The rooms are tastefully decorated and well-equipped, and the views are absolutely perfect. The restaurant quality is also good, and watching the sunset at the fish bar was a fantastic experience. The staff are all incredibly well-trained, enthusiastic, and professional—it's not just a few individuals, but every single employee is welcoming and ready to assist with anything you need. Marriott's hotel training really shines through here. If I had to nitpick, the hotel sofas are a bit dated and starting to yellow slightly, and while the bed sheets are clean, they also show a bit of age with a slight yellowish tint. On a positive note, the bed and pillows were incredibly comfortable; I rarely sleep this well in a hotel. This is definitely a highly recommended top-tier hotel in Fiji.

Right next to the airport, there's a free shuttle bus stop outside the airport that takes you directly to the hotel. The room was clean, but I did find a small cockroach on the floor on the morning of check-out. The WiFi I paid for stopped working after heavy rain in the afternoon, but they didn't charge me for it when I checked out. The hotel food is decent if you don't feel like going out to eat. I only stayed here because I had a flight the next day, so overall it was just okay.

I really enjoyed my stay here and would happily stay again. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the location was amazing, and the view was beautiful. The staff were also incredibly friendly and helpful, making the experience even better. The only minor issues were that one of the toilets was broken during my stay, and the locker assigned to me was also broken, which was a little inconvenient. Aside from that, I had a great experience and would definitely recommend this hostel.

We had a very pleasant stay at the DoubleTree by Hilton Fiji - Sonaisali Island. The biggest highlight of this hotel is definitely the staff — everyone was genuinely friendly, welcoming, and always trying to help with a smile. You can tell the team really cares about the guests, and that makes a huge difference. The hotel itself is quite remote and isolated, which can be either a positive or a negative depending on what you are looking for. There is no real private beach for swimming, so don’t expect a classic white-sand Fiji beach resort experience. However, the location is absolutely perfect for sunsets. The evening atmosphere is beautiful, calm, and very relaxing. The breakfast is not really at a 5-star level in terms of variety or quality, but it is still more than sufficient and you will definitely find enough options to start the day well. One thing that really feels outdated though: charging extra for Wi-Fi in the rooms in 2026 is honestly absurd. Hilton, seriously — what decade are we living in? Free room Wi-Fi should be standard at this level nowadays.

I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but I feel compelled to share my experience in the hope that it encourages some improvements. Unfortunately, my stay at Nalagi Hotel was far below my expectations. From the moment I checked in, the experience got off to a disappointing start. The front desk attendant was cold and unwelcoming, never made eye contact, and didn’t smile once. She appeared annoyed to be there, which was a stark contrast to the genuine warmth and hospitality I experienced at other hotels in Nadi during this trip. The room was spacious, but it lacked thoughtful design and attention to detail. The main light switch is inconveniently located below the television, with no bedside lamps or nightstands, meaning that if you wanted to read in bed or simply turn the lights off, you had to get up each time. There was also a persistent unpleasant odor coming from the bathroom drain, and overall cleanliness and maintenance left much to be desired. The hotel feels worn and tired, as though very little care has gone into its upkeep. That’s perhaps the biggest disappointment, because the property has so much potential that simply isn’t being realized. The final straw came on my second night. I was repeatedly woken between 1:00 and 2:00 a.m. by neighboring guests who were aggressively banging on a nearby door so loudly it sounded as though they were trying to break it down. Once they eventually got into the room, the noise continued. I called reception to report the disturbance and was told security would be sent, but if they did come, it had little effect. Eventually, I had to get out of bed and ask the guests myself to keep the noise down. I genuinely wanted to enjoy my stay, but the combination of poor service, lack of maintenance, hygiene concerns, and the handling of the late-night disturbance made for a very disappointing experience. With better management, staff training, and investment in the property, Nalagi Hotel could be a wonderful place to stay. Sadly, that was not my experience.

Overall, the stay was just okay for a short period. The staff were friendly, but the facilities are clearly old and worn out – they really need urgent investment. The bathroom, unfortunately, was a disaster: a simple plastic seat, loose fixtures, and only hand soap. On the positive side: the pool was fine, the people were nice, and the food offered some variety. There are alternatives right outside the hotel, so you're not dependent on it. Conclusion: For a short overnight stay of up to two days – for example, upon arrival or departure – the hotel is acceptable. It's not recommended for longer stays.

Check in was after 3pm, check out 10:30 , and you have to get the towel from the reception. Too many rules  plastered in the room as if you are going to rob them. A deposit of FJD50 in cash is required (no drinks in the room whatsoever, just instant coffee). I asked if I can check out before 12nn but was allowed only up to 11am. When I went back to get my luggage, the lady told me that I was supposed to have checked out already, without even asking if I already did. Only the cleaning staff were helpful. Would not recommend.

We stayed at Club Fiji for our entire 5-day visit, and after exploring the area during our stay, we believe it was the best choice in Nadi. Why did we love it? The location is fantastic — right on the beach (we stayed in a beachfront bure), close to the airport but without any airplane noise. There’s a convenient free shuttle to many activities like the Vau Contemporary Dance performance or a Denarau snorkel cruise, and a taxi to Nadi town costs about 10 FJD. Our beachfront bure was newly renovated, clean, and had everything we needed — not fancy but comfortable. The beds were made regularly if we weren’t in the room when housekeeping came by. The grounds are stunning, with beautifully kept gardens and loads of chill-out spots — beach beds under umbrellas, hammocks on palm trees, two pools, and lovely spaces to eat or have a drink. The service was very personal, with staff always checking if we needed anything. They even have a travel expert on-site to help plan your activities and bookings. Entertainment happens most nights, ranging from the unique way dinners are served (like Korean grills or beach BBQs) to concerts and local celebrations. Food-wise, the buffet breakfast is simple but adequate since there are few other options nearby; the à la carte dinner menu is decent, but the special grills are outstanding. We really loved the authentic Fijian atmosphere here, which felt very different from the typical all-inclusive resorts—it had a feeling you couldn’t find just anywhere in the world.

Although it is located at the very back of downtown Nadi, it was easy to walk around downtown. I was worried about the low price, but the room was very clean. The complimentary breakfast was toast, butter, jam, and coffee. As for the transfer, the transfer from the airport to the hotel was free, which was very helpful. On the way back, the hotel took us to Port Denarau for 25 Fijian dollars. One thing to note is that there are only bath towels in the room. I recommend bringing amenities such as a hair dryer and shampoo. Also, a 25 Fijian dollar deposit is taken at check-in, so you need to have the cash for that amount.

It was clean, spacious living area, full kitchen facilities, AC and ceiling fans in bedroom & living area & laundry facilities. Bathroom was tiny, with window (no exhaust fan), 24hr hot water with good pressure. Tea & coffee was provided but no bottled water. There are security grills & fly nets on all windows & doors. Main entrance gate to property is remote operated provided with key. No signage at the property with its name. The property manager provided the contact for good taxi driver. There is a burger king & few restaurants within 5 min walk. Shopping mall 10 min walk with supermarket, local bus stop, taxi stand, restaurants and other shops. If you book cultural village tour or island cruise, shuttle pick-up will be at the shopping mall area.

The one bedroom had all I needed and more. Comfortable big bed, huge shower. A full kitchen with all the essentials so I could cook my own meals. It is big and open plan apartment. A big TV in the lounge and bedroom. Everything was super clean and shiny. The washing machine was an essential and greatly appreciated. All the staff were just lovely, friendly and helpful. There is a security guard on site after hours. So you always felt safe. Secure parking on the premise behind lock gate….so my car was always secure. I really enjoyed my stay. It was quiet and secure. Great swimming pool. Shops walking distance.

Helpful, happy and friendly staff who were there to greet us when we arrived on the complimentary shuttle bus that picked us up from the airport. Our room was clean and comfortable with plenty of room for the 3 of us. Very good air-conditioning. Beautiful gardens and surroundings throughout the whole place. Good breakfast provided and the dinner menu had a good selection and we enjoyed our meals. The restaurant staff were excellent. Happy, cheerful, and quick service. The pool was clean with plenty of areas to sit and relax or have a refreshing swim. The front desk were happy to call a taxi if needed.

The hotel room is quite unsatisfactory, the area is sufficient, but the facilities are very basic; the pots and bowls are the most basic. . This price is also OK. . The most speechless thing is the surrounding environment, next door is a chicken roll, the big cock starts to croak at three o'clock in the middle of the night, all day. . The occasional plane noise is also very loud. . Anyway, it is basically impossible to have a good rest. . The aunt who cleans the hotel will also help you with the whole thing; I am used to putting things outside, afraid that I will forget to collect them when I leave them in the cabinet. . This aunt was very cute, and she didn't tell me a word when I received all my things in the cabinet, which made me look for things the night before I checked out. . Of course, this is kind, not a disadvantage. .

I had booked the family apartment few weeks ago to attend my nephew’s engagement party 5 mins away at Bates cafe. Initially I loved the set up, space and first impression until night time when we returned from the party to sleep. The room that my mum was sleeping had bed bug on the duvet and we later on we could see blood stains on the bed sheet overhang. Mum had already got bitten by the bed bug and had allergic reaction for few days. Both mum and I are allergic to bed bugs and specially me. Therefore, I couldn’t risk sleeping on the bed. I had to move into the other room with another family. I was trying to reach the room service for some more bed sheets but couldn’t at that time of the night. While checking out I had speaking raised my concern and I was told by the checkout lady that they had fumigated just last week. That’s beside the point, we shouldn’t be paying to be bitten by bed bugs.

I cannot praise the service level here enough. The staff was extremely accommodating, warm, friendly, and always willing to lend a hand. I felt right at home. The staff knew I was exhausted the day I arrived. The next morning, when they didn’t see me as breakfast was about to end, I received a wake-up call so I wouldn’t miss it. Breakfast was limited, but dinner was good. Excellent service.

In my case, neighbors started talking without a silence from 6-7 morning and I couldn't go to sleep anymore. The second point is the place is far from the road, shops, cafes or something. The option is just to stay and leave.

Very close to the airport, very convenient, there is a detailed shuttle bus schedule according to the flight departure time ~ the service is very good, and the staff are very friendly. The band on Saturday was especially great! The food is also delicious. Nice hotel.

The toilet in the room wasn't flushed or hadn't been flushed properly. The landlord said I was wrong (he thought I meant a green liquid), but actually he was wrong; it wasn't green liquid, otherwise I wouldn't have had to brush my teeth in the outside bathroom the next day. (I only discovered the toilet problem when I got up to use the bathroom the next day, then went back to sleep, so I didn't take a picture. Later, I was busy checking out and didn't take any more pictures. I washed up outside the bathroom the first night, so I only noticed it the next day. I flushed twice but it wouldn't flush, so I had to use the outside bathroom). Aside from this one issue, which the landlord seemed unaware of, he resolved all the other problems he could. And since we were all Chinese, he allowed me to check out an hour or two late (all the Fijian apartments I've stayed in so far have required check-out before 11 pm), so he's a good landlord. The hygiene issue was probably due to him being in a remote location and not being aware of the situation, or his cleaning staff not thoroughly checking the toilet… these are probably issues that can be improved. In other words, this apartment could potentially be a perfect place for Chinese tourists visiting Fiji in the future.

The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the hotel has a great location—right by the beach, perfect for enjoying beautiful sunsets. There's also a convenient store nearby with a restaurant upstairs that serves delicious food. Our deluxe room was clean but near the main entrance so a bit noisy at times. The only downside was the bathroom. The shower took a long time to produce hot water, resulting in wasted water and often uncomfortably cold showers. The water pressure was also quite low. Additionally, there was no shelf near the sink to place toiletries like toothpaste, which made things a bit inconvenient.

Overall, the stay was just okay for a short period. The staff were friendly, but the facilities are clearly old and worn out – they really need urgent investment. The bathroom, unfortunately, was a disaster: a simple plastic seat, loose fixtures, and only hand soap. On the positive side: the pool was fine, the people were nice, and the food offered some variety. There are alternatives right outside the hotel, so you're not dependent on it. Conclusion: For a short overnight stay of up to two days – for example, upon arrival or departure – the hotel is acceptable. It's not recommended for longer stays.

I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but I feel compelled to share my experience in the hope that it encourages some improvements. Unfortunately, my stay at Nalagi Hotel was far below my expectations. From the moment I checked in, the experience got off to a disappointing start. The front desk attendant was cold and unwelcoming, never made eye contact, and didn’t smile once. She appeared annoyed to be there, which was a stark contrast to the genuine warmth and hospitality I experienced at other hotels in Nadi during this trip. The room was spacious, but it lacked thoughtful design and attention to detail. The main light switch is inconveniently located below the television, with no bedside lamps or nightstands, meaning that if you wanted to read in bed or simply turn the lights off, you had to get up each time. There was also a persistent unpleasant odor coming from the bathroom drain, and overall cleanliness and maintenance left much to be desired. The hotel feels worn and tired, as though very little care has gone into its upkeep. That’s perhaps the biggest disappointment, because the property has so much potential that simply isn’t being realized. The final straw came on my second night. I was repeatedly woken between 1:00 and 2:00 a.m. by neighboring guests who were aggressively banging on a nearby door so loudly it sounded as though they were trying to break it down. Once they eventually got into the room, the noise continued. I called reception to report the disturbance and was told security would be sent, but if they did come, it had little effect. Eventually, I had to get out of bed and ask the guests myself to keep the noise down. I genuinely wanted to enjoy my stay, but the combination of poor service, lack of maintenance, hygiene concerns, and the handling of the late-night disturbance made for a very disappointing experience. With better management, staff training, and investment in the property, Nalagi Hotel could be a wonderful place to stay. Sadly, that was not my experience.

The place is a building site at the moment with a lot of noise (such as drilling…!!)They also have the biggest gym you have ever seen?? with nobody in it. They also cramped some ugly looking “cricket pitch “ in the outdoor area” next to the pool. So when you sit for breakfast, you sit between a busy road and an ugly green fence. Such a shame as the staff is so lovely and if you get a good deal on the room… I would get it (but book for an upstairs room to avoid the noise).
