Guest UserOUTRIGGER Phi Phi Island Resort left me with the exact emotions that make me want to return to Thailand again and again.
From the very first moments, you feel the high level of service and an incredibly warm atmosphere. The staff here truly goes above and beyond to make sure your stay is comfortable and carefree. Genuine smiles, attention to detail, and care in every interaction – this is what creates a true sense of hospitality.
The resort itself is absolutely beautiful and harmonious: well-maintained grounds, stylish architecture, and an atmosphere of tranquility and seclusion. They've managed to preserve the feeling of a tropical island while adding modern comfort and aesthetics.
The restaurant deserves special mention. The service was superb – professional, attentive, and very pleasant. Every visit left nothing but positive impressions. The breakfasts were magnificent: a wide selection, fresh ingredients, excellent quality dishes, and very beautiful presentation.
I particularly remember a dessert the chef prepared right in front of me. It was tiramisu – incredibly delicate, perfectly balanced, and, without exaggeration, one of the best I've ever tasted. It was clear how much attention and love they put into even these small details.
It's the people who make this place special. The entire staff creates an atmosphere of calm, comfort, and genuine care, making the vacation feel truly exceptional.
Thank you to the entire team at OUTRIGGER Phi Phi Island Resort for a wonderful experience and an unforgettable atmosphere. This is a place I truly want to return to.

Guest UserThis hotel on Phi Phi Island was a fantastic stay overall. Each room is a standalone bungalow, and many have been recently renovated, giving them a fresh and stylish look that I really appreciated. With two beachfront pools, it truly feels like a perfect vacation getaway. I'd recommend staying for at least two nights, as getting here can be a bit of a journey – first a bus to the pier, then a speedboat for about 1.2 hours, which can be a bit of a hassle. So, definitely plan for a longer stay to make it worthwhile. The hotel is surrounded by a small village, making it convenient for dining and renting longtail boats. What's great is that it's not overly commercialized like Tonsai Pier; it has a wonderful secluded vibe, perfect for a relaxing holiday. I'd even say it's a great alternative to The Racha on Racha Island, which might be a bit pricier due to its closer proximity.

Юлия1980Overall, we booked for 4 days but only stayed for one, not because of the hotel but because of the sea, as it was always low tide there. We moved to another beach, Long Beach, which is simply excellent. The hotel is located a 5-minute walk from the beach, amidst numerous stalls, shops, and bars. We had 4 rooms in total; generally, the rooms were clean, towels were clean, and toiletries like shampoo and shower gel were provided. The balconies were clean with ashtrays, and the bedding was good, spotless and clean. Overall, the hotel offers good value for money. The pool was also clean and cool. We stayed in mid-March. The hotel is well-located, not far from the pier; we walked there easily with our suitcases and even stopped at a 7/12 (convenience store) along the way, as it's right next to the hotel.

Phi Phi Island is stunning, beyond words. The hotel boasts a beautiful view.
However, I was extremely dissatisfied with the front desk staff's attitude! There was this one skinny Thai girl who had a terrible demeanor. On top of that, one of our rooms experienced power outages repeatedly, 3-4 times. She refused to move us to another room until it had happened 7 or 8 times, and only then did she agree to switch rooms after our strong insistence. And that night, there was a huge downpour; I can't imagine what we would have done if the power had gone out again. Whenever we asked her for bath towels or had any other questions, her attitude was consistently poor! She clearly had a sour face the whole time!
On the other hand, the restaurant staff was excellent and very friendly. They even told us where we could go snorkeling, so welcoming! The overall cost was moderate; we had lunch and dinner at the hotel and tried most of the dishes. I wouldn't recommend the burger, but everything else was good!
The front desk staff truly made our experience very unpleasant. Additionally, the bedsheets in the room were quite dirty, which made me feel even worse. Thankfully, Phi Phi Island is beautiful; otherwise, I would have truly regretted staying at this hotel. I hope they improve the attitude of their front desk staff! And they should promptly help guests solve problems! And stop with the sour faces!
If it weren't for the great restaurant staff, I would honestly give this hotel's front desk service zero stars.

Great location if you’re looking for peace and quiet away from the crowds. If you miss the hustle and bustle or want to visit the clubs, you can take a private taxi boat to Tonsai for about 1,000 THB one way.
We stayed in the Ocean Sunset Room. Just a heads-up: it’s located on a hill, about a 10-minute walk from the beach. Hotel has free buggy shuttle between 6:00-22:00. However, it's the perfect spot for sunset lovers since you can't actually see the sunset from the beach itself. Great value for couples! The private pool offers total privacy (perfect for swimming naked! :) )and an amazing view of the sun going down.
The room was spacious and clean with a nice balcony, but it felt a bit dated. The main issue was the water pressure in the shower - it was extremely low, which was disappointing considering the price.
Breakfast was okay, pretty standard. If you’re looking for a great meal nearby, check out a local restaurant called 'Banyan' -delicious food, fair prices, and excellent service.

Facilities: The garden villa room is spacious enough, with extra beds available in both the living room and bedroom, which was very convenient for our family of two adults and two children. The large balcony dried clothes quickly. However, the room was a bit old, the air conditioner was noisy, and the bathroom door creaked loudly every time it opened or closed.
Service: We requested a room close to the snorkeling area in our booking, and they gave us a spot right in the middle of it, which was great. Upon arrival, we received welcome juice and a detailed resort explanation presented kneeling, a very nice touch. Food was delivered to the room, and overall, the service attitude was excellent.
Environment: The resort has abundant vegetation and is quite expansive, making you feel like you're staying in a forest. However, there were a lot of mosquitoes; after lying by the pool for a short while, I ended up with seven bites on my back. Every morning around 5 or 6 am, you can hear monkeys, various large birds, and boats, making it difficult to sleep in.
Hygiene: The room was cleaned very well.
Aside from that: On our first day, we went out to a restaurant recommended by reviews, and our whole family ended up with food poisoning, spending two days recuperating at the hotel. Before leaving the island, I felt a bit disappointed and decided to check out the underwater situation. Luckily, I spotted Nemo! Nemo's location: From the restaurant, walk along the beach to the first beachfront room with a pool. Enter the water and look about 1 meter outside the right side of the floating buoy area, as circled in the picture. The anemone isn't very big, only about 20 centimeters, so you'll need to look carefully.

Doreeny- Super convenient location, few minutes walk to the beach.
- Friendly staff, greeted with smile and helped to carry our luggage all the way from the pier to the hotel. given wet tissue and cold mineral water during check in, and the check in process was super quick!
- Rooms are abit old and noisy during the midnight but it was acceptable.
- They even helped to decorate for birthday, super grateful & memorable ❤️ good stay with this price, thank you will come back again for short stay!

The bungalows are cozy and well-situated, offering privacy and beautiful sea views. Falling asleep to the sound of the ocean and waking up just steps from the beach makes the stay feel special and refreshing.
The beach is peaceful and uncrowded, perfect for swimming, snorkeling, or simply enjoying the calm surroundings. The staff are kind and attentive, creating a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere throughout your stay.
Food at the on-site restaurant is fresh and flavorful, with great Thai options and seafood. Watching the sunset while having dinner is a highlight you won’t forget.

The breakfast was amazing. The grounds are beautiful with pretty flowers and lots of cute cats, however, finding our room was tough. And the internet didn’t work. As well, the bathroom was not the cleanest. I had to walk to the front counter in a towel and pass a drunk guy who literally wanted to jump my bones, because in order to reach the front you must scan the QR code which is not possible without the internet access. Anyway, the front desk staff were great in going above and beyond to replace the kettle which didn’t work initially. They also hooked us up to the alternate internet that always works on the ground and that I believe the staff use. And the front desk person also got us the dental kit as this doesn’t automatically come with the room or at all. The agent secured us the dental kit that I assumed comes with a 200 + a night room because I asked and to compensate for all the things that were not up to par with the room. The sheets had some rips or rouging from wear and tear I noticed when I got under the covers. Overall, the breakfast the next morning made it all worth it. And yes it is really that good. You get the best Thai dishes, western dishes and more for breakfast unlimited and the chef is top tier. Do what you will with this information. And there were NO roaches or lizards, only a few ants near the kettle that didn’t work lol.

I honestly don’t understand the number of negative reviews this hotel gets. Our experience was completely different, we had a fantastic stay. The staff was genuinely kind and welcoming, which made everything even better.
Yes, the property shows some signs of wear, but that’s normal for beachfront places unless you’re paying for high-end luxury. Considering the price, especially for rooms with a sea view, it actually feels like great value.
The view from our room was incredible, the ocean with some greenery in between, peaceful and beautiful at any time of day. The air conditioning worked perfectly (which is essential in Phi Phi), and everything in the room functioned as it should.
One thing to keep in mind is that reaching some rooms involves a fair amount of walking, sometimes under direct sun. This can be tiring, especially for people who are not in good physical condition or who are sensitive to heat. It may not be the best option for everyone in that regard.
This is not a luxury resort, but it’s a solid, comfortable beachfront hotel that delivers more than fair value for what you pay. Overall, I’d say it’s one of the best options in Phi Phi in its price range, and far more enjoyable than many of the crowded, stuffy places in the center.
We had a great time and would definitely stay again.
