Hotel has a 360 degree and you can see whole of Surabaya! Spectacular.

Another big mall, local BG Junction is around 10 mins away.
Location is good ! Including eateries nearby.

Our 2nd time staying here. The room is very spacious with this rate. Startegic location as well as it's exactly in front of Taman Bungkul, with lots of culinary spot on weekend. The room is equipped with microwave & minibar too.

Booked the hotel for one night as a stop over place when arriving in Indonesia. I arrived by taxi, and the next day caught the train. I chose this hotel due to the location near the train station. It was easy for me to walk to the train station, though the traffic is very busy and not always stable footpaths - it was ok for me as I had a backpack though would not be very walkable for someone with bigger luggage. I stayed again for one night when returning by train, then flying out of the country. Hotel was nice, staff friendly. On my first night I arrived late in the evening and was able to get vegetarian food from room service. On my 2nd night I ate out in the shopping mall that is located next to the hotel. The room is clean and comfortable. I appreciated the fact that there was a bath tub. Also, I liked that there were no plastic bottles of water; each room has a jug and you get water from the dispenser in the corridor. I did not have time to try out the swimming pool. The restaurant has a morning breakfast buffet with a selection of Asian and Western style food options, including having some items made to order...you can fill up for the day.FromSGD 24

It’s a decent hotel located in center of Surabaya near to Tunjungan Plaza and Jalan Tunjungan. The room is very standard to everything one person need for few nights stay… nothing fancy. I was assigned room with amazing view from 6th floor. The room is clean and neat and I love that they have smart TV. Wifi is pretty fast and reliable too. One thing for improvement is foul smell on the hallway. I think it’s due to the aging building. However, staffs clean the hallway carpet regularly. Was offered and took the upsell to one tier above what I paid for. Overall stay was pleasant with good service, though the breakfast buffet felt it could have sourced better fresh produce suppliers in some parts like vegetables, dairy, and carbs. The pastry section was really good and the coffee was also good. Last but not least, the swimming pool had a couple of caterpillars near the greens and makeshift waterfall feature. We had booked 2 twin rooms,and checked in around 7pm after along drive and were looking forward to cooling down and having a nice shower. However,the air conditioning & small refrigerator did not work in both rooms! Some maintenance staff arrived but could not repair the A/C & fridge. Eventually front desk arranged for us to change rooms which were OK, but by this time we were very hungry and had ordered some room service food. We also requested staff to check out the new rooms before we move. So by the time we moved to the new rooms, it was almost 10pm?
My big complaint is that the hotel obviously never properly checked the first 2 rooms before allocating them to clients. Surely, this should be standard procedure for Maintenance Dept. & Housekeeping ??

Good experience overall. Room is spacious with all the amenities for a trip. The only issue was that the toilet had a lingering foul smell. The stench was quite bad on the first day, but the staff we contacted at night managed to apply some disinfecting spray which got rid/masked the smell. Warm, friendly staff who gave good and practical advice about the protests and safety, much appreciated . Housekeeping was impeccable and thoughtful and really prompt with adhoc requests.
Rooms are large (size norms from a different time) and the mix of analog vintage features and updated features is charming. Clear and strong WIFI , clean rooms especially for tropical setting
The buffet spread is excellent quality, clean and a good mix of delicious local and international continental options.
The spa is lovely, though service can vary - I had a lovely therapist and my friend’s therapist was using her phone during the session (which is not acceptable at any massage place, what more at this spot) incongruous with the very high service and hospitality standards set by the rest of the staff.

The Westin Surabaya is an amazing hotel, conveniently located right at Pakuwon Mall, making it incredibly easy to access everything you need. The décor is modern and well-maintained, and the rooms are reasonably sized, spotless, and comfortable.
What stood out the most was the exceptional service. The staff were incredibly caring and responsive, especially toward my toddler, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The kids club was a highlight of our trip—my toddler loved visiting it multiple times, giving us parents some much-needed breaks.
If I could suggest one improvement, it would be to extend the kids club hours into the evening, as it would provide even more flexibility for families.

The Hotel have not been up grade since took over from HYATT. The table lamp is not working, chairs are dirty and upholstery are stained. TV is small and limited programs. Since April, this hotel is my go to Hotel for Surabaya trip.
Been more than 4 times.
Everything ok as usual, but the coffee machine wasnt working well this last 2 months.
Downgrade on amenities due coffee brand and mineral water brand 😌 can’t brag about the hotel more to my colleagues. BUT the snack in the room are for free! 2 snacks and 1 instant noodle, just found out on our last night.
Ow, surprisingly they gave me a thank you cake?

The restaurant on rooftop, food quality not really good - lack of flavor and dry chickens, limited menu, so its all need to be improved, price wise OK.
