This is the second time I’ve stayed in the lovely château like hotel. Everything about it is charming. The bath is probably the best I’ve ever experienced in Europe, particularly the shower, which does not spray out onto the floor and has plenty of room. There’s lots of seating in the living room with desks and dressers galore so you can spread out for your projects. The bed is soft yet firm Every morning you look at the beautiful château in the morning sunlight. The staff is helpful, friendly and entertaining. A great place to base your trip to the Loire Valley.

Stayed here for two nights beginning of October. I had read a few reviews and was fairly concerned regarding breakfast and unfriendly staff. We arrived extremely early as we had traveled from Saumur, popped into reception and was greeted with a very friendly person on reception who had no problem with us leaving our car there so we could wander the town. We checked in and helped to our lovely room overlooking the château with all the facilities and extras you would expect from a 5 star hotel. Bed we very comfortable. Situated a stones throw from the town this is an ideal hotel for sightseeing Amboise. We booked breakfast and wasn’t disappointed. The quality of the produce was excellent and typically French. Again on checkout we were offered help with our bags. The receptionist asked me how my French was I said not good considering I lived and worked in France for 7 years some 13 years ago. I fibbed my French is acceptable and my work in France was as a chef and I had work in hospitality mid to high end. In all wonderful place. I said I would return and we will. Thank you.

We had rooms in the Pavilion building, which were large and very comfortable. Staff was friendly and arranged restaurants for us. Breakfast was decent. Location is perfect, right at the base of the castle and 5 mins walk into the heart of Amboise. Road next to hotel along the river looks like it might be busy, but didn't bother us at all and you can walk a quiet backstreet into town.

Attractive facility, clean and nicely appointed. We did not use the breakfast option. Convenient onsite parking.We had a ground floor suite in the cottage structure so we could park just outside the door, again convenient. A deluxe feel; all OK. A short walk to numerous restaurants, essential since there is no parking on restaurant street.

Absolutely amazing small, country hotel in Amboise. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, and went out of their way to make suggestions and recommendations. Breakfast was great. We have stayed in five star hotels in major European cities and the service here was secondary to none. It’s also very convenient to go touring to the major chateaux and villages in the Loire Valley. We play on comic back next year.

Terrific place in Amboise. Loved our stay! Attentive staff, very clean rooms and spaces and a wonderful breakfast option. There is also a great room with plenty of seating if you want to relax away from your room. Beautiful surroundings. We will stay here again!

Beautiful, luxurious hotel with impeccable service. Julian, Nina and Gilles, manager, could not have been more helpful. Celebrating our 50th anniversary, decided to splurge here. Breakfast in room was awesome! Loved the location, walking to dinner each night. Town bakery, Paul, was wonderful. Hotel arranged taxi from train station. Room 14 was huge and luxurious. Definitely stay again/

Dear Travelers, do not believe descriptions of this property. Specially if you think you will pay extra for a deluxe room with unbeatable view on Loire River and/or the Castle. You will just get none of this, a tiny window you should reach standing on a chair to see a extremely small part of the river. So you get no view, simply as this (see pictures). We complained to the pleasant and alone lady at the reception : she can’t do anything, the manager is off duty abd will see tomorrow. Yes but tomorrow we will be gone. Lying to clients for short term benefits is never a good way. Below description of the beautiful view (?…) on their website that was the reason to book it for me. Chambre Deluxe Manoir À partir de 169€ Situées au 2e étage, elles donnent sur la Loire et le Château Royal d'Amboise. Ces chambres élégantes au confort plus contemporain, avec leurs poutres blanchies révèlent une atmosphère empreinte de charme et de douceur.
