Days Inn by Wyndham Austintown

The manager on duty today was absolutely heartless and rude. She isn't trying to work with me an won't even give me a key. To get back into my room if I had to leave to get the money.

The front desk lady, Lela was absolutely rude and very non understanding of my situation and was full heartedly wanting me to sleep in my car, along with my dog, and 3 other people. Even with me crying and unable to muster a sentence. She smiled and continued to grin at me asking me " it's not my problem you're homeless, what do you want me to do? "

Smoke detector was missing and the room had an unpleasant odor.

The actual motel looks nothing like the pictures. The rooms are filthy, stains galore on the bedding and furniture, mold in the bathroom, mirrors were covered in handprints and fingerprints. The rooms are small, so small that two people can’t pass each other in front of the bed. There was no tv remote and when I inquired at the front desk; they gave me a remote that didn’t work and when I asked about that, they said they’d have to send maintenance down. They didn’t. We had a double queen room and we had one towel in the bathroom. Again I had to stop down at the front desk (because the phones didn’t work…they were “renovating”), the front desk lady argued that there was two and that was enough for my family of 4 for the entire weekend. Miraculously she found more when another guest overheard my request for more towels. I was charged twice for the same room for the entire weekend so I now have to dispute the charge on my end. The black out curtains on the window were broken. The guy checking me out was rude. The “breakfast” is cereal and toast. My in-laws were traveling with us. Their shower leaked so every time someone took a shower, they stepped out of the tub into puddles of water. Honestly, one of the worst places I’ve ever stayed. We were in town for a state sport championship so all hotels near the venue were booked solid because I did try to find something else.

This truly was the worst stay I could ever imagine. The tub was DIRTY, the walls were dirty, the smoke alarm was hanging from the ceiling, there was no remote for the tv, the phone didn’t work, the alarm didn’t work, there was a 2 towel per room limit with a 4 person stay and the coffee machine had no basket in it. I could keep writing complaints, all in all it was literally the worst stay of anywhere, EVER.

The room was ok but the towels were dingy looking and the bathroom was horrible. Never seen anything like this before, I will not be coming back to this hotel again.

We cancelled this reservation. The front desk clerk was there, however, for some reason, we had to stand and wait for 5-10 minutes before we could check in. The elevator was broken. Once we got to the room it was nasty. It stunk, the mattress stunk, handles on the dressers were broken or missing. Vent grates were broken. It wasn't very clean. We turned around and left!

When we arrived the TV didn't work. There was no smoke alarm. The heater didn't work. The shower had fell off the wall. The outlets on the lamps didn't work. There weren't any outlets by the bed so we had to use the power ***** the lamps were plugged into. My boyfriend went to plug in a charger in a power ***** behind the bed and got stuck with a dirty needle under the bed. I had to take him to the emergency room and now his blood needs to be tested every month.

New owners, many things need to be fixed, phone line unconnectable, toilet running, not so clean, has a lingering odor, dirty sheets. TV outdated. caulking.
