The beaches and pool area were awesome. The drinks were stiff and not watered down.
However, the food was terrible. Several friends and myself enjoyed 3 days of stomach-flu. Food was undercooked, soggy, and other stuff looked like it has been sitting out over night. They only provide one bottle of water to your room, the rest is questionable water from a jug.

The layout of the facility was great. We stayed in the Adults section of the resort and was able to walk/take train to the Grand Palace. Loved the relaxed atmosphere in the adults section, but if you wanted more action, loud music then you can walk to the grand palace section for all that. The resort also offered free kayaking, catamaran sailing and other activities. Buffet was okay but we reserved dinner each night at the resort restaurants and the food was great!

Staff was very nice. Food was good. Pool was very well maintained! Didn’t like how many reported times it took problems to get solved in our room. Long walks would have been nice to be carted… especially if you were VIP.

2nd time at this resort, can't imagine staying anywhere else in Punta Cana. Access to beach, friendly and helpful staff. Only area for improvement I could reach for is room cleaning, frequently did not have coffee or fresh hand towels.

We stayed at the adults only side of the resort. The rooms are outdated. The resort itself is huge and there is a lot to do. The staff had a lot of activities if the weather was poor. The food was very mediocre. Only options for breakfast or lunch is the buffet. The buffet food is always the same and doesn’t change much. The food is warm at best. You have to make reservations for the restaurants right away when you get there or you won’t get in. We read a lot of reviews before we left about staff not being friendly, we never had that experience all of the staff was very nice. The beach was beautiful. The resort was overall decent. I don’t know if I would come back but it was nice

No room service the rooms were not clean no towels. The food was not that great. The buffets were better then the restaurant’s overall it was not that great but made the best out of it

Honestly, very disappointing. It was our 30th wedding anniversary and we planned this supposedly amazing trip and unfortunately was far below average. We've vacationed with Barcelo for nearly 25 years and have never complained until now, the quality & service is what kept us coming back. The adults only resort was run down and didn't match the internet expectations. We chose to downgrade to the Palace because we knew the quality was far superior than this upcharged Adults Only Resort Room. Room was dingy & dirty. We explained to multiple management that we were celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary and not one even bothered to say congrats or thanks for celebrating with us. We will not be back to this resort and will think twice about booking or referring others to Barcelo after this negative experience.
