Great
GGuest UserThe location is in the center of Reading, very close to the train station, convenient for travel. The room is in another building and there are staff to help with luggage. The room is nice with a balcony. The hotel restaurant food is also OK. I went late on the day of check-in and only some dishes were available. The wine was good. The hotel made a mistake in the bill when checking out and charged me an extra fee. I negotiated with the platform and got it refunded. Overall I feel satisfied.
CCY SzeThe reception lady was not very friendly when checked into the hotel, but the rest of the staff are very nice. The room looks dark and old. The shower switch fell out a few times when we tried to turn it on. The toilet got stuck easily. But the location was perfect, one minute walk from the train station.
MMMESTRELLAExcellent service from the moment you step into the hotel, where you're greeted by very professional staff. The room was impeccably clean and had everything you need for your stay. The location is perfect, right in the center of Reading and just a few steps from the train station. You have shops and the museum right next door.
GGuest UserVery nice hotel, they have games like ping pong and darts in the reception area to play for free and a nice bar. Rooms are very spacious! When we checked in they stated 24 hour bar and reception desk but when I went down at around 3am I didn’t see a worker. But I would come back here again!
GGuest UserThe hotel is in a good location, convenient to travel, and there are subways and shopping malls nearby. The rooms are clean and tidy, warmly furnished and well equipped. The front desk service is warm and thoughtful, making people feel at home, and will choose to stay next time.
GGuest UserWe had a lovely stay here for a wedding 15 minutes drive away.
The staff were very helpful and accommodating at all times.
The only comment I would like to raise is that we were given room 9 which was described as an accessible room (which we didn’t need) but it was completely inappropriate as accessible as the shower ( which was in the bath) would have been completely unsuitable for a wheelchair user, or someone else with difficulty moving who wouldn’t have been able to climb into the bath to use it.
Breakfast was excellent.
GGuest UserAfter requesting a quiet room due to having our 11 month old with us we were placed directly above the function suite for a wedding and while testing the sound system the floor below are feet curated and the noise was crazy.
The moved us rooms out of the original Manor House we requested and into the furthest room possible from all amenities on offer smaller than our original room, 3rd floor and no lift with a baby in a pram and lots of luggage. The room was also unbearably hot and a crazy sensor/light in the bathroom kept our son (and them us) all night.
Not sure if recommended staying here. .
GGuest UserAlthough the environment is old, well-equipped, it is cheap enough, the front desk brother has a good service attitude, and he opens the door to receive me very late in the morning.
GGuest UserHi we just wanted a hotel within close distance of Reading town centre on a budget. It had all that we needed but could have done with air con. The staff were very accommodating and listened to any needs of customers.
