Taiping Resorts

A hostel with character! I look forward to staying there again. Great location. Within walking distance to places of interest, KTM train station, bus station, Taiping shopping centre and eating places. Lin who took care of my check in and check out was efficient and helpful. She provided a link for me to book bus ticket to JB when trains were full. She also recommended me places to go outside of Taiping. She stored my left luggage and released it to me without my having to ask. The only drawback is the opening and closing timing of the hostel. Because there are fast food places and the shopping centre, there are places you can wait in aircon comfort after the hostel closes.

Service was seamless and daily housekeeping are up to standards with amenities top up fully always. Location was good with variety of food outlets and food courts around. Directly connected with Taiping Mall for easier access to shops. Located near Taiping Lake which takes about 10 mins of walk. Hotel has a swimming pool / kids pool and free access to gym, The only downside I felt, thou carpark is free for hotel guests, it is located at level 6. Everytime to move out from carpark, have to head to Ground level counter to authorise the parking ticket before driving out. Hence, it took a while and delay in moving off. Other than that, I have no bad experiences with the stay.

Been staying at this hotel at least 2nd or 3rd time. Truly value for money with all the basics and large room. Just some of the furniture a bit dated and Aircon thermostat might not be stable.

After i checked in i noticed a chinese guy didn't wear clothes beside my room going down to living hall.When i back from dinner i saw one indian guy sitting infront the house, then i called to reception known the night have indian, Malay guy stay in the house.Finally i decided stay overnight in my friend house.If you are female not recommend this house feel insecurity. I would come back here again.

The building is old, and our triple room felt quite out of the way. The bathroom door was dilapidated and really should have been replaced. The window blinds were jammed, and we were 'healing' (relaxing) with a view of the cemetery... a rather sobering experience! And considering how easily spooked we are, imagine that! 🤣 We heard all sorts of noises that night, but tired as we were, we just slept through it. Our bodies were exhausted from the long drive, the mattress was just okay, and the ironing board was bent out of shape. An iron was provided, but it was an outdated model. The pool water felt suspiciously like children had peed in it; it desperately needs daily cleaning. In the photos, one side looked clean, but the other was genuinely murky. However, all the receptionists were incredibly friendly. Keep up the excellent service, folks! Many thanks.
