Well you have to admire the staff who were basically working in a building site. The hotel is undergoing a massive refurb which was not mentioned in the booking process. The reception was set up in a temporary corner and the staff had to battle huge volumes of noise from the building works but, hats off to them they did a great job in atrocious conditions.
The restaurant are was shut but there were takeaway ready meals which you could eat at the outside terrace or take to your room. We had cod and puree potato with *****s of veg, all served piping hot in a glass bowl and it was delicious. However, we were not informed about that either during booking. Breakfast was a standard box which you collected and eat in your room but it was good quality .
The rooms were standard comfortable Campanile bedrooms. The building works stopped at 5 so it wasn't noisy during the night
