U can rent bycycle here and have a boat trip. Can do fishing activity. But to get to the city quit far. Can eat at Ikan Bakar Sabak Awor.

Cozy and Family-Friendly Getaway in the Heart of Muar
I recently stayed at MUO Resort in Muar and had a pleasant and memorable experience. The resort offers a unique mix of rustic charm and modern comfort. The rooms were clean, nicely decorated, and well-equipped with everything we needed—air conditioning, hot showers, and even a hairdryer.
What stood out the most was the peaceful environment and spacious outdoor area, which made it perfect for families. The mini zoo was a hit with the kids—rabbits, goats, and deer added a fun and educational element to our stay. It could use a bit more upkeep, but it was still enjoyable overall.
The location is also quite strategic. It’s close to town but still quiet enough for a relaxing stay. There’s even a 7-Eleven and clinic nearby, which was super convenient.
Overall, MUO Resort is a great choice for a short getaway or family vacation. Friendly staff, cozy rooms, and a touch of kampung charm—definitely worth a visit!From€33

Highly recommended for anyone who just needs a place to rest and relax without the bustle of sightseeing. And very convenient street food at glutton street and the Bentayan food court nearby.
Lastly, May I suggest savoury instead of sweet snacks in the dining room on the ground floor.

Stayed at this hotel for a friend's wedding in town and was initially assigned a queen room, which unfortunately was not as depicted in the photo.. Queen bed room was dusty and unkept with poor airconditioning. I subsequently updated to the king's room and it was so much better. Hotel is on the 2nd floor. Reception is on the 2nd floor. Staff at the front desk was nice and polite. The person replying to WhatsApp should not be in customer service. Room of the hotel is really small. We don’t even have space to pull out a chair. I would suggest to remove the chair altogether.
There were parking lots around the hotel but you’d have to pay for parking using an app. The front desk will teach you what to do.
Location of the hotel was good. Quite a lot of shops including Chagee, Starbucks, Mr DIY and many food establishments in walking distance.From€16

The room was quite spacious, with two double beds, a sofa, and a table. We booked a family room for four people. When we first entered, we noticed some dust on the sofa. We called the front desk, and a staff member arrived quickly to wipe down the sofa and table. We were a bit concerned and asked for the sheets to be changed, and the staff member immediately complied without a word. Since there were four adults staying, we asked for more toilet paper and shower gel, which they promptly provided. I must say, the service at this hotel is superb; they cater to every request. I will definitely stay here again next time.
We bought local specialty 'Otak-otak' that needed refrigeration, but there was no fridge in the room. The front desk staff informed us that there's a freezer on the first floor, usually for durian mochi, where guests can store their items. That was excellent.
The location is great. It's right near the bus terminal. We came from Larkin Sentral by bus and it was only a 5-minute walk to the hotel. There's a supermarket next to the bus terminal. If you exit the hotel and turn left, you'll find 'Glutton Street' with plenty of food options. It's also a 5-minute walk to the beach, and the nearby mural street and other attractions are all within walking distance. I highly recommend this place to everyone, it's great!From€20
