Hotel Colon

Perfect location for access to old and new town, clean room with very comfortable bed, large balcony with amazing views, good size bedroom and bathroom. Hotel provided kettle and iron upon request. Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast catered for everyone. Would highly recommend and would certainly return.

We have just returned from a 2 night stay at hotel Colon. We would certainly return. We had a sea view room and the views did not disappoint. Make sure you book sea view. We were on the 5th floor so views were spot on. The room and bathroom were spotless. We did not book in for breakfast but there are plenty of eateries nearby. Staff were friendly and helped with our enquiries. The hotel is a short walk from the beach and shops. Everything you need in a lovely location.

Stayed at hotel Colon for 9 nights . The room was spotlessly clean, good shower & nice balcony overlooking the beach. The staff were very helpful & friendly. Breakfast consisted of pastries, croissants, meats & cheeses etc. Eggs, fresh orange & coffee each day too. The situation & views are excellent & we would love to return 😎

The hotel is situated right on the sea front check in was easy, but sadly I was very disappointed as all the pictures show a sea front view and when I booked the hotel it wasn't giving a choice of seas front rooms or rooms at the rear of the property, there is a restaurant below the hotel which gives a 10% discount to guests of the hotel but we only ate here twice had I have known I was going to face away from the sea front I would have stayed elsewhere, the lift is very compact and the rooms are ok, but the water temperature in the shower is very unpredictable

Loved this hotel, staff were so friendly and helpful, room was clean, had good air conditioning and comfy beds. We also had a great view of the beach even on the first floor. Breakfast catered for what we needed and is in close proximity to restaurants, shops and bustling night life. Would recommend this to anyone wanting a both relaxing and fun experience! :)

The location is perfect. It's the biggest plus of this hotel 100%! Hotel Colon is in the heart of Old Town and a few steps from the beach! Everything is around the hotel. Not far from hotel Colon is a shop/Mercado very well equipped. In the building is lift. Good for ppl with mobility problems. Very good pressure shower and you can set up from very cold water to very hot water. What you like 😉. Between hotel Colon and hotel Marisol is bus stop. You can take the tour bus. The taxi is next to the Colon. The cleaner comes every morning but she only changes towels 2 times during 12 days, cleans the sink and sweeps the floor. You can buy breakfast every morning for 8 Euro, but to be honest it is a mini buffet with a small choice of food. Nothing special food. The best is only fresh squeezed orange juice. Next to the hotel is 3 restaurants with a good choice of food and English breakfast 😉 for the same price. I have asked about the kettle and mugs. Very fast it was delivered to our room with 4 bags of tea. If I need something like forks or a knife I can bring it from the canteen. No problems at all! Thanks. I didn't meet a lot of English ppl, mostly Spanish... it's okay. The staff was nice and friendly and helpful. At night shift some guys didn't speak English but were always polite and respectful. They took our baggage in a locked/safety room. ----------+++---- I have to write about the bad sides of the hotel, because if the Hotel Colon advertises that it has balconies or other facilities that we pay for, it needs to be verified! I chose H. Colon because there is a lot of positive feedback, so let's talk about it😁 I've booked an economic twin room. Yea I realized that it is only a budget room, but... 👎The room is a very small! To be honest I was disappointed because I expected a minimum of comfort. 👎Very narrow beds. One of bed has a wheels🙄 you can imagine what was in the morning🙈?! The bed moves in any way! 👎 Air-conditioning. Not possible to change settings. Poor aircon as it is blocked and you are not able to set the right temperature! Of course you can try but save your time😉is blocked. 👎Very very small fridge, MICRO fridge. You can put in a few pop cans, that's it! 👎Balcon🙄? I don't think so the balcony only a very narrow small piece of concrete. It is not possible to take a sit and enjoy time in the evening or night, because no table and it is not possible to fit 2 people there! I don't want to mention the table, chairs and more than 2 ppl. 👎Bathroom, not ventilation in. Every day I felt a specific, unpleasant smell. Something like mold, bleh. 👎The view from the room is a view of the second massive building.That's all! 👎Our flight to home was late at night. So I had to spend time in a hotel or walking around town. Check out at 12 pm. Lobby is small with small sofa separate from canteen but only transparent paravane. Rest room but no Aircon so you can boiled because 1 of July temperature shown 39°C. It is not possible to take a shower becaus

The hotel itself is nice it has a stair lift iff older peaple need it to go up to reception.I asked for a kettle and was given one with tea and sugar and cups of corse.The pillow where quite hard and it very noisy during the day as its right next to the dove park and lots of peaple around.Its also noisy at night it never seems to be quiet with all the younger end going back to their hotels at 4-5-6 in the morning so iff you want peace and quiet its defonetly not going to be for you and the spanish come out late at night when its cooler with their very young children some screaming.That is the only reason i wouldnt go back.The staff are very polite lovely and helpfull

Great little hotel positioned in the old town area and dating from the 60's. We went half board and had a fabulous balcony room which overlooked the beach, marina and dove fountain/ park. On our arrival which unfortunately we had a bit of a hike to the hotel as the medieval market was on and the bus could not drop us at the door. The member of staff on duty welcomed us and helped us to our room. Breakfast is a good selection of continental and cooked bacon and eggs to choose from. Evening meals you have a limited choice of meat or fish dishes which if you do not like is a little disappointing, staff agreed to change our booking to bed and breakfast and gave us a refund for the evening meals. On the whole we very much enjoyed our stay,very much the staff were friendly and very helpful in every way and have no reservations in recommending this hotel very highly to all.

Only visited the Hotel Colon this year for some evening meals out on the terrace . Once again the meals were lovely although quite expensive , but once again the 6 same girls as last year were on hand to give you a very good service . Higher meal prices are due to the position and views .
