much. The location is excellent, right in town. Across the street, there's a duty-free chocolate shop, and plenty of food options within a few blocks. It's also beachfront, so you can catch the sunrise. We booked a suite, which was spacious, but the facilities were quite outdated. The hot water was intermittent, and it seemed like there was no hot water at all late at night! I left my swim trunks in the room and called customer service to ask about them. I figured if they found them, I'd just take a taxi back from Berjaya to pick them up. The first time I called, a man answered and said he'd look for them. When I called again, a woman answered. I'm not sure if she didn't understand English or what, but she just mumbled and rambled for a while before abruptly hanging up on me. Since I was short on time, I just gave up and bought new ones. The breakfast was mediocre, with limited choices. Just enough to grab a bite. The gym is tiny and the equipment is old, but nobody supervises it, and hardly anyone uses it. You just swipe your card to enter, so it's practically 24 hours. It was sufficient for my workout needs. The infinity pool has a nice view, and my kids loved it. There were a lot of Indian people diving and having 'doggy paddle' races, making the pool quite chaotic, and nobody seemed to be managing it. The Indian 'doggy paddle' is hilarious; it's not the first time I've seen it, I've seen it countless times now! I even wonder if it's some kind of Indian national art form? The key thing is, this stroke is exhausting and inefficient, yet they all seem to enjoy it immensely 😂

Tanjung Rhu Beach Langkawi|10.75km from city center
The hotel is well-maintained, and the breakfast is consistently good! The fishing trip was a lot of fun, caught plenty of fish. However, I'd recommend booking the mangrove tour elsewhere (the hotel's mangrove tour didn't feature any bats). The beach is very clean, but there aren't many small creatures (like hermit crabs...). The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. Choosing this hotel for our anniversary was definitely the right decision. All in all, it truly is one of Langkawi's top hotels.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Great stay for short getaway! I stayed at Dash Hotel last weekend and really enjoyed my stay. The location is great, at the end of Pantai Tengah, just a short drive to Pantai Cenang and surrounded by plenty of eateries (including Orkid Ria!). The food at the hotel was good, and the breakfast with sparkling wine was a lovely touch. The view, especially during sunset was super beautiful. Perfect spot to relax and enjoy the beach vibe! 🌅🍾

The location is fantastic! Right next to the yacht marina, making it super convenient for sunset cruises – you just head downstairs and then straight back to the hotel to relax. Downstairs, there are shops, Japanese restaurants, cafes, and Malaysian food options. The room is spacious; our family room had two large queen-sized beds, and the decor is simple. Toiletries and disposable slippers are provided. The service was also excellent; my requests for a power adapter and late check-out were both easily accommodated. There are two things to note: you need to turn on a switch near the bathroom entrance for hot water when showering. My parents didn't realize this and ended up with cold showers, which I only discovered later. The breakfast view is unbeatable, overlooking the yacht marina, but the food selection is very limited. When we went down at 9:30 AM, there were only two tables of guests, including us. I'm not sure if it's because it's the off-season, but the breakfast left me a little disappointed with the Ramada brand.

The room layout was very well designed and practical. They even had a capsule coffee machine, which was a nice touch. The pool and outdoor areas were beautiful. What I really appreciated was that getting to the beach and pool from the hotel wasn't as far a walk as it often is in China. The breakfast was plentiful, although my Chinese palate wasn't entirely used to some of the offerings. The beach was great for shell-collecting, with lots of shellfish. Overall, a really good experience! Just a heads-up, there's no Chinese-speaking staff, and it's mostly European guests.

This hotel was our best stay in Langkawi, It gave us a little 'White Lotus' vibe. If you like lots of greenary, this hotel is for you. View is amazing. Food was good. Only the minus point was it is a little far away from the main center. sometimes difficult to get a cab after 8, if you want to go to Pantai Chenang. Airport and sky bridge was quite near and also some of the nice beaches of Langkawi. For food, there is an authentic Indian restaurant 'Delhi Darbar' at a walking distance. There is also a cafe nearby. I definetely recommend this place.

The bedding was excellent, and the balcony got great sun, perfect for drying clothes. The food at the restaurant wasn't good. None of the front desk staff or waitstaff spoke Chinese. The resort environment was lovely, and the restaurant's live singer was really talented. It's a bit remote, but very close to the mangrove forest. If you charter a boat, you can ask the captain to pick you up and drop you off at Tanjung Rhu Beach, so you don't have to change clothes in the public restrooms at the jetty.

Online reviews mentioned that staying in Kuah Town would be quieter, but since it's surrounded by seafood restaurants and roads, there were still motorcycle noises around 11 PM or 12 AM. However, it didn't bother us late sleepers, and it quieted down even later. In comparison, Pantai Cenang, being by the sea, would be much quieter. The room felt like an older 4-star hotel. I stayed in a twin room the first night and a king room the second, and for 300, it was generally good value for money. There's an I-Bing bubble tea shop nearby with delicious taro milkshakes, and it's also very close to Wonderland. Parking is very convenient and free.

We booked for the king deluxe room. There were no updates coming from the hotel but when i called to ask for a decoration for my room, only then i knew that the room i asked for was already full. Finally feeling like I'm abroad now that I've arrived at the Langkawi hotel. Even charging requires an adapter, and there are fewer Chinese tourists. The bed is advertised as 1.8 meters, but it's definitely bigger than that, larger than the one at home. The bathroom is also very spacious, though the facilities are a bit old, and the showerhead leaks a little. The biggest highlight, though, is the breakfast – it's delicious, and the variety and quality are excellent. The kids' playroom is also good; we didn't have a reservation on the first day but were still allowed to join an activity. However, on the second day, they said we needed to book a day in advance, so I just decided not to bother and left to avoid any fuss. The pool is great, and the kids loved it. We also got to enjoy the sunset there. Getting to the beach requires a shuttle, and the staff member waited for me at the beach. I went at 4 PM, and he said he could wait until 7 PM – the service was fantastic.

I brought my whole family to this hotel for a New Year's vacation. The public courtyard has plenty of space for activities, which was great. There are lots of outdoor seating areas and hammocks, and the hot and cold water dispenser was very convenient. The hotel staff were excellent, very patient and polite. The overall experience was excellent, especially the staff's attitude, which was very kind. Service was a little slow, but they were always very willing to provide the best assistance. There's a private beach and sun loungers exclusively for hotel guests, and the drinks at the Poolside Bar are reasonably priced. The ice cream unique to the Tea House is delicious and worth trying. We also tried all three restaurants, and each had its own distinct character. The seafood pasta at the Italian restaurant was tasty, and the dinner options at the breakfast restaurant were quite extensive. The light meals at the Tea House offered a variety of styles. Overall, I highly recommend it.

The rooms are located on a private, secluded island, just a ten-minute boat ride from Langkawi's Cenang Jetty. There's an hourly boat service for transfers, and a dedicated meeting point at Cenang Jetty, which is very thoughtful. We booked a king-sized bed and paid an extra 110 per day, including breakfast, for a child's additional bed. We explored the island on our own and noticed some abandoned facilities that looked like they used to be part of another hotel. Contrary to some reviews, the hotel didn't offer a daily 8:30 AM guided trek for guests; you either walk by yourself or hire a guide for 120 MYR. If you walk alone, you're warned about an 800 MYR rescue fee if anything goes wrong. The name 'Trip.com' (携程) sounds enticing, but honestly, Langkawi's ecosystem is generally very good; I think Trip.com's descriptions might be a bit exaggerated. We followed old signposts to Red Rock Beach, where there's a cave, saw many pitcher plants and hornbills, and even met a French couple heading back. We had to turn back quickly ourselves, worried about the rising tide, as it was getting late. This beach, unfortunately, was quite littered, and even the private island didn't seem well-maintained. The hotel grounds are like a garden with many monkeys; apparently, you can feed them peanuts at specific times. Staff often chase them away. The hotel's coastline isn't very long, and the water is crystal clear in the morning. There are corals but hardly any fish, though we saw many sea cucumbers and hermit crabs. Food on the island is definitely pricier than in Langkawi and not particularly tasty, just passable. There's a convenience store on the jetty where we even had an instant pizza. Hiking on the island was quite interesting; it took us over two hours round trip.

Our room was on the first floor with a single window facing the hallway, which was completely dark. The photos on Ctrip showed rooms with proper windows, which led to a misleading impression. I didn't notice the small print about 'windows' in the standard room description when booking, and it turned out to be a pitfall. Given the hotel's architecture, I assume most rooms are like this – dark and windowless – making an on-the-spot room change impossible. Spending over 1000 yuan for such a room offers poor value for money. Overall, the hotel service was decent, and the breakfast had a good variety, although the quality was just average. Coming from Penang to Langkawi, I definitely felt a drop in standards. The hotel's location is good, providing a quiet escape despite being in a bustling area.

My stay at The Datai Langkawi was nothing short of magical. Nestled in the rainforest with direct access to the beach, the resort offers the perfect blend of nature and luxury. The room is beautiful, and the surrounding environment is first-class, but people who have poor sleep quality and love to stay up late may not be suitable for living in a wooden house. You can clearly hear the sounds of birds and insects hovering everywhere. The location of the hotel is relatively hidden, surrounded by rice fields and woods, and has an excellent viewing location and orientation at sunset. It is highly recommended if you want to escape from the world for a while. The cabin I chose is very characteristic of the local houses in Langkawi. There are many windows and stained glass around the house. The building also considers the usage habits of the people in the house. Walking barefoot in the house has a homely atmosphere and makes people feel very happy. . The hotel room service is very dedicated and warm, but air-conditioning equipment is not provided during the May Day period. If you want to use it, you need to buy it, RM25/day. At the same time, toothbrushes are not provided, so you need to prepare them yourself. The cabin I booked has an induction cooker, a bread machine and matching tableware equipment. You can cook by yourself, or you can go to the bar next to the swimming pool for self-service BBQ. Due to the lack of staff in the hotel, DIY is recommended for all matters, and breakfast service is not provided. Other than that, it was a great tropical trip!

Cleanliness could be improved upon and the general upkeep needs some money putting in. The staff are helpful and willing but some could benefit from extra training to be more  efficient and more pro-active ie, clearing tables and clearing empty glasses from beach .  Reception were extremely helpful when a trip we had booked nearly turned into a disaster. They called the number in Singapore for us and helped to sort the issue. Loved the nature around the place and  the resort has such potential for great things. Some board games in the reading/ sitting area is a suggestion.  The check in/out is a bit weird and long so bear with.

I booked a 2-night stay with my Mrs in one of the villas connected to the shared pool, and our experience started off on a great note. We were picked up from the airport in a very comfortable Toyota Alphard arranged by the resort. Our driver and resort staff, Khai, was incredibly friendly—he patiently answered all my questions and gave us fantastic food recommendations since it was my first time in LGK. Upon arrival, we were welcomed by Daniel at the lobby. He served us beautifully presented lemon peach teas as a welcome drink and brought us through the entire check-in process. While waiting for our villa to be ready, we had lunch at the resort’s only restaurant. Unfortunately, this was the only part of the stay that fell short—the pizza crust was undercooked, a bit greasy, and tasted store-bought, which was quite disappointing. Thankfully, things picked up again after that. Khai later escorted us to our villa, and we were relieved that our balcony didn’t directly face the restaurant. However, I do feel the pool and villa balconies could be designed to offer more privacy so diners aren’t looking out over the area. Overall, the stay was truly pleasant. I loved that the resort is away from the busy beach, giving us a peaceful and quiet environment. All the staff were warm and friendly. A few standout perks include: 1. Complimentary rides to and from the property (subject to booking and availability) 2. Free minibar, replenished daily—including coffee capsules 3. Complimentary Netflix and YouTube accounts on the TV (which both my wife and I really love) 4. A pretty decent in-room breakfast experience. (they definitely do breakfast better than lunch, in my opinion) I also indulged in a 90-minute massage, which started with herbal tea, grapes, and a carrot stick during a herbal foot bath, followed by a foot massage and a one-hour full-body aromatherapy massage. My masseuse, Yaya, was incredibly patient and attentive, constantly checking on the pressure and even gifting me a small goodie bag at the end. All in all, I wouldn’t mind returning—and I’m even considering trying one of their larger 3-room villas next time. I highly recommend this resort for big families, couples, or anyone looking for a relaxing getaway.

A great stay! This hotel is beautiful, the rooms are large and very local. The paintings on the wall and the decorations are carefully selected. The breakfast is also great, with a wide variety and good taste. They also prepared local specialty pastries and their homemade jams. We also ordered cheese omelet, which is very smooth and fragrant when eaten alone, and it is another enjoyment to eat it in toast. It's really great! The only drawback may be the location, which is a little hidden. You have to go in from a small road, don't be scared. But you can still get a grab, but it takes a little more time. It takes about ten minutes to take a taxi from Chenang Beach and not far from the airport. Facilities: The equipment is very complete, and the most surprising thing is that the toilet is actually smart. Hygiene: Very good. Someone cleans it every day. Environment: The environment is very beautiful, as if you are in the isolated nature. The infinity pool is great, and you can see squirrels and monkeys! Service: Very good! Every staff member is very friendly. If you encounter some problems during your stay, they will be solved immediately, and the efficiency is very high.

Honestly, I've been to Malaysia four times, and this was my first time experiencing such terrible service at the Parkroyal Langkawi. Normally, they'd actively offer to bring luggage to the room, but here, they seemed reluctant and even asked, 'Do you want your luggage delivered to your room?' If not, there are two elevators you can use... Usually, I'd tip for luggage service, but this time, I saved the tip. During my stay, I also had to request a room change. I had checked in, dropped off my bags, and gone out, only to discover a strong urine smell when I returned that night to shower. The bathroom in the room they gave me reeked of urine, it was incredibly pungent. I left a message that night requesting a room change. The next morning, the hotel manager went to the room to verify the smell, even asking the cleaning staff to open the door and air it out, but the smell persisted. Only then did they give me a different room. The breakfast experience was similar; the noodle station attendant was very polite to the Western guests in front of me, making their noodles. But when it was my turn, she simply turned away to do something else, nodding to another person to serve me instead 👎. Anyway, I definitely won't be staying here again.

The hotel allowed us to check in early and even gave us drink vouchers. The pool was beautiful, and the room was comfortable. The service was excellent, and the breakfast spread was fantastic. Definitely don't miss the Langkawi sunset cruise and the mangrove tour!

We enjoyed our time here though some improvements could be made. The breakfast food area is too built up with people getting in each others way. There were only 2 coffee machines which weren't enough and we didn't enjoy the variety as much as other hotels. We found the fruit quite dry and the warm food not to our liking though that might just be personal preference. The food in the Thai restaurant was fantastic and would recommend eating there at least once. The pool area is lovely with fantastic views and a nice evening atmosphere. We didn't really use it during the day as there is nowhere near enough loungers for the size of the hotel. There is a shuttle service to the beach or you could walk it in around 4-5 minutes. Lovely beach with enough beach bean bags to go around but only about 6 parasols so not enough to go round. There's a beach shack which would have been nice if it was open more than just a couple hours in the afternoon. Other vendors not too far down the beach. Hotel room was a nice and spacious. A/c a little noisy. Clean but not spotless. Bed was comfortable. Staff were very welcoming and hosptable throughout. Hotel is in a good location for restaurants and about 12 minutes walk to the main buy street. Enjoyed our stay and would consider staying there again.l

The family room was spacious, and the air conditioning worked great. Housekeeping cleaned daily and replenished our water. The hotel has a beautiful environment, with tropical flowers, fruit trees, and other plants everywhere. We saw small animals like squirrels, monkeys, birds, and geck moving around. The hotel also has several swimming pools and a private beach. During the Chinese New Year, we even received a New Year's card and fruit. Overall, we were very satisfied.

We booked for the king deluxe room. There were no updates coming from the hotel but when i called to ask for a decoration for my room, only then i knew that the room i asked for was already full. However, out of courtesy, they gave us a free upgrade room. The aircond was broken upon arrival and we told the staff and they fixed it as soon as possible. Overall it was a good stay. I would definitely repeat regardless of the issues.

My stay at Langkapuri Inn didn’t quite live up to my expectations, to be honest. The room was definitely spacious, but the interior felt rather basic and could be improved. Adding simple furniture, such as a couch, would make the space more comfortable. The washroom, in particular, could benefit from some renovation. That said, the rooftop area is a nice highlight — it’s a relaxing spot to unwind at night, and they even screen movies there, which creates a chill atmosphere. The location is also convenient. It’s an easy walk to Pantai Cenang, and there are plenty of food options nearby. Overall, while the facilities could use some upgrading, the location and rooftop vibe are definite plus points.
