I stop here semi regular for work and it is always a pleasant experience. The staff are always top tier, friendly, helpful, good conversation. I cannot fault this hotel it’s location is perfect for the town centre and also to get back on to the motorway. One of the staff Kieran always has a smile on his face and greets everyone as if we are old time friends which is a nice touch. I had a query for him this past week regarding a future booking and he couldn’t do enough to help me and reassure with it. Great asset to the team If you are looking for an affordable comfortable hotel look no further than here. The beds are comfortable, room’s cozy, breakfast in the restaurant is always nice too.

The morning after the night before. It gives me great satisfaction to be able to pen a review of all things positive. Only a 1 night stop over en route to Scotland from Manchester. On arrival, front of house team Theo and Mel excelled. After a breeze of a check-in the first thing I noticed was the beautiful, spacious and most importantly clean Restaurant and bar area. Anybody staying here will not be disappointed. Thankfully dogs are welcome but kept away from main eating areas, a rule we were happy to adhere to. Theo in particular is a staff member Ibis/Accor should be extremely proud of. He was very knowledgeable about the chain and I could imagine all things Accor would be his specialised subject on Mastermind. I have stayed at the Travelodge down the rd and for a hotel of the same raring, the Ibis is streets ahead. I hope Management take the time to read this review and reward staff members (Accor)dingly. Well done!!!

Swimming pool still not open at the hotel. Smelt like done one had been smoking in the bathroom prior to our stay.

Fantastic venue for family gathering in this iconic historical place. The wedding suite was amazing .All the family rooms were brilliant. We were looked after by Margaret who was totally amazing. Margaret was like an additional family member brilliant sense of humour and so helpful ( can’t wait to see you again next year) Unless you bought your camper van. Another mention to Paul who looked after our reception and was helpful in making our day special. All the staff were friendly and attentive during our stay. I would definitely say to anyone thinking of using this venue “Book it now” .Wedding photos were exceptional piper Craig was amazing and church was brilliant small but intimate . Thanks to Sandy for a beautiful service.
