For the hotel to be under construction the staff is doing an excellent job working around it - construction hours are 8am -8 pm and so it’s nice and quiet at bedtime - will stay again while under construction if I’m in Athens

******* listed this hotel with jetted tubs. None as advertised. Hotel under major construction? No one said a word. We were compensated after a phone call, but would never have booked it if we had known. Won’t book there again, or with *******!

The cost for the room was way too expensive. The bed was extremely low & tilted from the feet to the head. Breakfast was not good either. The hotel is being updated but the cost for the room we stayed in was outrageously expensive. Tile in the bathroom floor wabbled and the bathtub backs up while showering. I do not recommend. Once remediation is completed might be better.

First, let me say, they are refurbishing the hotel, so construction is going on. The pool is closed, the business center is closed but we didn’t want to use those things anyway so that wasn’t the problem. Our room was in a dilapidated condition. The curtain rod was broken, there were holes in the curtain, the tile in the bathroom was broken and the bathroom door wouldn’t shut because it didn’t fit the frame. We were there two nights. They gave us two towels. The first morning we went for breakfast, there was no hot food because the oven was broken. The next morning,however, there was hot food. When we returned to the room after our first day out, it had not been cleaned and there were no clean towels. We went downstairs and complained, asking if we had to ask for housekeeping as you sometimes do now, but they said no. They just skipped us. This is the worst Holiday Inn Express we’ve ever been to. The desk clerk was nice though.

A/C would not cool, it was hot in our room, no hot breakfast (blamed a broken oven) missing lamp bulbs and they could not find any replacements, construction on the floor above our room, could hear them using the hammer and heavy walking and dragging stuff across the floor. When we checked in they said it would be that evening between 5:00 and 7:30, didn't mention anything about the next morning.

I paid substantially more than the competitor to have a hot breakfast with eggs and bacon but their oven was down and all they had was cereal.

Vanity faucet handle broken, fell in sink when used, toiled not handicap, no grab bar on back wall of shower, no anti skid on tub bottom, I noticed several locks on doors broken. I informed clerk that our guest never showed up last night & asked for credit on card, she said I should get $30.00 credit, but did not. Property in poor condition & need alot of updating.

Old and run down hotel. Kitchen was broken so no hot breakfast for our three day stay. No room cleaning available either.
