Overall, not bad, but not great either. I'm surprised this hotel has an 8.6 rating, I would say it's about a 7 at best. I am not familiar with the Baton Rouge area, but the location feels a bit sketchy. After driving around a bit, I would have preferred to stay closer to the mall. The hotel is DATED, and in desperate need of updates. It was clean enough, but definitely wear and tear on the furniture showing. I arrived at 3:45 and was told my room was not ready yet, check in is at 4. No big deal, so I waited in the lobby. At 4:07, I was told that even though check in begins at 4, there is no guarantee that the room would be ready. Finally got my key around 4:20. Not a big deal, but I had somewhere to be at 5, and needed to change and get ready. The staff wasn't rude about it, but they weren't nice about it, either. Overall, it was fine. I don't think the rating or the nightly price reflect the true value.

On the whole, everything was great. Check in was easy, and once I got the hang of where to turn in to the hotel in relation to the I10 exit, it was a breeze getting in and out of the lot when I needed to. A hidden bonus was how the back lot had two other entrances to the hotel (accessible by keycard) to make getting back to the room a breeze. If I had to nitpick, the proximity of the hotel to the train added noise at night. The room I had wasn’t much for noise dampening as I heard my neighbors a bit. That said, it’s not like the hotel didn’t prepare! Earplugs and a recommendation for a sleep app were by the bedside, which was an unexpected nod.

Had a great experience here. Front desk lady was super nice and we walked right to the outback for dinner!

I don’t have any idea how the property and area is, because I didn’t stay there. Because there was a mistake in the booking reservation. I wanted the hotel to be in South Padre Island, Tx. Instead it was booked in La. I requested my refund and it was denied. Now that is bad for your business. Can you help me get my money back ?

My son and I drove in from Texas to see LSU v A&M. The property was well maintained. Staff was professional. When we walked into the room, we were immediately hit with the aroma of CLEAN. We’ve been to many nice hotels, but we have never walked into a room and been hit with cleanliness! Wow. Shout out to your staff for ensuring your rooms are neat, clean, and welcoming. I would definitely stay here again and again.

The hotel itself is decent. Could use some upgrading but it was overall clean. Our vehicle did get a window smashed out and was robbed during our stay. We were told there are no cameras in the parking lot.

I would love to give this hotel 5 stars. The check in was quick and friendly. Unfortunately after a day of higher humidity the room smelled of urine. It’s an older property and well maintained but the carpet in the rooms and the carpeted baseboards were marked by their four legged guests (hopefully)

The hotel pretends to be Marriott quality but it is not. Instead, it charges fees that are not proportional to the poor quality of bedrooms and restrooms.
