I stayed for one night at this lovely B&B, I'm a solo traveller, so feeling comfortable and safe is paramount and had absolutely no worries staying here. I met by Andrew who was extremely welcoming. My room was really lovely, absolutely spotless and I liked the small touches that make such a difference, an individual teapot, complimentary milk, water, fruit, mints, and yummy homemade biscuits, as well as nice toiletries. The room was decorated beautifully as was the rest of this very old building! It's certainly well loved. The bed was comfortable and the outlets have USB points, which are very handy for charging devices. Hairdryer, fridge, iron, and dressing gowns too A cosy lounge was available ,and a small bar provided a range of drinks. Breakfast was very good, good range and the breakfast room again was lovely and the table set immaculately. The location is really nice, I stayed for an event at High Force Waterfalls, which was a short drive, and the village itself is very quaint. Although a carpark is provided, the drive is very narrow , so i parked on the road outside, but no issues, really. As this is a very old building, obviously noise can travel, and whilst I slept ok, the noise from the kitchen below travelled through early morning , fortunately I was already awake, but I was aware of a tv/ radio but not sure if this was from there or another guest, however like I said, it is an old building so that can be expected. Travelling with earplugs is recommended wherever you go ! But all in all, a lovely, comfortable stay. Beautiful room, great food, and hospitality.
