There is a stunning view of the Richmond waterfalls from the castle and the River Swale, which is also just 5 minutes from the cottage. From the waterfalls, you can turn left and you can take a lovely stroll along the river to the ruins of Easby Abbey, which was founded in 1152 and was a subject of the British artist JMW Turner. Me and my boyfriend stayed at Tan Hill for one night on 28th Dec and absolutely loved the experience. It was our first time there and we had heard great things about the place. It definitely lived up to our expectations! Rooms were very cosy, loved the decor and the extra touches such as bottles of water and biscuits for the tea in the room. The staff did really well considering how busy the place was and they were more than happy to help. We enjoyed both our two course evening meal and our breakfast in the morning. As well as the inside of the place, the drive up and surrounding area is lovely (especially as it was snowing when we went). Me and my boyfriend stayed at Tan Hill for one night on 28th Dec and absolutely loved the experience. It was our first time there and we had heard great things about the place. It definitely lived up to our expectations! Rooms were very cosy, loved the decor and the extra touches such as bottles of water and biscuits for the tea in the room. The staff did really well considering how busy the place was and they were more than happy to help. We enjoyed both our two course evening meal and our breakfast in the morning. As well as the inside of the place, the drive up and surrounding area is lovely (especially as it was snowing when we went). We would really like to make staying here a regular thing when we go back to normality and would like to try the camping in the summer months.FromCAD 242
