From booking the hotel to checking out, every staff member received us patiently and enthusiastically, provided us with delicious snacks, and also prepared detailed travel guides for us. The hotel has good internal facilities and beautiful environment. My favorite is the lawn at night, it’s a great place to relax and chat. The swimming pool is also perfect for this summer. This October trip, I found Xingsheng B&B in Yilong, and other B&Bs in this price range were basically booked. Let me talk about the advantages first. The location of the homestay is very good. It is a newly developed homestay. It is near the Nineteen Peaks and it is very convenient to go to the scenic spots. The air is also very good. The owner is a family of three, all of whom are nice and enthusiastic, like long-lost friends. We saw their own sweet potatoes, so we asked them if they could give us some. The lady boss agreed. We were very happy. The next morning, a bowl of pickled pork noodles cost 15 yuan, which was really expensive. , And discussed with the proprietress again, she also agreed to see if it could be 10 yuan a bowl. The lady boss is really good at talking. Next, let’s talk about the shortcomings. As soon as we entered the room, the first feeling was that it was very crowded. We ordered a family room and the bedside was gray. I wiped it all myself. The edge of the toilet in the bathroom was not clean, so I flushed with the faucet. The only toiletries in it are toothpaste, toothbrush, shampoo, shower gel, comb. The comb is not disposable, and everything else is gone. If it is not National Day, the price of 300 yuan is really not worth it! Dinner was also eaten at the homestay, because there are no other restaurants nearby. We bought a chicken and made soup chicken. We didn’t expect to bring it to eat a few pieces, but there were a lot of chicken feathers that were not plucked out, and the layer of chicken feet was yellow. I didn't pull the skin off, and I suddenly felt disgusting! Maybe the boss just started a homestay, and there were too many people during the National Day holiday, and they couldn't be too busy all of a sudden. I hope that the homestay will improve in the areas where it is lacking in the future, and the good places will continue to be maintained. This is my true feelings about the homestay.

I have booked a King room with Forest View for 2 nights and decided to add another night but the same room was not available, So I booked the additional night in the premium category. I called the property the day before and was told she may find a way so that we don't have to change our room. When we checked in around 9pm, they left a key to our room on the 3rd floor. This room is the least expensive room where there is only a very small window and it's half covered with eaves of the roof. It was so dark that you cannot read unless you turn the lights on during the day. The next morning, I asked the manager, Susan, we would like the room we booked for or there should be a refund for the rate difference. I was then told we booked through the third party booking site not their own website and we have a heavily discounted price. I really did not see that much difference between what we paid and their website rate. She said then she can waive the service fee of $15 per day additional service fee. I did not see that anywhere in the website. I only saw the handwritten note at the check-in area. She said there is no adjustment whatsoever because we got the cheap rate. All I asked was to get the room categories we booked and deserved. Her answer was I can check out if I was not happy. I made all the travel plans based on staying in the area. This is totally ”Bait and Switch” and her attitude was very unprofessional. We have extensive good experiences at Air BNB, etc. This is one property we were treated poorly. The property is old and needs some attention but overall, it was OK and the breakfast was fairly good and the guy in the kitchen was very helpful. The management left us with bad taste and I will not go back to the property.
