Top 10 Tenderloin Hotels

We stayed March 15 to 17, 2023. Amanda was amazing, asked for an early check-in, she made sure we had it then followed up to make sure we were all set. I had a health medical emergency (hit the emergency button on the phone in the room) and the staff was at our door in one minute, and Tony from the front desk then ensured paramedics got to the room, then secured the room. Staff made sure my husband knew when he arrived later that night and then they followed up to make sure I was okay. This staff, all of them, Georgia? the housekeeper all work together to make sure our stay was excellent. Food is super delish too, and the manager in the restaurant is the best, making certain everyone is all set. THIS IS OUR FAVORITE property (we each are Hilton Diamond), stay here many times, but the extra care and follow-up is so appreciated and reflective of the management. The property is beautiful and quiet, and extremely well maintained.

I loved the way the room was out together/ it gave very homey feeling. Smelled really clean and nice. And dishes and silverware was already clean and everything. Love love love it

The good: Good location, lots of restaurants within walking distance or short drive. The rooms were clean, great price, and the breakfast had a good variety. The bad: The first night we were there the toilet wouldn't flush and the sink wouldnt drain, and it took a little bit of time for anyone to get up to fix it, ended up going to the bathroom after we left that morning. The kitchenette sink was gooey and discolored. The shower pressure was not very high. The AC worked, but in order to cool the whole room, the person sitting at the desk or on television couch had to freeze. There wasn't a lot of drawer storage in the room, but the closet was big. The TV auto turns off, which was annoying.

Breakfast is good, the hotel has a parking lot, there are many restaurants around

We booked a King Suite, Corner room in mid-August in order to attend an event at the Convention Center. We had mixed feelings about this hotel (this applies to this stay only as previous stays have been wonderful), so, I'll break it out between the good and the bad. The Good: - The room was spacious - The King corner suite was quiet. Unlike other hotels in the area, we were unable to hear other guests moving around or talking. Nor were we able to hear any noise from the hallways (unlike the Holiday Inn or the Azure). - It had two vanities (key when I travel with my daughter) - The room contained two refrigerators (great for storing waters and snacks) - A nice desk and small dining table were provided in the room; so, places to sit were plentiful. - There were two closets which was great (particularly when traveling with my daughter) - The bathroom had a LARGE spa tub and a walk-in shower. Both were very much appreciated as with my bad knee, I cannot easily use a shower/tub combo. - The hotel provided little shampoos, conditioners, lotions, etc. which were very nice. - The staff was very friendly - we interacted with the front desk, the lobby bar, the breakfast restaurant and the lobby Starbucks. Everyone was professional and friendly. - The food and drinks were very good (we ate at the lobby bar and the breakfast restaurant off of the lobby). - The restrooms off of the lobby were immaculate. The Bad: - The room's cleanliness left a bit to be desired and maid service was not provided during our stay (we checked in on a Thursday and didn't leave until Sunday). There were stains and drips on the wall paper and the carpeting felt sort of grimy. However, the bedding appeared very clean. - We were only provided with a 1/2 roll of toilet paper for our stay (two women). We actually had to call the front desk to be brought toilet paper. - The television had issues and kept reverting to the guest screen. - The bathtub's stopper would not stay in place. - The decor in the room was extremely outdated and the carpeting could only be described as YEECH! - The hotel entrances closest to our room were not disabled friendly (I have a bad knee / ankle and stairs can be an issue). To find an entrance that did not include a flight of stairs (not kidding), we had to park a considerable distance from our room. This was extremely disappointing in this day and age especially when I booked a room with a walk-in shower. - There was no ability to look at the charges from the room; nor was there an in-room checkout procedure. One needs to actually go down to the lobby, stand in line and wait. Technology is obviously not a priority at this hotel. - This is minor, but it would've been nice if there were electric charging stations for vehicles; particularly when they charge $15 per car per night. - There was only 1 tiny waste basket in the bathroom (none in the kitchen or bedroom area) and 1 tiny recycling basket (we do appreciate the recycling efforts) by

We stayed 7 days so we were able to assess over the long term. Check-in was a breeze and each of the front-desk staff was polite and friendly. They were helpful and accommodating no matter the reason for the encounter, including a successful dry cleaning job overnight. The hotel lobby, breakfast room and lobby were homey and clean. The room was more than comfortable and spacious. It was clean and well kept. The bed was comfortable. The air conditioner was upgraded and QUIET—imagine that!!! You are able to control its functions also! Such a concept!!! Laundry facilities, although expensive at $4 per 30 minute wash and $4 per 45 minute dry worked as expected and completely dried clothes in one 45 minute drying session. One suggestion is that the washer needs to have the rubber around the front door sanitized once a week by housekeeping or other such service. This would eliminate the odor in the washer. I used a 99% sanitizer in the washer for each load, which worked adequately. The housekeeping staff was also exemplary. They were accommodating to my every request and went out of their way to make sure adequate supplies were placed into the room without being asked. They were respectful of sleeping hours but seemed to always be nearby whenever I needed something, whether it be extra or clean towels or an unexpected bed change. In order to make it easier to go to Las Vegas the next day without traffic jams, it is far away in the suburbs. The overall is good. Gome Express Hotel is marked with a swimming pool. Breakfast is free.

This is a very nice hotel. The breakfast is really good and the entire hotel staff is terrific. The rooms are nice and have been cleaned well. The hotel amenities are good and well maintained. I would recommend staying here for business or pleasure.
