Villa Deva Resort & Hotel Bangkok

Silom/Sathon Bangkok|0.95km from Thung Maha Mek Naval Radio Station 1
Environment: Located in the embassy district, surrounded by the embassies of Japan, Austria, and Denmark. It takes about 15 minutes to drive to Central World and Paragon. There is a swimming pool. The rooms are in apartments on the 1st and 2nd floors. Room: Most of the indoor facilities are newer and it feels like a renovated property. There is a bathtub, but no bath salts are provided, and there are no paper towels on the sink. Hygiene: very clean Service: Breakfast is not included in the room price. An ordinary European and American buffet breakfast alone costs 750 baht per person (the dishes look average and feel a bit over the top). The rest of the Thai breakfast (such as red curry chicken leg noodles) needs to be ordered a la carte (about 300 baht a serving), the restaurant service is very good (there is a drink menu priced at 120 baht, the restaurant seems to have charged 150 baht, I guess I didn't see it:). In addition, when I asked to check out at 2 o'clock, the hotel only gave me 1 o'clock, and I got it only after repeated applications. To be honest, the price of the hotel is high-end resort level, but the service cannot keep up. The front desk basically does not speak Chinese and English is very limited. Communication is a problem; the breakfast buffet is not rich enough; the overall performance is lower than expected and the management level needs to be improved.

The Tivoli Hotel

The Tivoli has some pretty amazing rooms available for 1 month rentals at a very reasonable rate (10-12,000 Thai baht/month - about USD$332-397). [There are special rooms for only 900 THB/day, too -- less than $30 USD.] Rooms are large for hotels in Asia these days and the facility is only about 15 years old. It has been up-kept nicely (rare for low-priced places in Thailand) and includes a roof top pool. There is a restaurant in the back with great food although no breakfast and no room service (any incoming food deliveries, even from them, must be met in the lobby and carried up to your own room). There's no microwave in the room nor one allowed to be brought in. There's no electric water pot either, which these days is simply over restrictive, I think. There are however lots of eating places within 2 blocks on the hotel, really good Thai food with low prices but again, not for breakfast. A 7-11 with ability to microwave things is only a block away, as are laundry facilities, self or by the kilo. Convenient location!!
The Boss Sathorn Hotel

Boss’s Place? More like The Thieves Guild. Came here to stay with a friend and money was stolen from my room on the first day! As my friend had already been staying here prior to my arrival, he requested for the room to be cleaned. I turned up, left my bags in the room and we went to lunch. The room was cleaned during this time. Whilst being at lunch, I suddenly realised I hadn’t brought my money pouch with me and rushed back to get it. Came back to the restaurant and when I went to pay, I noticed the notes I was holding was a little less. At first I assumed that I had spent it and I was mistaken. The next day I went out and I had a number of dollars left that I wanted to exchange for bhat and that’s when I realised money had 100% been taken as bills were missing too. It very much seemed to me that the thief had tactfully taken a lump sum in hope I wouldn’t notice. After confronting reception (which is like a ghost town. Hardly anyone at the counter) they just looked at me confused. As he didn’t speak English very well, I had to use Google Translate for him to fully understand what my complaint was about. He then agreed to pay some money back to me then next morning. When the next morning came (and just as I had predicted) their stance had completely changed and they flat out refused any money was stolen and they also said they would not be paying any money back to me. They also tried to blame other guests staying at the hotel (despite it being just myself and the staff that held a key card). After some more back and forth, the receptionist told me to come back Monday as that was when the owner was in and I would have to take it up with him…. Come Monday, surprise, surprise “there was no owner around” and when I got cross the guy just looked at me and walked away. No offer to investigate/speak to the person who cleaned the room, no offer of compensation. They simply just didn’t care and treated me appallingly like I was the person in the wrong. He was more interested in what was going on on the television. So beware if you do decide to stay here people and make sure your money and valuables are on you or locked up at all times. Not only do I find it disheartening that this happened, I’m more grossed out that someone had been touching/going through my things.

Amazing balcony waiting for you! The view is perfect for a sunset dinner. We love the kitchen. The room quality is very good comparing to other apartments in Bangkok. Two bedroom , two bathrooms and big balcony and a living room...The location is also 5 Star being a little away from the main road. We mostly take taxis . (attractions in bkk is around 10 mins drive) or you can walk to Lumpini MRT with many things to see along the way. (massage spa, cafes, street food, international food) The building has lovely receptionist and the BKK guideline map. Very thoughtful accommodation! We will be back for sure!

Great location surrounded by restaurants and bars. Room isn’t the best and a little old but great value for the price.

Hap Satorn is a nice guesthouse with big rooms and a very comfortable bed. The location is convenient, close to MRT station Lumphini and Lumphini park. Internet speed is good. There is no elevator, so you have to walk up stairs. The hotel provides hot water in the lobby for tea.

The hostel was super clean and modern. We had a private twin room which had a bunk bed and was rather small, but good and clean with good air conditioning. The bathroom was very clean and modern. The roof top and front porch terrace were great to hang out and read a book or eat breakfast. Breakfast was basic but OK. With toast and jam and good coffee. The have a fridge that you can use.
