This hotel was lovely! We have stayed at many hotels in Boston and it is always overpriced. This hotel was reasonably priced (for Boston) and was in a beautiful location right on Newbury St among all the shops and a block away from Copley square. It was also very close to the T allowing for quick travel to various locations. The king room with bay window was spacious and clean. The view onto Newbury made you feel like you lived in Boston. Also, there were some tasty cookies in the lobby. We would definitely stay here again.

Before I booked this place, I wanted to experience the atmosphere of the school club, and overall I was very satisfied. Because the flight arrived too early, I stayed in the cold wind at the door for half an hour at six o'clock. The chef came to work and opened the door for me to enter. Fortunately, there was coffee and cookies. Then I was very lucky that the room that I was supposed to check in at 3pm was checked into my room at 8:30pm! ! The bed and pillows were very, very comfortable! ! Although the room is not big and the bathroom is in the corridor, there are only 12 rooms in the entire hotel, so it is very quiet and no one is disturbed. I stayed still and didn’t want to go out. This club used to be an all-girls college, so the old ladies I saw playing mahjong the next day were all students from the previous school. The only thing that didn't feel good was that there was a restroom next to the restaurant. Maybe it was because of the sewers, so there was a bit of a smell near the restroom.

I stayed at the Oasis Guest House for a couple of nights in early July. I had booked a 1 person shared bathroom room but was upgraded to an ensuite room. I loved staying at the Oasis Guest House. There's something very comforting about seeing the same faces at the front desk every day. Being able to have a friendly chat with them about the neighborhood as you come home or head out. Staying in a place that blends into the neighborhood rather than seeking to dominate it. Boston is a very walkable city with great public transportation options and the Oasis Guest House is well situated to let you head out and explore the city. The property is centrally air conditioned and kept at a comfortable temperature. There was also a small fan in the room which I didn't need but was nice to have on hand. There was also a spare blanket in the dresser which I didn't need but was nice to have on hand. The room was not large but was perfectly comfortable and a very relaxing place to return to after a day of walking around the city. The bathroom was very clean. The shower space was a bit tight but worked well. I will definitely be returning to the Oasis Guest House on my next trip to Boston.

More like a family hotel, the design of the house is very characteristic, very warm, the room is small, breakfast is very close to Harvard, can walk, but the parking space is very small, we went late, parked in a parking space Location, I originally wanted to park the hotel the next morning, go to Harvard, but the hotel said that the location of our car is not good, we have to leave when we check out. As a result, we are looking for parking lots everywhere. It is very expensive and the parking fee is very expensive. Generally enjoyed our stay here, although the place has a few quirks. The location is great (quiet neighborhood, 5 min walk to the T and Davis Sq) and we enjoyed the outdoor seating areas. Breakfast was fairly basic but did the job. We hardly saw the hosts, and it didn't seem to be the kind of B&B where you receive a personal welcome or make lots of small talk with the owners. It seemed to be easier to reach them via email (which was answered promptly) than to find them in person. The bed was comfortable and we enjoyed being able to open the windows for fresh air. Internet worked well and we enjoyed meeting the resident cat. Our room was fairly tidy but despite the b&b being described as ”ultra-clean” we found long hairs on the shower wall and a dried up cookie on the carpet by the nightstand. Not deal breakers, but the room could've been cleaned better. The website could also be updated to show more current images and room descriptions. For example. there was no ”antique secretary” in our room, just a basic desk, and less floor space than depicted in the photos due to other furniture now being in the room (larger chair, fridge, etc). The closet now had a curtain rather than a door. We heard quite a bit of noise from the neighboring room (talking, coughing, child crying) but guess that is to be expected in a house. Overall, a convenient and comfortable place to stay, but could use a little freshening up and may not be to everyone's taste.
