Just got back though I would write a review to let u know it’s a French hotel ,only French food if u have a food intolerance problems like me I can only eat plain food because of my stomach problems then this is not the hotel for u ,I will not be going back ,first night we arrived 10 minutes after 9am we where give cold food meat and bread after a long day ,we walked out and found a restaurant that cooked me plain food ,thats where we ate all week , hotel room updated cleaning hit and miss even wet towels for a couple of days , no way of drying your wet clothes after skiing ,no hangers over the 1 and only electric heater it turns off if u put anything over the heater ,pool nice but only 3 visits for the week and book all 3 on the first day ,

We are a family four, kids ages 13 and 12 stayed here during half term for skiing. It was a last minute booking so did not much chance to read the reviews prior to booking. Upon reading the reviews, our expectations are low as most of the reviews were not great. But it certainly was better than expected. It is definitely a family friendly hotel but geared mostly for young French speaking families. The staff are very helpful and friendly especially the kitchen staff. There’s a good selection of buffet food including vegetarian with at least 3 options for main course plus good salad buffet, and pasta and pizza. There was actually one night where I think there was no meat option at all which I did not mind. The food gets replenished quickly. There was an ice cream stand and lots of pudding selection also. Breakfast buffet selection is good with continental and hot breakfast (baked beans, scrambled eggs, sausages and bacon). Every afternoon between 4.30-5pm, they have free cakes/donuts/cookies for everyone in the bar. There is a ski rental in the hotel although there is another one just outside the hotel. If you are hiring skis and boots, make sure you know your height and weight as they don’t have a height measurement tool or a weighing scale. The ski lockers are good but could do with more benches to sit on and the lockers are not actually heated so the boots are still damp in the morning. The bedrooms are small and narrow. We booked two twins bedrooms so we have a bit more space. I don’t recommend a triple room as I imagine would be tight. The only toiletry provided is a small bar of soap and a shampoo bar. There provided plenty of toilet paper and our rooms are cleaned every day. They change the towels every Tuesday and Thursdays. My only complaint is the noise. They have nightly entertainment with loud music til 11pm and there is no escape from it. It can be heard in your bedroom. The entertainment starts from 6pm which is a disco for young children then something for older children later on but it’s all in French. So if you want a quiet drink in the bar or play your own board game with the family, there is no where to do it. The swimming pool is freezing cold. The sauna and steam room could be hotter. Location wise, I would say it is about 10 minute walk to a button lift and there is a lift which would take you up to the main Arc2000. Walking back is an uphill walk plus carrying your skis so I absolutely dread it. For ski school, they provide a van for the kids to take them to the nursery slopes. It isn’t a ski in ski out hotel. I absolutely don’t recommend it if you are particular with location being close to the lifts as I don’t think it is.

Yes the hotel is in a good position not too far away from the lifts and the bars and restaurants. However, hotel is mainly geared up for the French not the English. Rooms are quite small, small toilet room and small bathroom all very compact. Food is only average, not much meat and vegetables to speak of, always found something but not a great choice of all for the English. I would not really return to this hotel as there are better ones. Some staff very nice and tried to be helpful but they didn’t speak much English. We stayed over Xmas and far too many kids running about.

Housekeeping staff rude. Food cold. Sheets changed once. Went to use the afternoon 'all inclusive' once all week & got turned away as it stopped at breakfast on checkout day. Not made aware this was the case. Only consider staying here if you have kids. Place is crawling with them & the loud kids club. No other bar or lounge area for adult groups or couples.

I travelled to this hotel with my mate on the 9th March,2024, for a week of skiing. I’ve been to loads and loads of resorts in France, and love Arc 2000. Ive not stayed at this particular hotel, (normally Aiguille Rouge) and was a bit worried when I saw the negative reviews. Well in my opinion they are NOT justified and unfair. From our arrival the reception staff were friendly and professional. The comments about the staff not speaking English are ridiculous and rude. Good manners would be to learn some basic French, and give it a try. Our room was good for a ski resort hotel, (room 349), amazing views of Mont Blanc, it was clean and well presented. The shower had both a power head and monsoon option. Lashings of very hot water. There are several moans about towels not being changed, well ours were, and ask yourselves, how often do you change towels at home ?( I bet it is no more than once a week). At night we opened our window for fresh air, and it was very peaceful and quiet, both in the hotel and outside. Moving onto the food, it was excellent , great choices (we went fully inclusive so lunch was included) loads of fresh fruit, warm bread, variety of mains and plenty of cheeses. I don’t normally do puddings but the fruit tarts were the bees knees. The staff could be a bit slicker at clearing the tables when it was busy, but hey guess what you can clear a table of plates yourself if you’re not too proud or too lazy. The ski lockers are good, and easily accessed. It is a walk to get onto the slopes, but it is about 200, metres. The bar and entertainment area are lively at times, the animation team try hard and are good fun. We went fully inclusive, it was £160 each, and a bit of a negative here is that the selection of drinks included in this optional extra could be better. The ones displayed in blue at the bar are included, and this was only one of the draught beers. But with number of coffees and beer we had we felt it was still good value. A couple of other minor ******* were the lifts not seeming to work, and there is a lovely big open fire in the bar area, but they ran out of wood for the last two nights! We had a really good time at this hotel, do not be put off by the bad reviews.

Service needs to be improved, not enough staff to cater for guests at buffet, slow to clear tables, replenish food, delph etc. One lift (only two in hotel for guests) was out of order all week we were there meaning always waiting to get up or down the lift. Rooms small but to be expected in French ski resort, shower good. Location good.

Just returned from 1 x weeks ski trip. If you are from the UK you are treated like a second class citizen at this hotel. Even though our party could speak fluent French, the staff dismissed us frequently whenever we asked for anything or to address some of the issues we had, but appeared to quickly respond to anyone who was French. Rooms are very small and very noisy. Rooms not cleaned throughout stay, occasional new towels and toilet roll thrown in the room. The toilet pan was stained brown, did not flush and toilet seat falling off. The food was terrible, luke warm at best, very limited options, very poor food hygeine witnessed, dirty crockery and cuttlery. Severall guests spoken to felt unwell and queried food poisening. Food not replenished frequently enough to deal with the number of guests which lead to it feeling like a swarm of locusts descending on the dining area as soon as the restaurant opens, whether that be for breakfast or dinner. In additon, when no tables available in the dining room for paying guests, noted that all staff were sitting at tables having something to eat, leaving guests standing around unable to eat, again no one seemed to care about this when raised. To top it off on our last night, where we had to be up early for a 5.00am transfer, the hotel held a private party where very loud music was playing until after 1.00am...so loud the bed was vibrating and a bottle of water fell of the side due to the bass. We had no warning this was planned and had we known we would not have booked this hotel. There is very limited reception availability so difficult to report issues to anyone who seems to care. When getting up for early transfer, unlike other hotels we have stayed at, there was no coffee or basic breakfast provided. In addition to this, we had charges added to our room for drinks we did not have after we had already paid our room/bar bill on the day of leaving....this was to the sum of 100 euros for drinks we did not have...so be warned when charging to the room. The ski hire shop also tried to charge us for an additional day's hire, that we did not have. There seemed to be no overall management at this hotel and the priority seemed to be on the staff having a good time as opposed to caring for guests who had paid a lot of money to stay there. Location is OK, 10 min walk to button lift to get to main square and skiing in the area is amazing but sadly issues with this hotel need to be addressed. I would absolutely not stay here again and believe there is much better accommodation in the area.

The good: location is OK, there is a 5/10 minute walk to ski. The view. The food is good. The staff are friendly. Beds are relatively good. The bad: The room, bathroom and toilet are very small, but to be expected at the price. My bed leg was broken. The hotel is very noisy. I have just asked someone next door to stop playing dance music at 11.30. The ugly: dirty beds, dirty mouldy bathroom, very tired room and noise. It's cheep and it should be. Definitely 2 star. Personally I will pay a bit more and stay somewhere better next year.

After reading some recent reviews I was a little concerned about our upcoming trip. I was however very impressed, and although I cannot comment on others experiences, I must say we had a very positive and pleasant stay. The rooms are not massive (there appears to be 2 sized rooms, with one slightly smaller than the other) but certainly large enough, clean, comfortable beds and pillows with very good powerful and always hot showers. Our rooms were serviced daily and fresh towels provided mid week. With regards to the food, we had dinner at 6.45-7pm and there was always a plentiful supply (frequently topped up) of a tasty variety of fresh food including fresh pizzas made throughout the evening, pasta and a variety of sauces and numerous daily options of main meals including vegetarian options and individually plated delicate specials. Breakfast was plentiful, varied and had numerous and cold options. A Daily afternoon snack is provided in the bar around 4pm. A short walk to the piste involves walking either down the round to the button lift (approx 150m / 3 minute walk) or 200m up the road to a lift. The ski room was large (individual lockers for each room are provided), heated and well located. The staff are helpful, friendly and efficient. We would definitely return.
