It was a good stay overall. My only negative feedback was loud construction noise that occurred from 8 am to 5 pm daily due to the building renovations and expansions.

Huge rooms, clean and comfortable. Sadly construction on building means looking at and listening to work crews just outside our window on the fourth floor. Not quite an ocean view! Staff uniformly friendly.

The Golden Bay Belize hotel was an amazing stay. It seems like a newer hotel and had some nice touches. It also didn’t cost an arm and a leg. I wish I was able to soend more thsn 1 night. If definitely will be my Go To hotel the next time I am in Belize City!

first class hotel, the onsite restaurant is top notch for service and food. While the construction on the site made sleeping in impossible, I appreciate that the expansion is needed and will make this great hotel even better with the addition of a swimming pool.

The hotel and staff were amazing! The store was huge and convenient— truly a one stop shop (unless you’re looking for like groceries). The guys at the front desk are very nice and super helpful. The restaurant, however, trash! The service is always extra slow even if you’re the only one there. They will write down your order and still mess it up. They also don’t alert you if they’re out of something, they just don’t give it to you and charge you full price. You should stay here if you have excursions and plan to go out. You should eat elsewhere.

The property was great, nice rooms, helpful staff, transportation, and great food. Only downside was the property was under construction with no pool and no real beach acess in this area. If you are not directly going to the islands or San Pedro. This hotel is worth it.

The hotel and room was clean and what we needed. But they are currently expanding the hotel so there was construction right outside our window making it very loud all day.

The hotel was fine for one night on the way in and out of the airport in Belize City, but nowhere near worth the price paid. The biggest plus was that the staff was responsive and friendly. The room included all the usual basics and working air conditioning, so we were perfectly comfortable. The walls are very thin, so you hear all the hallway traffic. When someone’s alarm kept going off down the hall, we could hear it clearly in our room. The front desk ended up sending someone to turn the alarm off for us when we contacted them. We were disappointed that our reservation confirmation offered free continental breakfast, but no one at the restaurant had heard anything about included breakfast. When we went down to the front desk to ask about a voucher, they said that was a promo that ended in March (10 months ago). Not only did ******* advertise free breakfast, but the in-room QR code with a link to all hotel information also stated that there was a complementary continental breakfast for guests. As I said, we were comfortable and our stay was fine, but nothing special and not worth what they charge.
