Sandia Peak Inn Old Town ABQ, a Howard Johnson by Wyndham

I reserved a motel that was far away and very shabby for almost $300. I saw that it was written as an Inn and 2 stars, but it had the Howard Johnson name and said it was remodeled within 2 years, so I thought it was high-class because the price was high. I had never been to such a place before in my life. I arrived late at night and had no choice but to get the key and go in, but I couldn't even wash and just slept in my clothes. Then I left. Above all, I was very disappointed with Trip.com, which sells such a motel product at such a high price. Since then, I have been using *******."

I’ve got updated room, which was very spacious. On one hand, very basic, but at the same time very clean, modern shower and the place where you can get rest. After all, it’s a motel and I was glad I stayed there.

We were very comfortable in our 2 night stay in this centrally located motel. It has been recently updated. Clean and comfortable with helpful staff.

Honestly, this stay (neighborhood sketchy, someone’s old food in fridge, sink squirted water all over, and hard mattress) was very disappointing, but the staff were helpful, which was good.

The biggest asset for this property is the staff. They are friendly and accommodating - I've been at big hotels where the staff was professional, but this place made me feel welcome. I was there during spring break so everything was booked and it was loud and noisy till one in the morning. Also, it's very close to a main street which made it very hard to sleep due to noise although the property has some great amenities there's a lot that needs to be repaired.

The photos on the app must have been taken years ago. Property outside was shabby and minimally clean. The pool was very small and did not appear sanitary. Breakfast offered was minimal. Our room seemed to be clean enough and everything was functional. Seemed to be only one staff.

I prepaid my stay online but the staff still put my card as pending for the 2 nights, instead of using it for deposit.

Propeety was old and worn. Staff was friendly. Had a couple issues but staff took care of it immediately

It was noisy, right by a busy raid, metal bed made noise every time you moved throughout the night, an employee pacing around playing music loudly in his phone outside our room, and the breakfast was pretty non-existent.
