Shangdu Hotel

We stayed for one night on arrival in Beijing as it was relatively close to Beijingnan railway station. Though the walk seemed like it would be simple, I’d recommend using a DiDi to get to the hotel as we found that a lot of the streets that the maps app told us to go down were closed off. Aside from that, the room was absolutely lovely. The staff were great. The breakfast was decent. Late checkout (2pm) was really handy as it allowed time to explore in the morning.

This hotel was a perfect place to rest after arriving in China. The staff were very welcoming and helpful, and the overall service was excellent. The room was spotless, very comfortable, and well-prepared. I really appreciated the free late check-out, which gave me extra time to relax before continuing my trip. Everything felt smooth and well taken care of — a great experience overall.

We stayed only one night. We traveled to shanghai the next day. The reception staff help us a lot and booked us a taxi to the railway station correctly. Thank you

Really enjoyed my stay here. Though the staff don’t speak English, they were very friendly and happy to help when I used translation apps. The location is conveniently located to the train station and it is easy to get Didis for exploring the city. The breakfast was delicious. One of my favourite hotels in China!
