5/5 Really nice place to stay. The room was very clean, the bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was also super clean, which is very important for me. Everything felt simple, cozy, and well taken care of. The owners were very friendly and welcoming. They were helpful and made us feel comfortable, not like just another guest. You can tell they care about the place and about people staying there. The location is also very convenient if you travel by car. There is a lot of parking, a store is about 10 minutes away by drive, and many attractions are not too far. Very easy to get around. Another big plus is how peaceful and beautiful this area is. It’s a great spot if you like nature and birdwatching. Very quiet, nice views, and just a relaxing place to stay. Price was also very reasonable. Overall we had a really good experience here and would stay again for sure.

This hotel is simple clean and a nice place to stay, the owner is a very nice person very helpful and helps make the place. Not many food options in Bicknell itself (and the attached restaurant is currently closed) we went to the Rock reef cafe in Torrey which was excellent for both breakfasts and dinners.
Response from Property: thank you

We drove over from Torrey, looking for a decent place to eat and liked how SunGlow was describe a family restaurant. We were pleasantly surprised by the updated menu with American and Mediterranean options. We ordered the Chicken Breast and Chicken Kabob. The Chicken Breast came with a wonderfully fresh salad and homemade dressing. The kabob included a pita and hummus plate that reminded me of authentic hummus I know from Dearborn. It was so good after a long day of hiking. The kabob was better than the breast. Afterwards we got the pie sampler as we had to try the world famous pickle pie and the pinto bean pie. Both were good but just a couple bites were enough. Our favorites were the Butter Rum/Lemon and the Oatmeal pies.
Response from Property: So glad we met your expectation!

5/5 stars. We had a really great stay at Sun Glow Hotel in Bicknell. The room was very clean, the bathroom and toilet were spotless, and everything felt fresh and well taken care of. The bed and mattress were very comfortable, which is super important after a long day outside. The place was also quiet, so we slept really well. The owners were very kind and welcoming and made the stay feel warm and easy. You can feel that they really care about their guests. Parking was easy, and the location is very convenient. There is a grocery store about 10 minutes away by car, and in the area you can also find local products like honey, which was a nice bonus. What we loved most is that this is an excellent place to stay for birdwatching. A lot of people come to this area for that, and the location is really convenient if you want to explore nearby birding spots. Bicknell Bottoms is very close, and Capitol Reef birdwatching areas are also within a comfortable drive, around 30 minutes or so depending on where you go. If you enjoy nature, quiet mornings, and watching birds, this hotel is a very good base. Overall, this place covers all the important things travelers care about: clean room, clean bathroom, comfortable bed, friendly hosts, easy parking, and a very convenient location. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it, especially for anyone coming to this area for birdwatching.

We decided to try this restaurant based on TripAdvisor reviews and were not disappointed. Marvin Canto is an absolutely amazing chef. We ate there both evenings and tried four different entrees none of whose prices exceeded $20. All were prepared with the utmost care, great seasonings, beautiful presentation, and perfectly cooked. We would recommend the cod, the salmon, the Malibu chicken sandwich, and the chicken kabobs. Not to be forgotten are his delicious pies. Do not pass up this place if you are anywhere near Capital Reef.
Response from Property: Thank you so much for your feedback. Looking forward to seeing you again.

The office staff was no where to be found. Tried to call the numbers left on the counter of the office and there was no answer to either number. Not very professional. Only and last time I stay here. If someone was in the office I would have checked out and found a different hotel.
Response from Property: So sorry for your experience

Stay here! I haven't stayed at a motel in ages, but the Sunglow was my best option on the night before visiting Capital Reef and it was an excellent choice. The rooms were far nicer than other hotels we stayed in during our trip to the five parks. The Sunglow's rooms have recently been done and reflect a modernity that the exterior does not. Great furniture, HVAC, and an excellent bathroom. Also, get some of that pie!

When I pulled in the parking lot I had my reservations as the parking lot was all broken asphalt and holes. Didn't have any other options so I checked in to get a nights sleep and visit Capitol Reef the next day. Opened my room door and boy was I surprised. The room was recently remodeled. Bed was big and comfortable with nice hardwood floors and nicely updated. The people were very accommodating. Definately would recommend.
Response from Property: Thank you very much for staying with us .

Very clean and nicely redone. It had everything I needed. The owners were responsive. My family lives in the next town over, and when they came by they were very impressed by what the reason owners have done with the hotel. I would recommend it to anybody coming down here to visit if they're looking for a simple, clean tasteful place. Plus the restaurant next door is famous for their pies

Looking for a place to stay that got good reviews near Capital Reef, I chose the Sunglow Hotel from the very few available options before leaving for this trip. This is actually an old motor court type of place; a one story “U” shaped layout with parking outside your door. The rooms are clean but very basic. Our room gave the appearance of having been very recently refurbished. Everything was clean and new and possibly not yet completely furnished. Our king room didn’t have any type of closet or clothes hanger, no iron or board, no microwave, no desk lamp, etc. The small bathroom has a nice tub shower with a small wall mounted lavatory and no counter space and is nicely tiled. Room lighting consists of a rather harsh ceiling light and two bedside lamps on small dressers. The bathroom has only the ceiling light / fan. There is a pod type coffee maker. On the plus side, the shower head is high so I didn’t have to stoop. The hotel has an attached restaurant that is currently closed due to staff shortages. The Owner / manager, Kevin has a restaurant cooler in the office where he sells “World Famous Pickle Pies” as well as other pies. The bed is very comfortable, as are the pillows and I slept better here than anywhere else so far on this trip. On this and recent trips, we have stayed at other four and even five star hotels and this is among the most expensive yet is the most basic hotel we have stayed in. This is the result of very little competition in a popular and rather desolate region near a great national park, Capital Reef.
Response from Property: Dear guest, thank you for taking your time to share a experience about you stay, however when you book a room through the third party please pay attention for the details what’s include in the room so you won’t brake your expectations!!! Other than that would try to improve every day! Since your visit we had some hangers into the rooms! Thank you for choosing Sunglow!
