Very satisfied with this stay, I booked this one immediately when I saw the photo. It was really beautiful and super clean. The bed and quilt were fragrant! 😍 And it's in the city center, there are all kinds of food/convenience stores downstairs! The manager isabella is very enthusiastic and the self-check-in is very easy! Booked the island hopping package recommended by isabella. Our family had a great time. After jumping the island, we walked directly from the Fengsheng Port Pier for 3 minutes to take a bath at the hotel, and then went to the nearby restaurant for dinner. It was really super convenient! I went to the very beautiful island 🏝️ and I also like the various games provided in the homestay, water dispenser, towels, very thoughtful, I will definitely come again next time! Very recommended!

I had an absolutely wonderful stay here! The service was excellent—everyone was so polite and greeted me warmly whenever we met. The island environment is beautiful and very relaxing, making the whole atmosphere so pleasant and laid-back. Every meal was delicious too! My only small comment is that there were quite a lot of mosquitoes and insects in the room, which I understand is unavoidable on an island, but I hope the pest control can be improved in the future. Overall, I had a really great day and truly enjoyed my time here. Thank you to everyone for the amazing service—I will definitely come back again!

We had an awesome stay over. We enjoy ourselves in the house playing board games and we went out to tapau back to eat in the house cause we really enjoy the spacious hall cause we were tired from the day activity. Love the aesthetic and the house concept. Theres 3 bathrooms suitable for 6-7px adults.

This hotel is very clean although it looks slightly old from outside. However it suits a solo traveller as the room is still big and has space to move around freely. The towels look a bit old and i think you should change it. The location is easy to find but there is a limited parking lot.

So far ok. Just within my staying, the electric trip. So we in darkness around 1 hr. A bit far from the restaurant. My bad day, the electric trip along the places which is very dark in the night. The best thing I like this hotel because the pool is very big. Luckily, my staying not at school holiday, so not many people staying. Me and kids hv fun while we re swimming.

Arrive at Mersing one day in advance and take the boat the next day so you won’t be so tired. The boss will send you to the pier in the morning, which is very convenient. There are many places to eat around and the prices are reasonable.

above expection, even the building and interior looks old but everything still serviceable and works. Room clean, smell nice and good view (seaview). Well done.

So far ok. Cuma nya add on. Tilam harganya 35 inggit, tilamnya dah tak berapa bersih kalau tgok, cadarnya plak tak ikut size tak muat... Sabau jeler. Tempat iron nya punya cover dah kena tukar... Overall ok lah kot. Tidur semalam jer sebab anak ada konvo kat poli situ.

Middle city of Mersing. Stay sebab esok pagi nak ke jeti Mersing. 5-10 minutes ke jeti. Will repeat again.

Check-in was smooth, staff were polite and accommodating, and the location is strategic. Close to eateries, the jetty, and essential conveniences. It’s a suitable stopover for families or travelers on their way to Tioman Island. That said, the building and furnishings do show their age. Some fixtures and furniture could benefit from refurbishment, and certain areas would feel more welcoming with better lighting or fresh paint. While everything functioned as expected, maintenance feels minimal, and the overall experience leans more toward “budget comfort” than modern accommodation. Overall, it’s a simple, nostalgic stay that delivers the basics well. Ideal if you value practicality and local hospitality over luxury. With some updates and maintenance improvements, HSM could easily reclaim its place as one of Malaysia’s trusted family hotels.
