Only go to this hotel if you have children… it’s catered for them … the entertainment was either very late for adults Or non existent. The food was definitely for the British … not haute cuisine but there wasn’t a day when we couldn’t find something we liked. Without doubt the staff should be congratulated as they were ALL excellent in every department… the bar staff remembered every drink without fault… amazing. The reception staff were always happy and the restaurant staff worked extremely well as a team.. fair play to the cleaning staff especially the rooms were immaculate. The hotel was kept very clean throughout and was very comfortable with large rooms. Overall opinion… this is a great place fr families… disappointed that people didn’t dress up … it’s not that kind of hotel. Excellent if you want to go to the Benidorm Palace as it’s exactly opposite the hotel. You need to be avid walkers to get into the main part of Benidorm or hire taxis or as a lot of people did … rent a Madge Mobile

We booked this hotel for 23rd December for a week full board . The food was lovley. restaurant area was very clean... clean fresh towels most days . Staff were very helpful and friendly . Xmas Dinner was really nice and free wine to go with it. The hotel was lovley and clean. We so enjoyed our stay. Only bad point was the bed was hard. But you can't please everyone with regards to beds. What a great week we spent here. 20 mins from the beach. And dead opposite benidorm Palace. I will definatly be back.

Stayed for 5 nights celebrating my sons 21st b'day, checkin was really quick, the room was really nice and clean, nice toilet/shower room. I would say majority of guests were elderly spanish but was still plenty of english, could not fault the food at all, especially the breakfast, cooked breakfast every day to soak up the alcohol, would definitely stay again, nice and quiet and only a 25 min walk or so to the main ***** and 10 mins or so to sea front.

This is a very beautiful hotel, the gardens and pool areas are truly spectacular, however….. There is minimal service at the pools, it is difficult to get a drink and impossible to get any food or snacks which is a great shame as they could capitalise on this. Instead you are charged for changing your pool towel during the day €2 I believe which is pointless and only makes the customer angry at the meanness of such an expensive hotel. The pools are not heated - even the heated pool doesn’t feel heated. Although there are many restaurants they are not open every day - usually only one or two are open so it’s not quite the choice it appears. The quality of the food is poor and greatly overpriced. At the Italian restaurant the food was very poor except for the Mille Fueille dessert which was incredible - the pastry and the presentation were stunning. The main restaurant at the weekends is so overcrowded, it’s impossible to even get a pot of coffee as there are not enough staff. The room itself was the lowest available and perfect with a small garden. There wasn’t any milk for a cup of tea which would improve the stay for me anyway. I would like to say that one particular chap at the adult pool (at the bottom right of the gardens) he worked so hard all day keeping the beds, parasols and towels in order, keeping his customers happy - he was very conscientious about his job and really should be recognised for this. He worked Saturday and Sunday until around 4pm (that was 02/10/22) I would go back because the grounds and hotel in general are a treat for the eye but I would eat out elsewhere unless the prices are greatly reduced. Don’t be put off but be aware of a few faults which could be easily mended.

Asia gardens is a rare property to find in Spain. It's like a cruise but without the boat and the sea. Probably was designed to be an all-inclusive resort that now offers rooms with no board. The front desk personnel are very friendly and very helpful. We had no trouble checking in and our daughter room was changed because of noise without any type of problem. Also, we received a discount since our room was supposed to have a view but the trees have grown so much that they block the view completely. As many of this all inclusive places, the food is good at the buffet. They have specialty restaurants which provide a limited selection just like in a cruise. The gardens, pools and scenery is very nice. Gardens are manicured to perfection. Great for walks (weather permitting) rather than the gym. The bar is also a great place to have a drink; servers are very friendly and drinks are well served. It's close to Alicante which offers a great day for shopping and eating. Not a bad alternative for families. Not a cheap alternative either. If you're using the SPA services, be sure to book in advance. We tried to book when we arrived and even though the hotel was around 45% occupancy there were no sessions available for our arrival day neither next day.

The hotel environment and location are great! It is close to the seaside and has beautiful scenery; the hotel is first-rate in hygiene and has rich breakfast and dinner; the hotel staff are friendly and provide enthusiastic service. I chose a sea view room. The room is spacious and bright, elegantly decorated and fully equipped. It is the best choice for watching the sunrise over the sea.

Reviews From Real Travelers
We travelled as a family of 4, 2 adults and 2 children ages 7 and 4. We stayed the last week of the August UK school holidays. We chose this hotel as we are fans of the Melia chain. Whilst looking we found the hotel available as part of Jet2 holidays and this worked out the cheapest way for us to book. In summary we had a fantastic stay, and the hotel was everything you would expect of a 4-star hotel, just so good. For us though, the kids club staff (who also doubled up as part of the evening entertainment team some nights) were just so much fun, they were great with the kids but also just gave the hotel a generally good friendly vibe- top marks to them all. Now some other points in detail:- Pros - We were the first transfer drop off from the airport and it was a relatively short transfer time of approximately 40 minutes. - Hotel never felt overly busy despite it being August. There were busy spells during peak dining times but only short queues. At some points we had the pool to ourselves. Plenty of sun loungers and parasols available at all times. -the energy and enthusiasm of the Kids Club staff we found to be excellent. Although the activities are mainly in Spanish the staff tried hard to include our children by translating game instructions into English. There is a good programme of events for children - slime making, T-Shirt design, pool inflatables, mini disco etc. parents are able to stay with the children for a session or sign them in and out for the hour and a half. Should the management read this then perhaps they could include English clues in the pirate treasure hunt as this would also have helped to improve their experience at little cost. - the pool and evening entertainment team. My husband and I enjoyed the daily programme of exercises which had a great vibe. As a family we enjoyed the evening shows especially the Grand Circus which was Greatest Showman based and Mamma Mia. Con - Unfortunate first impressions. After an early start and a long day of travel to be greeted by a long queue at check in and only 2 staffed points was a disappointment. We waited for about 30 minutes and we were lucky enough to have joined the queue when it was fairly small. I feel this could have been easily resolved by a third member of staff ‘working the queue’, this person could explain the activity timetable and map of the resort which seemed to be adding to the length of time needed to check in. After our wait we were told that our room was not even ready and to wait for a call from check in or return at the check in time of 4pm. With children flailing we wearily returned to check in at 3:00 having had no call to be told we could check in so perhaps our call had been missed. I’m just glad we didn’t wait until 4pm! - if you are on half board it is worth noting that breakfast finishes at 10:30am and the evening meal isn’t until 8pm. There is an ice cream parlour open and a couple of other restaurants should you wish to pay for lunch. Full and half

We thought of the Villaitana as our favourite hotel ever when we visited it exactly 8 years ago, with our two children who were 7 and 3 years old at the time. With that memory in mind we have revisited together again now and are sad to see why it has dropped a star. Queues at mealtimes: The time windows for meals are too tight and there are also long queues for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The process of seating seems to be inefficient and slow i.e. an individual member of restaurant staff has to greet each guest group, tick them off on a printed list and personally take them to an empty table. Meanwhile there are empty tables waiting unused or not laid. Perhaps there is some understaffing, but by contrast at other hotels one member of staff is dedicated to checking off guests electronically using the room key or wristband, and there is another member in each zone of the restaurant to show guests to tables, which saves on a lot of staff walking trips. The food: The comprehensive salad bar was always a delight but what happened to the olives? Are olives too expensive for the Villaitana to afford now? The general quailty of the food is still good including freshly squeezed orange juice at breakfast, the meat and fish grills, breads, cheeses and embutido but the range is poor in areas compared with the competition. For example some of the international themed dishes are quite poor and it's a poor showing of rice for a region that specialises in amazing arroces. The resort: Although the expansive layout of the resort is still as impressive as it was, it is not being maintained to the standard it was. Although well extended the white paint on the wooden floor, frame and canopy of the original wooden outdoor dining area is peeling everywhere. The stone pathways have loose broken stones and there are black water stains down the walls eveywhere there are drainage spouts on the external walls. A lot of investment seems to have gone into building football pitches between the golf course and resort but because we don't use those facilities we couldn't comment on them. Pool - not enough sun loungers/broken umbrellas: There were never enough sun loungers but even despite a new pool with play area being added the situation is even worse than before. There are far too few umbrellas for the number of sun loungers but there are also hardly any trees around the new pool which would not only provide more shade but also make the new area more inviting. Some umbrellas are poor quality and in some cases broken. We reported that we had a broken umbrella and were told that the maintenance team would fix it but the broken umbrella is still there with sharp, broken tubes just left lying around on the ground. Clearly no one cares much about the sun lounging equipment which we believe is a critical part of everyone's holiday experience. Entertainment: Apart from what looks like quite an active and engaged kids club team, the evening entertainment seems average compa

We have gone several times , and last time in December 2021. spacious , modern , perfect for families...or couples with beautiful mirrors in the room .... Hyper spacious and modern bathroom . The hotel's buffet is of high quality with fresh and varied products (the only bemol in December with the covid you could not use by themselves, very disturbing ). Another small remark, while we select this hotel for its mini club and its infrastructure for the adolescents, the space was closed because privatized by a cyclist team, The hotel is very nice and the private massage pack with children is perfect.

Great hotel worth more than 4 stars. Large rooms, up to the points well-cared and equipped. Good and large bed. Beautiful bathroom with two showers and a large bedroom. Eating more than good. Delightful tasteful dishes. The fresh meat on the grill always of excellent quality and taste. For everybody wants. Beautiful facilities and friendly staff. We certainly come back!! Rooms are very noisy. A few minutes. The temperature in the buffet restaurant. Ice cold. We made a extra pull or thick scalp over our clothes because it was cold.
