Reading Hotels with Bars

I came out of hospital and we went straight to the go co hotel. What an amazing experience.  And such a beautiful greeting from all staff. My girls absolutely loved their stay and swimming. They also took to the wonderful ladies at the reception. Thank you so much for all you have done and for such a wonderful time and service  Can’t wait to come back xxx

Nice hotel with helpful and friendly staff. Location is good, close to downtown. Environment is nicer than in the centre. Room is big too, simple breakfast but good enough.

Lovely comfortable hotel, only drawback for us was that although they accept dogs (for which they charge quite a lot) there's nowhere to eat apart from the lobby, which is rather big and exposed, if you have the dog with you. Part of the dog policy is that they shouldn't be left alone in the room (that I agree with) but it left us having to go out of the hotel to eat at a local pub which was more dog friendly. Otherwise it was great, comfortable beds, good bathroom and a pleasant ambience, nice receptionists.

Stayed temporarily for one night when the rent expired. The location is very good, located in the city center, downstairs is a popular bar, very lively on weekends. The hotel decoration service is interesting and the store also sent beer.

I only stayed one night, so I can't say it was great or terrible, just okay. The room was generally spacious, and while it had been renovated, many of the facilities were still mediocre. For example, there were only bedside lamps and no main light, making the room quite dim. There was no remote control, so I couldn't watch TV. Opening the door was also a bit inconvenient. I specifically requested no corner room in my reservation notes, but as expected, I was still given a corner room on the second floor. Since the price was relatively cheap, I guess it's understandable they didn't follow the request. If you're looking for something better, you might want to look elsewhere. This is just for your reference.

The location is in the center of Reading, very close to the train station, convenient for travel. The room is in another building and there are staff to help with luggage. The room is nice with a balcony. The hotel restaurant food is also OK. I went late on the day of check-in and only some dishes were available. The wine was good. The hotel made a mistake in the bill when checking out and charged me an extra fee. I negotiated with the platform and got it refunded. Overall I feel satisfied.

The staff is friendly and polite. Although it’s a bit of a drive from Newbury and closer to Thatcham, the location isn’t too bad. There are even public transport links, with a bus stop outside on the line that connects Newbury to Reading. I haven’t tried the food yet, as it seemed a bit expensive to me. However, there’s a pub nearby that serves excellent food. Unfortunately, there’s no air conditioning, but fans are provided.

Check in was a bit slow . But stay was decent but they could work on their cleanliness as the bath tube had stains and the toilet flush was not stopping at all was running through the whole night. And bed covers had some stains as well

Really loved everything about this hotel - from my stay to the food and it’s location close to the city centre. Will definitely choose to stay here every time I visit Reading! Staff is really friendly and helpful as well - they knock on the door every morning the room!
