We visited this hotel whist staying at their sister hotel The KK Beach hotel. We came up for an evening meal and were treated like visiting film stars. The manager met us a the hotel steps entrance and made us feel very welcome. The architecture is stunning, I felt that I had entered a Chelsea Flower show garden with a royal palace floating in its midst. The food was exceptional and very good value. The staff are wonderful and attentive. I would highly recommend a stay at this hotel, it is enveloped in nature and very peaceful.

We were so lucky to spend ten perfect and extremely relaxing days at Kahanda Kanda in the beautiful Kadju villa. The villa is so very private with a large sunny terrace and an infinity pool over looking the tea plantation and jungle. I spent so much time watching the monkeys in the trees and listening to all the sounds below, especially the peacocks, one of whom popped in to see us most evenings in all his magnificence! The whole hotel is so beautifully designed, so tranquil and so efficiently and generously run. Kadju villa itself felt just like home with it's gorgeous colour, large bathroom and french windows to the terrace. From the moment we were picked up in Colombo until we were dropped off back at the airport, we were looked after so very well. Breakfast was superb overlooking the trees in the dining pavilion, something we looked forward to each morning. Lunch was often brought to our room to eat on the terrace if we hadn't ventured further in a tuktuk to KK Beach, Galle or Koggala Lake. We enjoyed a cocktail in the living pavilion before a three course dinner each evening, which was superb every night. Every member of the team were wonderful and we were incredibly well looked after. It was also lovely to meet the creator and owner of KK, George Cooper who often popped in whilst we had a drink before dinner. He has truly created a very very special place. We also enjoyed visiting his shop in Galle which was so well curated and the gorgeous colourful elephant backpack we brought home for our young granddaughter has been exceptionally well received! Thank you all so much for giving us a truly special, relaxing holiday and an unforgettable experience.

We stayed in Tamarind villa for 4 nights & it was without a doubt our best hotel in our 18 nights in Sri Lanka. Our villa was one of the few without its own pool but we enjoyed the main pool to ourselves on most occasions . We would like to thank all the staff for the excellent service we received . The location is so beautiful & peaceful & we loved spending time on our balcony watching & listening to the wildlife. The food & drink were superb, although a little on the expensive side . If we return to Sri Lanka , we will definitely return to Kahanda Kanda - it is a very special place with easy access to Galle & the beach by Tuk tuk- but you may not want to leave ! Thank you to George & everyone at Kahanda Kanda who made our stay so perfect .

This place is amazing. Nice for relax, Comfortable, private clean Villa. Food was delicious. Service was realy Good. But we had bad experience. We were very disapointed. be careful with your money and valuables when you leave the room. do not leave them lying loose in the room. Store your belongings in the safe.

Stayed in Hellaconia villa for two nights and was one of the most relaxing times I have ever had. The food and the service of the staff were excellent. They had an al-carte menu during our stay and had different varieties for every meal and the meals and dessert were excellent. Mr. George Cooper who is the owner of the premise visits every guest and make sure that everything is as they expected, which was nice to see. Hellaconia suite contains a private pool and is ideal for a couple to have a relaxing time. The villa doesn't have a TV however, it has a small library which can keep you occupied during your stay. You might be able to see some wildlife during your stay here as well such as Monkeys and Pea Cocks, and if you are a dog lover there are few dogs within the hotel as well whom you can pet. Even though the hotel is located near several attractions, you can spend the whole stay within the premises without any boredom. Highly recommended for a calm relaxing stay in the down south area.

Amazing resort style hotel with beautiful surroundings and views. The rooms are magnificent with very unique designs. We had one mishap with dinner (translation issue, probably our fault) and not enough to bring the rating down. Food was delicious Asian fusion mix.

We had a lovely time here. Our villa with a pool lived up to our expectations. Monitor lizards and peacocks paid visits to our garden. Monkeys in the trees were fun to see too. Service was always excellent and the food very good. Would certainly return.

We stayed here for our honeymoon and it was a wonderful experience. The food was delicious and the service provided by the staff was superb. This is a gorgeous hotel with beautiful architecture and gardens. Suggest to have a walk around in the morning.

We had the most intoxicating ten days at KK over New Year - our Hibiscous villa was stunning, with its own little pool, and lots of wonderful bird life. Our bed was so comfortable, we slept like kings! And George has thought of everything, from Bose speaker to filtered water to excellent tea and coffee and delightful robes. The restaurant served up endless delicacies (fish night a particular favourite), and always with a smile - the staff are utterly charming. We loved exploring Galle, and taking a tuk tuk down to KK Beach to wander along the sand. Such a magical place, and no better way to kick off 2024! A million thanks to George and team for your wonderful hospitality. We cannot wait to return!

We stayed 2 nights here after a lovely tour of Sri Lanka to wind down before going back home. We had a very warm and friendly welcome and stayed in the hibiscus villa with private pool. The villa is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The bed is wonderful and the bathroom really large with a double shower. The garden area is real pretty overlooking tea plantations . You can even see pluckers at work , The pool is large and water warm .Nice sunbeds. Tea and coffee making facilities with luxury tea bags . The food is wonderful! Compliments to the chef. Lunch was delicious with nice healthy choices as well . Diner is a 3 course menu with Thai influences. The only criticism is that the portions are too large so shame to waste.Bread is fresh .They use products from their garden. Breakfast was really nice too . The large reception/ bar area is very inviting and nice cocktails to be enjoyed. The gardens are lovely and lots of birds around and monkeys eating all the mangoes ! The staff were lovely and and very attentive in all areas . It’s about 40 minutes drive from Galle and 2h30 to the airport. A perfect way to end our stay . Also a few dogs and the lovely Ginger the cat who loves lots of attention!

Just arrived on holidays a few days ago and had my first Sri Lankan massage at KK hotels given to me by Prageeth the head massage therapist and yoga instructor. It was incredible, the special oils he uses, his techniques in deep tissue massage, balinese massage and reflexology are excellent and while not a yoga fan myself I gather he also gives great Hatha Yoga classes. i understand you can book yourself for a massage whether you are staying in the hotel or not. So if you feel like indulging yourself on holidays add this to your list.

The most beautiful, calm and relaxed time. We absolutely loved it. We felt so welcome from the moment we arrived. The rooms are huge and beautifully decorated and equipped. Our terrace looked over the plantation and was so relaxing, and everything was perfect - from two showers to the bose speaker to coffee, it was all perfect. The pool was a delight. The best though was the staff - they were so kind, chatty and smiley and seemed genuinely proud to be working there. Konar (sorry if I misspelt your name) was so lovely and genuinely made our time there really special. We will be back!

We have been coming to Sri Lanka for 10 years staying at Kanhanda Kanda or the beachside property KK beach or sometimes both as part of one holiday This time was special because my husband was recovering from a stroke and now uses a wheelchair. George Cooper and his team just rolled out the red carpet and the hotel, team food and service remain exceptional and it’s true his attention to detail on the interiors of all the spaces is just so exquisite. You want to take every room home with you. One piece of advice I would give you is ignore the weather forecast channels as we speak they say it’s raining and I am sitting in glorious sunshine ☀️ writing this review, So if you want a mix of sunshine, some clouds , the odd shower and days spent deciding will I hang out by the pool overlooking Koggala Lake or head to the beach hotel and feel some sand between my toes this is the place to go I cannot recommend it enough. This level of service and comfort consistently after 10 years on visiting is something to behold. Thanks George and the team for making this return trip so special in the circumstances 👍😇😇🌈❤️

A real treat of a boutique hotel set in a stunning natural environment with a dash of creative flair to compliment the nature. The rooms are gorgeous and the airy public areas are a treat too. The hotel has real style although in such a relaxing and welcoming manner. It is a grown up joy - with a dash of yesteryear mixed with absolute comfort and great service too. Take time choosing your exact room as they all offer different styles and décor and sourcing the perfect room for you is worth the research.
