Aksari Resort Ubud by Ini VIE Hospitality

Ubud Bali|2.77km from Bali Surya Tubing
The Resort is beautifully laid out and located on a steep valley side overlooking a stream. The large infinity pools and the private pools appear to cascade down to the stream. Despite the slope it is easy to get around. The rooms are large with great forest views but the design of the bathroom may concern those that insist on privacy from whoever is sharing with them. A large Decal on the toilet glass would fix this. There is a musty smell in some rooms which may be from the exterior vegetation or a lack of attention to the air-conditioners. The spa staff were very professional and good at their job. The staff in general are extremely efficient, friendly and constantly wanting to help. If I am to balance out my review it would be in 3 areas. The staff seemed to need more guidance on how to better help the guests. We asked if there was anything special happening in Ubud to celebrate Independence Day. We were told either nothing was happening or there would be a lot of people. We made our own way to Ubud where there was a street parade with music and dancers that went on for 2 hours. On another occasion we were escorted to the local village where we saw just a few people preparing for a funeral ceremony. One of our favourite waitresses in the restaurant explained that it was her village and everybody was preparing for a mass funeral (cremation). This event only happens once every 3 years but because of Covid it had been 5 years since the last one and there would be 69 individuals cremated. This sounds a bit macabre to watch as a tourist but the following day we were spellbound for 4 hours watching and being involved in a celebration and festival for these cremated villagers. It was a highlight. Again the Resort staff in the main did not know or care about it happening just 15 minutes away. The restaurant food was good but I cannot understand why they had run out of Chardonnay while the Housekeeping staff had bottles of it. Here again, some staff knew about it but management did not. Finally, it must be mentioned that the resort is quite a long way to the town of Ubud so adding some restaurant variety is not easy. I would like to have been told about what are the main features to see in Ubud and around the area. We found out because our beautiful waiters and waitresses became good friends and filled us in. Something at the front desk for those who are not able to easily befriend the staff would be an improvement. I think the only Management person we met was in the restaurant. If all you want is a comfortable climate and to lay back around a pool with an occasional massage, a basic menu, and beautiful quiet surroundings then Aksari is very good. If you think you close to the life in Obud, you are not.

excellent! The price/performance ratio is very high, the food is good, the laundry is also cheap, and you can spend freely in the store. The bed is quite big, it feels like 2 meters. The room was a good size. The location is thirty or forty minutes away from Ubud, which is a bit far. Overall very good, will come again next time.

You practically can see the sky and stars from your bed, the feeling of sync with nature is great. The staff is very helpful and friendly. it is an experience in a life time. its Far from anywhere, but I guess thats one of the plus point. Its also hot in the afternoon, which tobe expected since its in plastic (aircon attached to bed post could help). room should be more separate with each other.

Hotel service is very intimate, often have surprises! The waiter will take the initiative to help take the box, and will take the initiative to help take pictures. In the evening, there will be local folk performances. The check-in experience is very good. There are many green plants in the hotel. The photos are beautiful, and the restaurant is very beautiful! Perhaps because the location is close to nature, there are many small animals in the hotel. The ant frog gecko is common. Sometimes you may encounter animals that you don’t know. If you are afraid of being careful, we are two girls this time. We are Not afraid, but it is interesting and close to nature. Also, the hotel's things are delicious, if you choose next time.

In the mountains north of Ubud, there is a feeling of paradise. The staff are friendly, the food is of good quality, and the WhatsApp responses are prompt. The only bad thing is that you can only use local villagers' cars to get out of the hotel. Taxi-hailing apps like Gojek cannot pick up guests. This is the self-protection of the local hills. Moreover, the price of local villagers’ cars is more expensive than that of taxi-hailing apps. Of course, you can use taxi-hailing apps to enter the hotel from outside.
