I stayed at the roadside station. It is an inn in a day trip hot spring. The front desk was bad, and even if I said the name, I tried to process it by mistake for different people, and I was asked to read the guide for the inn. I was given the locker key, but I didn't know which bath locker was with 2, and when I called, a different person came out and the response was not good. Also, I was told at check-in that I would call later because the restaurant was not decided, but the phone didn't come. After the meal time passed, the meal attendant came to call the room. The day trip hot spring was almost available alone, so it was not very busy with only a few groups of users. Also, although it was a plan that I should be able to watch the theater Kawaraza, I was told to watch the theater because there was no night party and I am doing it now, but I checked in at １５ and the theater was 12:30 Open from 30 After 15:00, customers came out and ended. Instead, I was given a bedrock bath ticket, but both of them did not use the bedrock bath, so it was wasted. I thought I should put the time of the play properly on the reservation site. I was looking forward to it, but I was disappointed because I couldn't see it. Also, the hot spring was only an open-air bath. The bath for guests in the indoor bath and the bedrock bath on the second floor are not hot springs. There were two open-air baths, which were large and the hot springs were light brown salty hot springs. What was disappointing in the bath was that I couldn't enter from 7 o'clock the next morning. Breakfast was from 8 o'clock, so I couldn't enter slowly in the morning. The room was already covered with futons. The room and washroom area were all barrier-free and clean rooms. Supper was the top Agano Gozen course (6600 yen if you ask for a single item). I had it in a Japanese-style room with only two sets, but except for rice miso soup dessert, everything was lined up on the table, including tempura. In terms of content, it was the standard content of the inn, such as sashimi and chawanmushi. It was good that the half body of the crab was processed easily to eat. It was a meal on tatami mats in a Japanese-style room, so it seemed to be painful for me. I ordered sake because it was 1680 yen for Kirinzan traditional dry 21 degrees (original sake 720cc). It was a delicious sake. Breakfast was served at the dining room of the day trip hot spring from 8 o'clock. It was set on the table from around 6:30. The side dishes were only small bowls with a very light taste, such as cherry blossoms, natto and seaweed. * and only rice can be replaced. Although the inn fee was high, there were too few side dishes. Yasuda's yogurt drink was served on the table with children. It seems that the breakfast for children was exactly the same as for adults. It seems that many people eat at this inn at the dining room of the day trip hot spring even if they stay. I feel that the cost performance is better. There was no hospitality and it was not a relaxing inn.

My family and travelled to Niigata at the end of April 2023 and had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Okura Niigata. Prior to the trip, I had reached out to them via email to inquire about coordinating a van + driver for us (6 of us) so that we could go visit some sake breweries and to make dinner reservations for us at a nearby restaurant. The concierge team was amazing and booked a large van (jumbo taxi) and driver for the day. they also ensured that the van could accommodate a folding wheelchair for one group member that needed it. The van and driver arrived on time and was quite reasonably priced. Great experience that was made possible by the hotel team! Upon return to the hotel, we realized we had left some items on the van - the hotel called the taxi company and coordinated the return of our items. Beyond these experiences, the hotel itself is a bit older but rooms are comfortable and fairly spacious for a hotel room in Japan. Location is great and the breakfast buffet was one of the better ones we had on this trip. If I should ever travel back to Niigata, I will most definitely be staying here. The hotel and team won my business by going above and beyond...even for Japan standards of customer service! Domo arigatogozaima****a!!!

The location is not far from the city center and it's easy to take a taxi. There is an observation room on the top floor of the hotel, which is a good choice to see the scenery of Niigata. The room was pretty good, in line with the usual standards of Hotel Nikko.

We stayed two nights at the JR East Hotel Mets at the Niigata station after arriving from Tokyo by Shinkansen. I think we exited to the western concourse and signs to hotel were easy enough to follow. The walkway enters level 3 of the hotel. Very conveniently, right next to a 7-Eleven. Also super convenient is the sake museum. Definitely must visit. Check-in was efficient and we were given rooms on the top floor (level 9). A rather basic room that has everything except for an in-room safe. No coffee (nor bottled water) was provided with the kettle but only tea. Not a problem as free coffee can be made in the waiting area next to the reception. Also in the reception area is where more bathroom amenities are provided. Only toothbrushes are in the room. The bath area in the room is large with a wash area and a stool like at the onsen along with a bathtub. That’s where a visit to the amenities area in reception comes in handy. Wifi was speedy enough for our needs. The convenient location was great for us as we arrived in the rain. There is plenty of choices for food and even shopping. Do explore around. We did buy day passes for the Niigata City Loop Bus (JPY500 per adult). Check-out was as efficient as check-in. While there wasn’t much of a view, the hotel was just right for us. Definitely worth considering

Stayed for １ night watching soccer. It is a little far from Niigata Station, but within walking distance. The surrounding area is comfortable for shopping and playing in the downtown area. It is also close to the bar. The hotel itself is old, but it is perfect with a chic design. It is enough to sleep in a single room. The restroom is also an old-fashioned washlet. Breakfast is buffet and you can enjoy Niigata local food. It is a hotel that I want to use next time.

We stayed in a twin room after renovation. It is widely used and satisfactory. Breakfast was also enough for free, and there were menus along the theme, salad and fruit. The location is a little walk to the station and it is less 々 far to Mandai, so it may be playing with the service. It was thankful for the child to put breakfast in the box and eat it in the room. The building and facilities were new and comfortable. Since the entrance is on the 1st floor and the front desk is on the 2nd floor, the elevator always stops once on the 2nd floor.

Location about 2 minutes walk from Mandai Guchi, Niigata Station. There is a convenience store on the 1 floor. I think it is a hotel with a history, but it seems to have been completely renovated recently, and it is picca to the corner 々. Very comfortable. There is a plane parking lot next to the three-dimensional parking lot, and two wheels are put into the picture. It is half underground, so it sleeps. The room is a railway view. This is a pleasure for the vehicle-based Tetsu.Niigata Station is a transitional period in which the conventional platform is divided into ground and elevated, so it seems to be an interesting scenery. There is a large bath though it is not taken. I took a morning bath, but there were few people and comfortable. Breakfast is suspension of buffet form and is provided in Bento form. It is 1300 yen later, but it seems to be quite suitable for the price. If it is poor, it is better than the buffet? It was balanced and healthy, and the material and taste were not bad. Close to downtown and not expensive. Very recommended.
