Very good place to stay. I arrived outside reception times and they had send codes to enter the flat. It was easy to use this and find the key for the studio. The studio was spacious and clean. I met staff at the check out. They were polite and friendly. The vheck out quick.

The hotel was very clean and modern, and the hotel was renovated in 2020 after the exchange with the owners. The room is very comfortable (160 bed), it is a very good point. Finally, breakfast is really very good and very good (you will find bread natural - cereals, sweet butter and half salt, various varieties of confectionery, cereals, cheese, yachts and composts, charcuterie etc.). Excellent price quality ratio ! !

Stayed at this hotel for my Sons wedding last year so booked again this year 2022 but even though it’s booked early we were not given a nice room but one with like a plane bathroom . But for the same price we were not offered upgrade to a room like we had last year & had to ask ourselves for it .This is not good customer service in my opinion .We are after travelling from Ireland & I feel we are not respected Marie Also this year is for 40th wedding anniversay celebrations . So extra disappointing

A typical, old-style French hotel but with quirky decor in the public places. It has a fabulous location right at the top of Angoulême, at the beating heart of the eating and drinking quarter. Very friendly staff. Comfortable bed. Although there is parking at the hotel, there are not many spaces and it is hard to find. There are other carparks very close by at similar prices. The only reason for not giving it 5 stars was that the bathroom was so dimly lit that I found it hard to shave.
