Alix Bangkok Hotel

Ratchadaphisek Bangkok|0.64km from Brighton Place
Location: Some taxi drivers don't know where this hotel is, so it is easier to tell them to go to Bangkok Hospital and go down the Thai Village alley. The hotel is just 3 minutes from Bangkok Hospital by foot, or 1 minute if you use the hotel's shuttle golf cart. And from there it is easier for you to get a taxi. There are a huge 7/11 store, cafes and restaurants at Bangkok Plaza, right next to the hospital. So, it is quite convenient. Room: The room is large and looks like most service apartments, with a small dining table, a kitchen sink, a microwave oven, a kettle, a small fridge, some cups and plates. It's very clean and the building looks new. The only problem I had was with the bathroom. It had this unpleasant smell from the drain. And while we were staying, there was some sort of a construction on our floor, causing a smell of dust and again the drain. It would have been nice if they had given us a room on a different floor. But all in all, it was okay, so we didn't ask to move. Food: Since this is a service apartment-turned hotel, there is only one restuarant there, which seems to be totally empty all the time (not even a staff there). I think if you want breakfast, you might need to book it in advance. I am glad I didn't, though. There are other places you can go near the hotel. Staff: all of the staff I met while staying there were very helpful and polite. Although it took a while for us to complete the check-in, the rest was very good. In conclusion, I quite enjoyed my stay. But I do hope they would improve in the mentioned areas, as it has potential to be a great hotel.

The hotel overall reasonably with the price only the location is not in the central of the city but it have 7-11 nearby the hotel. The room was big space and well amenities provided. I love the ginger soaps. The staff service was great. The room was clean but i found some white and black hair on the pillow. Hope the hotel always use the new linen or pillow sheets with the customer. Bed well sleep. Only the room cleanliness as I mention the issue above.

AC was cold and bed was very comfortable. However, hotel was not tourist friendly -staff spoke minimal English, absolutely no information provided about the neighborhood or transportation. -location- 25 minute walk to nearest transit station and the first 6 minutes has no sidewalks and LOTS of traffic near Bangkok hospital making really difficult and dangerous to go anywhere. I saw in a review afterwards that there is a shuttle to a train station but we were not notified of that upon check in. Stay away if you are trying to sightsee Bangkok

Good value for money, and big spacious serviced apartment with modern decor. Hotel seems relatively new with a big smart TV and sports channels available. Without all the bell and whistles of 5 stars hotels, but slept very comfortably at night. Hotel is near the highway and hence slightly noisy from the traffic but no issue for me i could still sleep well. Able to get bowls and utensils if u ask the staff. Only downside is the location is abit out of the way, but if u can use grab then thonglor/ekkamai is within 10 min drive

The place is strategically located near many major malls within 5-10km Next to the hotel is a small plaza that have quite a few established restaurants and eateries. A well stocked and size 7-11. The room is superbly comfortable and relaxing.

I would probably not recommend this hotel for the casual traveller based on location alone which is a bit odd, but if someone needs to be in this area or if someone is quite flexible about location then it can be a value choice to consider. This hotel would probably be a better fit for people who are not elites of the IHG rewards program because the benefits of being a Diamond guest are slim to none at this property: all rooms are standard rooms so upgrades do not exist, and breakfast is free for all guests so being Diamond does not give anything extra. The room was fine, air conditioning worked well, and wifi was fast. The only issue I noticed is the way the room is designed, if looking out the window from the sofa you have a view of your neighbor right in front which is not ideal. For the price paid I thought I get a bit more at other hotel chains but this hotel was not bad on any individual metric so it's serviceable.

This hotel was great for my 1 day quarantine. The staff were all friendly and professional. The location seemed ok with 7eleven next door. Close enough to the airport. The rooms are nice and have a Belcony and very comfy bed. I would stay again for a stopover in Bangkok.
