There was a good wide choice at breakfast , cereals, hit food , choice of juices, pastries and bread as well as preserves. Our dinner was excellent, very fresh ingredients. Really enjoyed our stay at this property. The manager/owner, Judy was so friendly and just a wonderful person to chat with. The room was large and well laid out. Extremely well appointed to suit travelers needs. Great kitchen area, bathroom, large bed, dining table and lounge chairs. Room also had Netflix. It's a smaller motel and you get a distinct feeling the owners are proud of it and go above and beyond to look after both the property and the guests. Great to see a property that offers and promotes easy self recycling options adjacent to the main office. Only a 2 minute walk to the centre of Blenheim which has plenty of shops, restaurants, cafes etc. Supermarket also a very short walk. From$83

A great cocktail bar with a great cocktail menu, attentive staff who knew what they were doing and did it very well. We had a Bali themed room that was quirky, comfortable and clean. The freshly renovated restaurant is fabulous and classy. As a former chef, restaurant owner and food writer I rate Chef Gianni as the best in Marlborough, his food is outstanding, punching with flavour, texture and presentation. He personally presented the duck breast to our table with an explanation on the cooking process. We also shared the lamb which is slow cooked for 14 hours! Our waitress was very attentive and looked after us like royalty. Hotel manager Michelle introduced herself and gave us a tour of other renovations underway and the soon to open 'Tiki Hut' bar. With a new owner undertaking serious renovations and under Michelle's stewardship Hotel d'Urville is once again going to be 'the place to be'. Highly recommended, even only if for the cocktail bar and restaurant but a comfortable stay as well. We'll be back!SOLD OUT

First of all Motel is spotless with great interior, Full bottles shampoo, conditioner and body wash not just one use option, lollies in a jar, many channels on TV, close to town, Very accommodating staff, But icing on cake they let a staff member leave a vehicle at the motel for a whole month as we couldn’t get it on the ferry. I arrive to finally pick up van and catch ferry and they had made sure the started it often so battery wouldn’t be flat. We were greeted very warmly by Julie, she was very friendly and provided us with lots of information. The rooms themselves are small, but very clean and what looks like nearly new carpet. Amenities provided are good, the shower pressure is amazing and the towels are wonderful. The bed was a little hard and the room was quite noisy. We were awoken by a car alarm in the early hours and a motorbike at dawn. Could also hear people talking downstairs and next door. The entry to the room was a glass sliding door, which felt a little disconcerting to be so open to people outside, but this was more perception than reality as there was a curtain attached to the door. The location is excellent as it was easy walking distance to the centre of Blenheim.From$100

Although it is not in the center of town, it is only ten minutes' walk from the intercity station and train station, and a few minutes' walk is the commercial area. If you don’t have much luggage, you can walk there. The kitchen can be used for cooking and is very clean. In the camping area behind the hotel, you can take a walk after dinner and study various RVs, which is an eye-opener.
Blenheim is too young. I learned that there are no buses on weekends after I arrived. The popular museums and chocolate factories in the area are far away without driving. It took me 70 minutes to get to the museum. Fortunately, an employee of the museum sent me back to the hotel after get off work, otherwise I would have to go all the way back.

Only a 2 minute walk to the centre of Blenheim which has plenty of shops, restaurants, cafes etc. Supermarket also a very short walk.

|0.49km from city centerA great cocktail bar with a great cocktail menu, attentive staff who knew what they were doing and did it very well. We had a Bali themed room that was quirky, comfortable and clean. The freshly renovated restaurant is fabulous and classy. As a former chef, restaurant owner and food writer I rate Chef Gianni as the best in Marlborough, his food is outstanding, punching with flavour, texture and presentation. He personally presented the duck breast to our table with an explanation on the cooking process. We also shared the lamb which is slow cooked for 14 hours! Our waitress was very attentive and looked after us like royalty. Hotel manager Michelle introduced herself and gave us a tour of other renovations underway and the soon to open 'Tiki Hut' bar. With a new owner undertaking serious renovations and under Michelle's stewardship Hotel d'Urville is once again going to be 'the place to be'. Highly recommended, even only if for the cocktail bar and restaurant but a comfortable stay as well. We'll be back!

Second time staying here on a business trip because it is located across the road from a great tavern that serves delicious pub meals & good beer. Away from the busy city but also a close drive. Parking right in front of the room. Very secure motel. Definitely recommend
