The water pressure in the shower is good.
You can't flush the toilet paper.
The walls of the rooms are thin so you can hear the people next door taking a shower!
This time, the people next door were foreigners and they were making noise until late at night, so it was very noisy.
I think it would be a good room if the people next door were quiet.

|1.06km from city centerthe comfiest budget hostel i ever booked. there is a lift in second floor in other side. the room is convinient for my solo experience. the hostel is located 500m near the namsan cable car, so the road is bit uphill. also if you take subway to commute, and bring the huge luggage you can take a lift by exit in number 1 myeongdong subway station
for the muslim traveler, the space is enough for you to do prayer, near the subway station you cand find halal restaurant 'mari meokja'

It is centrally located and very easy to get to from public transport. There are so many great places to visit and eat at within walking distance.
The hostel itself is warm, clean and inviting. There is a nice breakfast and coffee each morning and Tommy and his staff are always willing to give you great recommendations for activities and places to visit.
There is a laundry and other useful things to make your time even more comfortable.
I can't wait to visit again soon.

|1.32km from city centerPrice includes breakfast but there was NO breakfast. NO bottled water in the rooms. NO toothpaste , NO lotion , NO toothbrush. Rules : NO eating in the room(communal kitchen is on 5th floor with no elevator) , NO makeup on towels or bedding or you will be fined. NO food/drinks in the mini fridge. NO shoes in the hotel, take them out and leave them by door. NO chair to sit on on second floor when you are doing this taking off and on of shoes. Bathroom is a shotlet so water kinda gets all over but is big enough. NO body towel, only face towels.
Pro: there was an electric blanket for the cold winter, there was also a heater in the room. Host is nice.

The front desk area comes with free water and coffee and also other amenities such as adaptors for the plugs in Korea (as they’re different), iron, flat iron, hair dryer, microwave amongst other things. The room was very clean and the service was great. The staff is very friendly. You should dispose of your trash but that’s no issue and you can also ask for a room cleaning every couple days. The room was small but once you organise your things it’s not bad. Great hostel for the price. Would book this place again.

There are plenty of 24/7 shops where you could buy food or snacks and charge your transport card.

I love it that they provide simple breakfast (if you’re a light breakfast kinda person). However, as with some other reviews, the toilet/sewage smell is unavoidable. The location is fantastic: a convenience store is right nearby, and a pedestrian street and bus pick-up point are just across the road. Large mezzanine room with queen sized bed, pull out queen bed underneath and 4 single beds above. Right at the steps of Hongik Uni Exit 1. No Netflix, just Korean TV. Lovely electric blanket. Washing machine, heater, fan, fridge and cooking amenities. Keypad entrance so can self check in. The bathroom shower tiling is a little run down, the shower is warm but not hot hot.
I booked last minute as a solo traveller not knowing the city and paid a pretty price for the location, should have researched more and saved some money staying in Sinchon or other surrounding areas. Nothing to do with the accommodation, that was my own error. However, if you want to be right in the heartbeat of Hongdae with multiple guests this is your place. I enjoyed my stay.

For one night, it was enough. There was a shared kitchen, refrigerator, water server, etc. on the roof.
The room only had the bare necessities, and it felt like a typical guesthouse. It was small, so I think it would be difficult to bring two large trunks.
There were several desks in the hallway that you could use on your futon.
When checking in, you just took your key from the basket, and when checking out, you just put the key back!
You could leave your trunk there! However, you had to leave it in a row in the hallway, so if you're worried about security, I recommend using the lockers at Hongdae.
The manager and the cleaning lady were very polite and kind!

If you look at the exterior of the accommodation, the building may be old and scary, but once inside, it's a nice place to sleep.
The unfortunate thing is that there is no separate front desk, so you have to call the owner to check in directly.
The owner is very kind and explains things well over the phone and also leaves a text message.
Things like water and refrigerators are available for public use, so you have to go out and get them, which is a bit inconvenient, but there are also things like towels there, so you can bring them.
It seemed like the soundproofing wasn't very good, and it was a place that was used a lot by foreigners.
It seemed like we were the only Koreans.
This is a decent accommodation for those who just want to sleep cheaply.

|9.43km from city centerGreat deal at $127 per night for a double room suite and fairly big. There is no hotel attendant. They just email you the door passcode at 1pm the day you arrive. It is a self service apartment hotel. The only drawback is the second room has a folded mattress. You have to unfold it and pretty much sleep on the floor. Why don’t they just spend a little more money to put a bed frame there. It was hard to get up from the floor. The first room has a bed. The suite has a washer but no dryer. We have to dry our clothes in hangers and that was bad. Why don’t they get a combo washer/dryer. All the washer and thermostat control are in Korean and it was hard for non-Korean know how to operate. I used Google Translate to figured out how to adjust the temperature and how to operate the washing machine. It is otherwise a great deal for a family to stay. I took almost all Uber anywhere and Uber Taxi come up to the door in less than 5 minutes and Uber is cheaper in Korea. We went to most places for just $10 to $15 in Seoul. We didn’t even bother to take the subway.

If you come from the airport, just exit from Hongdae Station and walk up and down the classic Korean Road. It's quite hard and takes ten minutes. But if you don't have luggage to go out, you can get to Hongdae Station, Sinchon Station, and Seogang University Station in a few minutes. There is a Hyundai Department Store nearby, and there are a lot of food and people on the -1 floor. There is also a big emart, which has a lot of things and is cheaper than a convenience store~
